I wish I could, I've never been able to buy the consoles, the only time I didn't play on an emulator, was Blue, just because my brother had got a Gameboy Color, and after I insisted he gave it to me, I loved that experience, sadly the game boy broke and I couldn't play anymore, but at least I became champion before that (unlike my mario bros game where I didn't get to finish the very last level)
And all this was like 8 years ago

I've always loved your "party of the year" videos, it's become a personal tradition for me to make a team of 6 Pokémon that in some way touched me throughout the year, whether it's through the anime, a special card I found, something that happened during my playthrough of the newest game, things like that, it's really fun!

Love seeing your “canon” team! 😊 Are you going to use your team to play the Indigo Disk? That’s what I’m doing for it, and I’m super excited! The nostalgia is real! 😊
My team is going to be:
    Cinnamon the Cinderace (Shield)
    Peaches the Raichu (PLA)
    Sage the Meowscarada (Violet)
Golly the Golem (lost in Crystal, remade in Violet)
    Lady the Milotic (Alpha Sapphire)
Tiny the Sylveon (very small boy from PLA)

Stuff like this makes the Dex cuts of recent games all the more painful.
You can't use or see all your prized mons in HD glory and have to store them as .png's in an app you can't do anything with while having to pay an annual fee just to have access to them.
This is why the Dex cut is such a problem. :(
We need things to change, we deserve better, we deserve the STANDARD again.

While I have always considered Ralts to be one of my all-time favorites, there is only one Pokemon I love even more than Ralts. My first journey through the original Gen 2 games was with a copy of Crystal, and at the time I didn't know that Shiny Pokemon were a thing. I remember seeing the starter choices for the first time and thinking that Totodile looked a little too silly for my first run (ended up being my second playthrough's starter) and Chikorita was too adorable to throw into battles. Then I saw Cyndaquil. That tiny shrew with his back burning like a campfire in the night just clicked with me, and I ended up naming him Quilly.
The very first time he was sent out into battle, he popped out of his Pokeball with a ring of sparkles and purple fire. Again, as I didn't know about Shiny Pokemon at the time, I thought it was something special for your Starter, and didn't think much about it. When I showed Quilly to one of my friends as part of sharing my team (I was about to enter Slowpoke Well in Azalea Town at the time) she _begged_ me to never get rid of that save file and to never, _ever_ trade Quilly away for any reason. She then explained the Shiny phenomenon to me and pointed out that getting a Shiny for a starter as my first out-of-the-box save file was super rare.
Quilly ended up being my very first Lv100 Pokemon ever, and when I eventually made it to Red at the summit of Mt. Silver, it was Quilly who faced down Red's Pikachu when the two of them were the last standing Pokemon on either team. Unfortunately, a few weeks later, I had my Gameboy Color plugged in using the wall adapter when tragedy struck. A power surge to the house caused by lightning ended up frying both my Gameboy _and_ my Crystal cartridge. So while I may have lost his physical form, Quilly still lives in my heart and memories. I even remember his final moveset! Flame Wheel, Flamethrower, Thunder Punch (Typhlosion could learn it through TM in OG Gen 2), and Earthquake. My violet-flamed son was a *_BEAST_* on the battlefield!
I have never tried to get another Shiny Cyndaquil. Partially due to not wanting to taint the memory of my Shiny Boi, but mostly because ever since Ruby and Sapphire, the Shiny colors have been changed. No longer was it jet black body with white belly and violet fire. Now... a burnt cinnamon-orange body and regular boring orange fire. Still.... Quilly is my absolute all-time #1 Favorite Pokemon *_EVER_* and while there have been several who have come close to his spot, none have ever taken his throne. And none ever will.

Man, seeing all these mons in one setting is such a vibe! I've always loved how different everyone's catalogue is! I've actually made an all star roster a few months back:
    1. Mega Swampert (my first ever pokemon)
    2. Scizor
    3. Dragonite
    4. Reuniclus
    5. Infernape
    6. Porygon-Z/Polteageist (depending on the day)
I used them all in the respective regions they came from and they all have a special place in my heart (as well as helping me a lot in tough battles haha). Great video as always!!

