You're a godsend!! I know this is an old video, but I just barely got this problem and wrote it off as a lost cause!! Thank you, immensely, for restoring the hope in this single mama!!
This was a great way to repair the van. It took me only 20 minutes to repair. It even gave me a chance to clean the soda that I spilled in the cup holder. I thought that I would have to take it in to the dealership. Thank you
Can’t thank you enough! The walkthrough and the part number were essential! I have a 2019 Sienna and this worked for me so update your description so you get everyone cause this was perfect. Thank you!
Great video even I replaced it !! I’m a stay at home mother with two kids under 3 my husband is always working so I went to the dealer and it was so expensive to replace because they wanted to replace the whole console I googled the and your video was the first one that came up.. I gave it a try and I freaking did it!!!! Thanks a lot you saved me a lot of money!!!!
That's fantastic! Thanks for sharing. My wife will really appreciate your story :) If you haven't already, please subscribe to my channel so UA-cam will continue to support it. And if you really want to Help Me Out, pass it on :) I really appreciate it!
Thank you so much for this!! This has been broken on my van for years now and I just fixed it myself by following your steps. This is awesome! Many, many thanks!!
Thank you so much!!! I was able to fix it myself quite easily following your instructions. I so appreciate you taking the time to record these instructions!
This video was the best. Great pictures and descriptions and after watching the video about five times I changed the box in about ten minutes. Two separate dealerships were going to charge over $175 to do the deed and it cost me $38+ $8 shipping. Thanks very much for taking the time to create it.
Just used your video to replace this part! Your video is 100% correct. I was able to replace my broken part in the same time it took me to watch the video. Thanks!
Worked like a charm! I typed the part number you referenced (in the video) into Amazon and got one for 42 dollars. It shipped straight from a Toyota dealer. I called a Toyota “steal”ership in town and they wanted 62 dollar plus tax. Thieves.
Worked like a champ, thank you. Only alibi for me was that the cupholder and front panel piece came out together for me. No apparent harm done so I just got lucky. Merry Christmas!
Dude, I think someone should give you a cape with an S on it, for "Sienna" haha Do you know how many Sienna drivers are out there right now, driving around with floppy console doors?! And no, that's not a double entendre. When I went to the dealership, they told me I had to replace the entire center console. And they told me that the "part" alone cost in the neighborhood of $600 (w/o labor). So I went onto Thief-bay, and picked up a brand new take-out for about $250, and installed it myself. Does anyone here know the zip code for dealerships in HELL ? I'm going to order a couple of these to have on hand, since the new Sienna is completely different (& scream'n beautiful, ta boot). GREAT video & info! Thank you, Super Siennaman!

Thanks for this video. I have the same issue. Wonder if you can share an estimate cost of the part replacement as well as how ling it takes to receive the part? Cheers!
This is a well-done video and an impressive repair: he did all of this one-handed, while filming with the other hand. However, I bought the part he indicated, replaced it as he indicated, and it did not repair the latch or let the latch close. This video needs more troubleshooting and analysis of the problem. Clearly, in my case, replacing the part this video deals with, did not solve the problem of the latch not working. Something else caused that problem, which this video does not answer or address. There should have been a little more troubleshooting and/or problem solving before claiming that this replacement would fix this problem.
@@rolling1885 Where, or how, does that attach to the box? I purchased the part identified in the video and there was no "T" shaped piece, but I found the old one and did not see how it attached to the box, or worked.
The part number is: 58802-08011, "BOX, SUB-ASSEMBLY, CONSOL". I found it online for $37 plus shipping. There are many toyota parts websites, for example, toyotapart.com.

What is the other part you need to keep the lid shut?
you need the little "T" shaped piece that comes through to catch the lid
