To anyone that might be watching this guide after the latest patch, the new Skald archtype is absolutely massive for a summoner. It gives your minions everything a regular skald does plus it debuffs the enemy AND it gives sneak attack to your pets. It also gets rogue sneak attack talents and can give the use of them to everyone, including all your summons. It also has an aggro generation mechanic to it of unknown effectiveness, to draw fire from your pets and squishy party members. It's so good, I highly recommend converting a normal companion or make a merc to be the Inciter Skald if you are going for the minion master route.

Yes a Bard , i know not many people play Bards , but for me is the best class in Pathfinder/D&D and if the game don't have a Bard i really lose interest , great to see the master of builds making another Bard , and no surprise amazing build , really looking foward for more builds and if you are going to make builds for BG3, have my like friend !!!
I am not sure if it works with other bonded objects, but my Herald of the Horn Azata can use the bonded object to reset mythic spellbook spells. This includes 2nd wind (and presumably heroes never surrender) which allows for the resetting of all abilities, including bonded object, essentially making all ability uses unlimited. Granted, this is very likely an unintended interaction like the infinite attack loop of the aspect of kalavakus wolf. Nonetheless, thats infinite mythic summons and treants. I havent tested it (maybe its covered later in the video), but if lifebonding friendship works, then with a high charisma (I can reach 36 with only 16 base charisma) I can pass on decent teamwork feats and allow the summons to take a huge amount of extra hits before dying. And with a level 20 skald, easily apply a very powerful buff and haste on all of them also.
This interaction is great for all party members using abilities and will allow infinite spells up to level 7. If you had bonded object on an azata devil, you wouldnt get infinite level 7 spells, but you already get hellfire and dominate monster, and your decrees would be completely unlimited. For inevitable excess, you would get infinite rages and swords of heaven also, in addition to overwhelming presence.
I havent actually tried playing the build as a summoner yet, because frankly, its extremely good as a melee fighter and buffing the party anyway, but I imagine it would work pretty well.

this should be a popular one! Owlcat needs to add a Bro button, every time someone starts a new save with a Bro Build have to click the button. Another solid build and video explaining it.
Such a shame about the mastodons, really fun concept but would be so painful to use. I wonder how it would be if your companions could ride the mastodons, that could get pretty wild.

@@cRPGBro But at 13:46 you say that each level of the summon nature's ally ability replaces the one before it. So at levels 11 and 12 you'd have summon nature's ally 6 instead of 5 or 7. And SNA 6 doesn't summon leopards, it summons 1 smilodon or multiple manticores/boars.
@@daniellehohensee2021 That is correct, so in a way you'd kinda have to make do with multiple Boars or just take the one Smilodon for that time because at least it's 5+ attacks in one summon!

I like having the pet for free and easier access to sharing teamwork feats, but the Azata Treants are really good!
Almost at the end of my azata dirge bard support run. I'm conflicted about trying something new this far in, but this looks like too much fun to pass up on.😅

In the first dungeon you can send Anevia ahead by standing with your back to the enemies (which has no negative effect).
Can't you do the same with summons? Should work the same, right?
I’m doing a brown fur 9 ek 10 and 1 more high bab class. From what I’ve been testing, I’ll have 4 attacks, I also get the summon spells as an Arcanist I think, and I’ll be able to turn them into dragons and stuff like that. Is this build viable? Kinda sacrifices the bard spell buffs for brown fur and up to 9th level spells.
Can you make kineticist work with azata ? it's the one class that really interests me and I was wondering if there are mythic abilities that compliment the class.
I ran this build, my issue is the pets just lag so far behind they're not in the battle half the time.
Would it be insane to have both this and a Monster Tactician in the party? Essentially go all out on summons and pets, with a Paladin, Skald, Brown fur transmuter, and a Divine caster? What's the drawback (aside from fights taking 3x longer)?
I dunno if this will get a reply but how do you build your dragon for this build?

For quick slots what about the butterfly book if you can get a couple of the pages it can drastically enhance your summons

Sadly it was bugged for most of my runs and wouldn't upgrade past the first page (Although that was great anyways due to +1 summons per cast).
I donlt know if it was changed or not, but sadly Inspire ferocity doesn't work on other party members. It only hits the summons and the beast tamer.

Is Greenrager any good or do the summons not last long enough to justify the morale boost?
Greenrager has delayed spellcasting progression just like all Bloodrager, and you can at most get the IV summon only which is nowhere near as good as other Summoners.
Also, you only add the summons to your spellbook, unlike Monster Tactician or Beast Tamer, which also have special abilities to summon them at 10x duration.
So... Beast tame or Inquisition for pure summon build ?

I'd say both are around the same, although I prefer the early Bard spells.
Summoners take a while to get good in Wrath, which is why I also try to make the Summoner themselves quite powerful.

I haven't tried a Kinetic Knight before, mostlly because of losing access to the metakinenetic abilities, but I'll see what I can do.

problem is it gets outclassed by the base class using the blade. Another problem is melee like to multiclass and kineticist doesn't really like to. So I think legend KK would be the best way to go if you do. Then prob mut warrior and possible a monk dip+ with a full 20 KK would work well.
but then again I am not as clever in building and this is what I have read which is now outdated. So there might be a better way. Kineticist is by far my fav class and a big reason I will be hooked on PF so I am def intrigued by this subclass
Honestly, the best kinetic knight is the base kineticist. With high dexterity and water shield, you can achieve superior AC than with heavy armour. Also, the loss of gather power and metakinesis is really crippling. Gather power with metakinesis means that the base kineticist is far better with kinetic whirlwind as soon as its available, and metakinetic mastery with empower means you get 50% extra damage on all kinetic blade attacks over the kinetic knight at level 19.
Unfortunately, kinetic knights are clearly worse at the thing they supposedly specialise in than the base class, and give up a staggering amount of power and utility. They aren't the worst class in the game by dint of the power of kineticists, but they are the largest downgrade over the base class of any archetype imo. To be even worth considering, they should have an extra 50% kinetic blade damage baked in and have full rather than medium BAB progression.
The 1 burn reduction is of very little use in practice, as gather power on kinetic blade is only a problem when you get do more than 1 attack a round. You have to be at least level 5 to get haste, and level 8 before you get a 2nd base attack. You get infusion specialisation to reduce it to zero burn cost at level 5.
What about add 1 lvl of "Crossblooded" for dragon bloodlines (blue and bronze + "Stormlord's Resolve" bracers) and 3 lvls of "Loremaster" - this can add additional magical damage and 2 extra fighter+rogue fits (without prerequisites) or spells (like "chain lightning" and "hellfire rey")?
I'm surprised youy did not take Seize the moment. With all those pets that make for a huge amount of attack of opportunities ?
I believe Seize will NOT stack with Outflank, which is why I didn't pick it.
@@cRPGBro Oh, ok. Hard to see an advantage to seize the moment then. Or maybe it is for ranged attacker : a range who touch an ennemy that is threatened by a melee, the melee will be allowed an attack of opportunity. Is that its goal ?