I love this type of video, in general but especially on this channel. I just feel like Toby brings such a childhood nostalgia to them! It makes me smile without fail.
The oldest Pokemon of mine I have in home us my original Pokemon Y starter, a Greninja named Slip. but I've been playing since Yellow in Gen 1 and remember many more. Ever since that scrapbook first got covered in a video I've wanted to make one of my own. Maybe this year at last, after the holidays!

I don’t wanna say this as if you’re done with Pokemon for good or anything, cause hopefully you’ll still play the games, and who knows, maybe come back to make videos someday, but it’s pretty poetic that you began your Pokemon adventure with a Spanish copy of Pokemon Yellow, and are finishing up your UA-cam career with covering the Spanish themed Scarlet and Violet. Pretty crazy, yet beautiful ❤️

A Pokémon that stuck out to me the most was my Arctozolt in Pokémon Shield. I got a friend to trade me the necessary fossils and I named him Mr. Sniffles. He helped me with all the gyms, raids, and eventually I used candies on him until he hit level 100 and then I one shot Eternatus and Leon’s team.

I recently moved some of my oldest Pokemon from original playthroughs of Sapphire & Gale of Darkness up to SV and oh my gosh the memories! Shadow Lugia, the Johto starters from beating Battle Mountain, my first ever shiny (Pelipper), Milotic (anyone else remember the torture of catching & raising this guy in Ruby/Sapphire?!). I have a random Primeape I must have thought was special enough to bring up from Sapphire to Bank, I think it would be fun to use him as an Annihilape in a new playthrough.
While every video game franchise can leave you with "core memories", there's something so special about Pokemon. Some of these little pixels have been with me since childhood, and now I can share these stories with my own family.

I always enjoy your videos but this one is probably my favourite that you've ever done - I always love seeing people's teams and the nicknames they gave their Pokémon. I have also recently been collecting cards to "represent" my in-game Pokémon, I thought I was the only person who did that! I love the book you've made and I'm really tempted to do something similar with my cards now.

Here are all the Pokémon I'm attached to :
    - Sarah, a female Umbreon wearing a Yellow Scarf (the contest item) based on my real life black panther plushie that I have since I'm a kid. It's the first plushie I ever had. She wears a yellow scarf because a long time ago, I took some kind of yellow necklace from one of my plushies and put on Sarah.
    - Mareep (no nickname), based on a cute Mareep Pokémon card that I have since I'm a kid as well and that I'm quite attached to.
    - Venīno the male Dustox. He's from my first Alpha Sapphire playthrough. When I beat Maxie, all of my Pokémon were very weak or K.O.'d. Well except for this Dustox I didn't really like and didn't train much because I wanted a Beautifly.
But since he was the only member of my team who had decent health, I put him first, and against all odds, this underleveled Dustox carried us through the Jagged Pass with Venoshock.
Since then I have massive respect for this Dustox and, much later, decided to give him the nickname Venīno, even if the original Venīno that I just talked about is long lost.
    - Blue Badass the female Gyarados. Also from Alpha Sapphire. Nothing too particular, I just really liked her.
    - Melodie the Kricketune. This one I still have but she's on a Pokémon Platinium rom. Unlike the others who are based on real life things like Sarah and Mareep or the ones from old playthroughs like Venīno and Blue Badass, I still have the original Melodie. But since it's in a rom, she's stuck there.
She's from a challenge where I didn't use attacks that do damage. Only attacks that do --- damage. And she saved the run by being the only accessible Pokémon with such a move before the first unskippable fight, that move being Bide.
    - Nosfera the Crobat. Called that because in french (I'm french), Zubat, Golbat and Crobat are called Nosferapti, Nosferalto and Nostenfer. She's emblematic because she carried me in the no damaging moves run alongside Melodie.
    - Prismielle. This one is a bit complicated. It's the event Fantasy Vivillon from X and Y, but I didn't give it a nickname back then. The first Vivillion to have that name was a pink one from the hack rom Pokémon Hard Fire, but I eventually gave that name to the Fantasy Vivillon (even if I lost it long before giving it that name just like Venīno).
And I think that's it. There might be more but those are the main ones.
My Team of 6 would be :
Sarah, Mareep, Venīno, Prismielle, Melodie and Nosfera.

