I see so many other video related to the cars but this video the way he done is amazing. Simply explain anybody can understand. Thank you so much for helping others. God help you.
incredible detail and step by step instruction. i am a stereo installer and this was excellently done. the front speaker plug is also the power plug (just FYI)
Your video is very clear and easy to understand. Please add videos that show how to install an after market head units like those with android auto and carplay. Thank you.
Thank you. It is a good video and I want to remove my stereo as the prevous owner installed an aftermarket unit and, at some point, before, during, or after, it seems like something was dropped down a dash vent and is now rolling around in the air ducts. I needed this video to access the duct work. Your video is very useful.
Of the 4 connectors that you removed from the back of the stereo, 2 speakers, 1 steering wheel controls and 1 you called the USB connector ... is it the USB connector that I would need to "tap" into if i wanted to add a second AUX input connector onto my dash? In my 2014 Sienna LE I have a stock USB and AUX input that is on the dash at the bottom of the center, below the cup holders. Is it this USB and AUX input that travel to the USB connector you mentioned in the video? If so, can I tap into the AUX cord somewhere there then, instead of at the back of the stereo? Thanks!
Hi Nrz, Do you know how to remove the DVD player below the Cup Holder (Lower Dash Board)? I am going to install a new NAVI with a DVD player and need to connect it to my rear display
Thank you! It’s amazing, I will try on my sienna 2012. CD compartment has coin in it. Hope I can remove them. Please let me know if I have follow further instructions. You are awesome
Thank you for this video, I'm removing the exact sienna radio and replace with a Toyota OEM with navi. There's an extra connector on it which is the GPS antenna, but it doesn't have the backup camera input. I have to call Toyota and see.
Hey, could you please let me know if it worked for you ? I have 2013 Toyota Sienna SE with regular CD/Radio unit and want to upgrade with OEM Toyota Navigatiom JBL unit. I was told it will not work because of amplifier. Please let me know how it went for you.
@@Nicholas_gabriel Funny you should ask, that was 4 yrs ago when I did this. Anyway shortly after I installed the OEM head unit I everything works, gps, radio, entune...ect. But I wasn't happy because the map was outdated, dealer wants $340 to upgrade. Got angry and remove and sold on ebay. I replaced with Dasaita Android head unit, so happy I wish I did that before I wasted my time with an OEM. Hope this help.
@@steveofsd thank you for the answer. I just want to clarify. Did you have just the CD/Radio unit - that is the unit in LE, SE model - and you installed OEM Used Navigation unit from Limited Edition ? Did it work ? Did the wiring work ? GPS unit has lost more wire slots. Pleasr let me know if you have time.
@@Nicholas_gabriel Yes I have the OEM SE basic cd/radio unit, and when I upgraded to the OEM unit from a limited/XLE navi unit I had to mess with the wiring to get it to work. I went to the dealer to get the wiring schematic and get the right pin to the connector. I'm a Mech Eng with electrical background so was easy to do.
How can i connect all the wiring harness of my pioneer avic Z1 unit to the wiring harness of my sienna 2014 xle because they are not the same harness. Thank you
Yes, we've lost some items behind the cup holder too! We only have access to a 2013 Sienna, but the 2011 model should be similar. Hopefully we can at least give you a good starting point - thanks for your comment and check out the video here: ua-cam.com/video/xvWiGjR90Ds/v-deo.html
Regarding the XM Radio, my Pioneer aftermarket radio has this round female connector on the back which I'm trying to find an adapter that would convert the blue square Toyota XM. Does such an adapter exists?
Check your manual to see if that port is meant for an "XM Vehicle Connect Tuner" in which case you'll need to get that first. Then, Google XMA-TOY or XMF-TOY which should link to some adapters that might fit the tuner.
Hello, thank you for the feedback. I've got a Pioneer AVH-2300NEX that has a XM port at the back which looks like the old-school round S-Video plug with 10-pins. I've looked at the XMA-TOY and XMF-TOY, and neither of them would work in my case. Here's the back of my unit: cdn.qualitymobilevideo.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/p/i/pioneer-avh-2300nex-double-din-multimedia-car-stereo-0.jpg The XM connection is the 3rd from the top left.
Hi, your install manual says this port is for an XM Tuner, specifically suggesting model SXV300. So, the tuner box will have a cable that goes into that port. Then you will need one of the adapters to connect the van's antenna cable to the tuner box.
I was afraid that I would spend additional money on this hardware and then find a way to mount it to the Sienna with the existing SirusXM antenna. I do appreciate you looking into it, but I'm going forget about adding the XM Radio feature that we barely (if ever) use.

Thank you for the top notch video instruction for removing the stereo system. Everything was identical to my 2013 XLE AWD Toyota Sienna.
Extremely well-done video. Please do more!

This is one of the best removal videos I've ever seen. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your help my brother broke the radio so we got a new one. Thank you for the removal video. 🥳
BTW bet removal video on youtube, no heavy background noise, no jerky video, no heavy accent, and best editing of all.
thanks for the help ! found my noise coming from the radio cooling fan , sprayed it with electric spray lube all is good for now
Thank you! I have chipmunks living in my dash and this is really going to help me check for damage.
Excellent video and clear explanation! Thank You
Best removal video, hands down.
Great video. Just one question. What size are the hex screws?
Awesome. Clear,concise and articulate ....

Ty but my cupholder stuck with a too large object.
Good 👍 👍 👍