I also get super attached to my Pokémon throughout the years I've played this franchise. I wanna do this same sort of diary you did with yours it's a really cute idea and keeps the memories alive. Here are a few mons with who I have pretty deep connections from our adventures (get ready for a wall of text):
-Tsutaja the Serperior, my first ever starter from my first ever Pokémon game, White 2, which my parents bought just so I could have smth to play with on 3DS when it was still brand new. I'm so excited to meet him again in the Indigo Disk, and I'm planning on using him throughout my adventure in Blueberry Academy. When I played through White 2, I got stuck and ended up having an overleveled Serperior. I decided to restart about 2 years later, but had the genius idea of transferring my team to Pokémon Bank first before restarting, so now my entire first ever team is with me (Tsutaja and a Tynamo named Alice are in HOME, gonna be the ones I'll use in Indigo Disk, the other 4 are in Sword in the Isle of Armor currently).
-Andalusia the Serperior, my starter in my second White 2 playthrough, he is the strongest in my team and I really like seeing myself with him as an ace in that game.
-Valencia the Garchomp, who I consider my ace in Platinum. She had a fierce fight against Cynthia's Garchomp and overall I like seeing her as my ace in that game as well.
-Sigmund the Gallade, he did carry me in many fights especially during the Elite 4, as well as being one of the main Pokémon I used for the Battle Frontier. He's a strong boy.
-Sun the Delphox, I fondly remember him, but unfortunately I lost him: I traded with my friends to complete the Pokédex or smth, but we forgot to trade back, as kids we probably moved on to play smth else. The day I remembered I traded him my Delphox, I asked if he still had it but he said he traded it away. I'm still pretty bummed to this day, and honestly it's for this reason why I will never abandon my starters ever again, my personal rule is that I will NEVER box whichever starter I pick in any game. I hope you're safe out there buddy...
-Athena the Aegislash, I have a strong memory of her because I evolved her too early, which meant she never learnt King's Shield, and I never found a way to make her learn that move. Still she carried me throughout Y, comes to show that even with some form of disability you can still pop off and win!
-Atlas the Latios from Omega Ruby, knowing you got one of the Eon duos FOR FREE in the remakes was amazing, plus Pokémon Heroes was and still is my favorite Pokémon movie, and while Latias is my favorite of the two I really like Latios too and he obviously carried me through the game. I also enjoyed soaring on his back across Hoenn a lot.
-Epicea the Sceptile, his mega evolution was amazing and he did carry me throughout Gen 6 Hoenn. Shoutout to Sunsick Moon the Banette, who went from a weakling and nobody to just a pretty tough and feisty Banette with a Banettite, absolutely love her.
-Echoes the Noivern, she's a VERY special one from Ultra Sun. She used to be the weakest on my team, couldn't have a situation where she could win or pop off, even after she evolved. But I still spent a lot of time with all my mons, including her, always using the Poké Amie-like feature after every battle. During the battle of Ultra Necrozma though she did a complete 180: she tanked on 1 HP ALL THREE DRAGONPULSES Necrozma threw at her, holding on and not backing down, with a pink heart popping above her head. And in the end, she was the one to solo the god of light himself, the fallen angel from Arceus' host. It was amazing, such an epic moment, and I love her for that and one of the main reasons why Noivern's among my favorite Pokémon. Against all odds, when I expected to see her fall and switching in another team member, she just spat in the face of fate and did not accept being a victim of her past. She's become the strongest of my Ultra Alola team.
-Amsterdam the Lurantis, he didn't necessarily impact me that much but I do remember him following a similar trend to Echoes, being pretty weak at the start but growing up to become one of my team's powerhouses.
-Sahara the Flygon in Sword, there wasn't any key moment, but seeing Flygon's model in SwSh just made her so cute. She also carried me through Raihan's and Leon's battle mostly, so I am pretty fond of her now. Gadget the Inteleon was also amazing, and I adore this Pokémon now, specifically giving him the Gmax soup as a reward.
-Okeanos the Hisuian Samurott, Ouranos the Togekiss and Delphyne the Hisuian Goodra have all three amazed me during my playthrough of Legends Arceus. I just love Hisui so much (Unova is my favorite region, Hisui is my second), and they did make my experience of it even better. I love seeing Okeanos as a kind of partner, not necesarily "my Pokémon", a sidekick lending a hand throughout the adventure. Delphyne has a similar story to Echoes and Amsterdam, being kind of a weakling before ending up as a powerhouse of the team. Ouranos was a Togetic I caught midair, and I was honestly super proud of catching him. He ended up carrying my team against Volo, especially in the Origin form Giratina phase.
-Saiph the Hisuian Samurott, she's the "starter" I brought for my adventure through Kitakami, originally from Hisui, and I kinda saw her in the same light as Okeanos in PLA. She's a pretty big girl compared to the average size of a Hisuian Samurott as well, and to add to her specialness she got that "Treasure Hunter" mark. I always had her outside the Pokéball when playing through Kitakami, and I just found it cute having Ogerpon and Saiph follow me at the same time at some point so I end up considering her and Ogerpon as best friends forever. Not sure if I'll bring them to Blueberry Academy because there's just so much Pokémon you can (I wanna recreate a Unova team for BB, with the exception of Duraludon who I'll evolve into an Archaludon if I can). Since she came from Hisui, I've come up with some headcanon lore that she slipped through a time and space bubble and ended up in Paldea that way, got found by my player character and had to adapt and get used to 21st century life, which was very hard on her.
-Ponpon the Ogerpon, I do include Ogerpon as part of my Kitakami team, I got really attached to her backstory and I just love how she's an absolute baby who is also freaking broken in battle.
I'm torn between leaving them in their own generation or trading them forward. On one hand, removing them from their home region is kind of tragic but on the other hand, if the cartridge battery ever runs out I'd never be able to see them again, plus with the uncertainty of how long Pokémon Bank's servers will stay active, it adds to the pressure. I love all these Pokémon and their other teammates a lot, they are part of me and pretty much made me in a way.

Best challenge I ever set myself up for was using every pokemon to beat a game from start to finish. In teams of 4 or 5, depending on the game. So for every pokemon I've got a story, I've got memories. Did it over 2 years, yet even the early playthroughs I can remember a Pokemon sweeping a gym, clutching a victory or, in the case of ditto, being totally crap from start to end 😅

There are so many Pokemon I've fallen in love with over the years, especially Gens 3 and 5. But if I had to pick one from each Gen...
1.) Magikarp/Gyarados; My all-time favorite and my first practical lesson in hard work and dedication paying off.
2.) Houndoom; just a really cool design, and in the Pichu Brothers short after it wrecks the playground, it helps fix everything up and becomes friends with the others. A real testament about not judging by appearance or first impressions.
3.) Flygon; I played Gen 3 over and over as a pre-young teen. After about 20-ish playthroughs I was like, "Huh, that Trapinch Pokemon looks kinda fun, but it's always a little late in the game. I should leave a space for it and see what it evolves into." Vibrana was a bit of a letdown, it was awkward and got beat a lot with how many Water types were in the game. But, I saw that blank space in the Pokedex and that gave me hope that something better was on the way. Flygon was love at first sight. I felt like I was seeing Charizard for the first time all over again! And it wrecked house! Always made space for Trapinch on my team for every playthrough afterwards.
4.) Honchkrow; I like Dark types. I like corvids (crows, ravens, bluejays, etc.) So, when I saw Murkrow I wanted it, but I wanted it to evolve too. Gen 4 delivered just that and, unlike a lot of the other evolutions of older Pokemon it offered, Honchkrow was actually cool and added some great lore to the line.
5.) Galvantula; Spiders are amazing. And here was a big, fluffy, yellow tarantula that could destroy Flying types. And it was based on an actual tarantula that does the same! Gen 5 had some great bugs, but Galvantula ticked all the right boxes for me.
6.) Dragalge; Oddly enough, I never got to use this Pokemon in Gen 6. The whole of X/Y left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth and I never did a great amount of exploring. But, in ORAS I made a team of shiny, Green dragons. Dragalge turned green enough for me and it had a great move pool, could annihilate those stupid Fairy types, and had a really tight design.
7.) Crabominable; I always liked Crabrawler, but like many, Crabominable's design turned me off from the line. However, I really needed a Fighting type for my playthrough of Ultra Sun, so I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. Man did that pay off in spades! Not only did my Crabrawler have an Electric type Secret Power that got me through the Water trial, but it came in clutch time and time again. So when the opportunity arose I felt I owed her the chance to evolve. Dumblebumble really had such a wonderful personality. Her goofy face really grew on me in the Refresh interactions too. And I guess she felt the same, because after the rest of my team got 1-shot by Ultra Necrosma, she proceeded to tank its Power Gem and lasted on 1HP through *three* Prismatic Lasers by the power of Love alone! I was in tears after she dealt the final blow.
8.) Sandaconda; Ever since I layed eyes on Ekans and Arbok, I thought a Ground type snake Pokemon was right around the corner. Well that corner took 20-odd years to turn, but what we got was a solid design and a power house with just the right amount of goofy, friendliness. Well worth the wait.
9.) Revavroom; I did not think the awkward car was going to win my heart, but that's what happened. I used Varoom for the Team Star Fairy base, and it was amazing! It's moves are solid and it has this goofy charm and the design grew on me. (Dipplin is a strong contender for 1st though, might even take it if the rumored 7 headed Dragon type is it's evolution.)

I end up keeping Pokémon in their home games. That’s where they journeyed and where they thrived. If I made clones of them, the clones would be up in Home though. It’s nice to see them all together. It’s also strange how memories are formed. My litten getting a burn with ember on my first ever turn in gen 7, or feeling like I discovered carbink in Kalos after going in semi-blind, or becoming attached to a druddigon at the bottom of an Isle of Armor cave and then having it by my side while I explored the dlc. Strange how they stick out.
Also, I love that cyndaquil is in your top team!

My first ever pokemon was Pikachu, in yellow but I think of my first starter as squirtle, because the squirtle from yellow I accidentally clicked that I wanted to nickname it, and I named it Water Gun. I didn’t know that was the name of a move and “water gun learned water gun” was a weird moment that I will never forget.

I usually leave my teams on the cartridges them came from if my original file is still on them (just in case I want to take a crack at a Battle Frontier or something like that), but my boxes on Home are filled with odds and ends from playthroughs on extra copies that I did to complete the Pokedex on later generations (for example, stuff from LG playthroughs that I did for Gen IV).

My team would probably be something like:
-Terranova the Torterra from Platinum. My original starter in my first game, pearl, was Piplup. I did like Empoleon, but the main reason I chose it was because my friend told me "water types are so good, get the water starter". And seeing Barry have Torterra made me kind of jealous, so when I replayed, I had to use Torterra, and I love it!
-Slice the Gallade, also from Platinum. Gallade was my favorite pokemon, both back then and now, and I was sad that I couldn't use it in the main game of Pearl. In platinum though, you can use it fairly early and I loved using it. These 2 pokemon are part of why I love platinum so much.
-Bonfire the Typhlosion. Kind of a similar deal with Torterra, my first starter in Heart Gold was Feraligatr, and I really like Feraligatr too but I saw typhlosion and wished I could use it. Got a second hand copy of Soul Silver years later and used it there.
-Honor the Samurott. Pretty poetic that I have 1 starter of each type in my top 6. I've always loved Samurott and never really got the "hate" for it being a quadraped. It is a drastic change from Dewott, but I love both. I haven't had a chance to play PLA, but when I do I will definitely be using Hisuian Samurott there.
-Railgun the Vikavolt. It's shot up to be my 2nd favorite pokemon, behind Gallade. The design is so cool and I loved using it in Ultra Sun, which was my first game back to pokemon after I took a break.
-This last spot is really tough, but I think it goes to a combination of Arcanine and Hisuian Arcanine. I love these doggos, and will definitely be using Hisuian Arcanine when I do play through PLA. I've named the regular Arcanine I've used Cooper, after my dog that passed away. He was still alive when I used my first Arcanine in White 2.
A bunch of honorable mentions: Tentacruel, Volcarona, Yanmega, Venusaur, Feraligatr and Empoleon as I've mentioned, Araquanid, Dragalge, Staraptor, Salamence, Roaring Moon, and pretty much every fossil pokemon. 3 pokemon that were fighting for the last spot with Arcanine was Skeledirge, Tyrantrum, and Steelix. They fell just a bit short. Of these, Dragalge is the only one I haven't used in a mainline game in some capacity. I've used it in rom hacks and fan games, but not in a mainline game. Maybe in gen 10 or a spinoff where it is available, I'll use it.

Oohh, gosh. My version of this… Durant, the savior of my lone successful Nuzlocke, has to be on there, as does Hitmonchan. My first ever Pokemon was a Bulbasaur, so Venusaur is on there. I still regret taking Galvantula off of my team for the Zekrom in my first Black playthrough, so Galvantula makes the team. She was a late addition to the playthrough team, but Topsy the full odds shiny Malamar from my Dark monotype of Ultra Sun has got to be on the team. She was my first encounter on Poni Island, too! Lastly, I keep coming back to Elderberry the Vespiquen from Platinum. She carried me through a lot of tough fights.

    -Let's Go Pikachu
    -Sword
    -Brilliant Diamond
    -Legends Arceus
    -Violet
And taking my teams, or what'll be left of my teams, to Home where they'll rest.

My team across time is difficult but the time I've come to is
My first ever pokemon, emboar, that still journeys with me today all the way from Asperita City
My shiny magby from crystal that I got first try on the odd egg and never evolved since I like shiny magby more. Couldn't take a hit but keahi could deal some damage
Then it would be my decidueye from my favorite team, usum. I named my Rowlet before sun and moon were even out and have always used that name.
Then would be my mega ampharos also from usum, that I later named boba. Absolute machine that carried that run
Then my alpha ursaluna that I caught as an ursaring at level 52 before I even did the ursaluna quest in the mirelands
Finally my manaphy named Navi from bdsp, I used to hate manaphy cause of how rare it was and I hated that I couldn't evolve phione, once I finally got to use one though it changed my view that every pokemon is great if they are a partner on your journey
    Soar high pokemon masters

I remember the first pack of Pokemon cards I opened. Charmander was the first card in the pack, so that line will forever hold a spot on my team. A bit basic, I know, but it's my first pick. Flygon is my favorite Pokemon, so any time I can get one it immediately goes on my team. I remember catching a shiny Heracross in my old copy of Silver, so I'd add that on my team since it was my first non-event shiny Pokemon. Another kind of basic pick, but Gardevoir carried me through Ruby & Sapphire. Toxtricity, just because I formed a bond with it through Sword, and it fit the punk aesthetic I gave my character. If legendary Pokemon are allowed, I'd go with Giratina, but if not my final pick would have to be Lucario for always being reliable in a pinch.

Across Time: I usually gracitare to a handful of pokemon and if i love i will give all pokemon of that Species that name.
Charizard is split to Zard-X Azula and Zard-Y Zuko and if no Mega it Iroh
    Nidoking is NidoGod
Flygon is Mojave: My first Ribbon Master who is waiting for Indigo Disc to enter Paldea
Sableye is Dementor - I had to give my "mascot" a name but i ususally don't care
I rarely give nicknames in general so these 3 all the time even if i don't type it into the game.

My favorite pokemon to this day is my STARTER POKEMON FROM RED.
Drake the Charmander... and woof... this guy had a lot of problems through the journey.. struggling against gyms at the start and trainers.. Having an oddish support it against Misty.
But then at Surge... it fought so much battles and lost and now it was a powerful charmleon and Surge was defeated in no time.
Drake finally unlocked the dragon within them. Blue was tough along the way especialy on the St. Anne but by then.. Drake already overcame his weaknesses.. right before Surge yes.
After that he went through trainers and gyms like a beast.. becoming a charizard with a strong move set. Using strength to get through boulders (I didn't teach him fly XD).
Even Giovanni in the gym was NO match for this beast.... infact other pokemon were just there to support it like my Snorlax that knew surf.
We entered the Elite four... and it was a rough ride since Charizard was the only pokemon who could bring an actual fight. The victory road before it was a challange too.. but the elite four...Lorelei was difficult but do able, Bruno with his onix's was scary but I chugged through it, Agatha was destroyed... and then Lance...my greatest obstacle.. This is where Drake got his xp from rematching previous members.. getting stronger... beating Lorelei and Bruno easiely, but then Lance came up and it was tough... really tough...
Eventually with enough items I brute force my way through...Drake was tired.. my team still half standing...I won... and then... HE CAME...
I had to fight my rival one more time....Drake was tired.. I was tired... my team was tired... my supply of items and PP draining. But I gave it a shot.. Most of Blue's team was higher level but it was do-able. Drake was taking them out slowly but surely... and then... the blastoise came up... 3 levels above him... My PP for earthquake and Flame Thrower and strength all on 1.
All my other mon's fainted... I knew I couldnt rely on items anymore... SO I WENT FOR IT!
Earthquake hit, he withdrew, Flamethrower regardless GOOD DAMAGE! He hydropumps and misses! I had only but one strength left and 1/4 hp left.. I prayed.. I strengthed..it wasn't enough.. he had but a slither of health left... ANY MOVE COULD KO IT!
Blastoise hydropumped Drake... I thought I was done for... But drake held on at just as low as a slither of health as the blastoise... I was shocked.. but I knew healing drake was pointless.. I had no PP. I looked at Drake and said: "It was a good run.. but we will try again later."
But Drake.. didn't give up...I pressed fight.. I had no PP.. Drake used "STRUGGLE" I was like: "What's this?" He attacks Blastoise... and it's just enough to faint it... and Drake took some recoil damage but CLINGED ON! ...I won... I was champion... Drake... DID IT.
All his life he started as the loser but kept growing strong... getting confident..and then..when it started to lose again.. it remembered and it's flame increased and when it was so close to victory.. Drake said no.. He doesn't want to go down fighting like this again.. Not with victory this close... So he did what he knew best.. HE STRUGGLED FOR THE WIN! And took it.
And that's why all my fire starters have a variation of Drake as a name.
And I like to believe... Drake the Elite Four Member of Hoenn... took his name of that famous Charizard that struggled it's way to victory XD

Its getting closer & yeah its gonna be sad to see you go.
    Pokemon i have love for.
AG - Nidoking i used when yellow came to virtual console. He got that name because i always pictured if he could speak he'd sound like Al Gore from south park.
Ruby - shiny crobat i caught in legends, it has that name because my 1st shiny was a zubat in ruby. I evolved it to crobat it became a powerhouse. In legends my 1st shiny was a Golbat who i evolved to crobat & got the name ruby so its in my lore my 1st shiny zubat ancestor.
Puff - Furfrou i used in my 1st Nuzlocke of Pokemon Y, it was funny because everytime he used headbutt it just killed every Pokemon so he felt like the last resort or when a Pokemon is tough id send Puff in to end it.
Juggernaut - Torterra i used in my playthrough of platinum during lockdown. He was just a tough Pokemon & held his ground
Tuppence - Stoutland i used in a playthrough of white during lockdown. Named after a dog i had & i wanted to use a normal type.
Erza - Gogoat i used when i got Pokemon Y. I had been watching the B&W anime and when you see gogoat i was like what pokemons that it looks really cool.

I have a number of Pokemon teams in the past but I have my sentimental value Pokemon, all in Home
Inviur the Infernape, the very first Pokemon I picked in Pokemon Diamond
Victoria the Volcarona, hatched from the egg you receive near route 1 in Black, brought her through the elite four as part of my party
Luke the Lucario, the gift Lucario Korrina gives the player in Y
Marley the Manectric, Omega Ruby, encountered the same wild encounter Electrike with the same gender and level 4 times in a row
Brave the Braviary, gen 6, made a trade with someone online, they asked me to take good care of the Braviary, he made for a good HM friend
Brooke the Rillaboom, Masuda Method for a shiny female HA Grookey once Home compatibility became available and HA Grookey was made available

I have had a Pikachu on almost every team I've had, since pokemon red. As far as teams go, when asked about it, the main group is Pidgey, politoad, Pikachu, venonat, volbeat and Mankey. that's between generations one threw seven, I lost interest in pokemon after generation eight, too many encounters with red keeping me from progressing no matter how hard I tried. I like Pikachu, because it's been my main Pokemon threw the years.

I love my virtual console Silver Team that I named after Mustang's Team from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
    Typhlosion - Mustang
    Noctowl - Hawkeye
    Havoc - Ampheros
    Quagsire - Feury
    Heracross - Breda
    Espeon - Falman
And Sentret was my HM User and I anmed him - B. Hayate after Hawkeye's Dog.
They names also mostly fit the characters. Mustang uses fire, Hawkeye had a bird name, Ampheros paralyses people and Havoc gets paralysed (yes, dark humour), Feury has such a badass name but he is kinda a nerdy character and I felt this fit Quagsire the best. Breda is the touch guy so it fits Heracross and Falman is just the last one but he is older and wiser so a psychic type fits him.
