Acura Legend E55 W211 NA Miata WRX swapped 2.5RS Legacy GTB Baja Sport These are just a few of the ones I’ve owned, I’m on track to jump up a notch here in the next year or two. Work smarter not harder.
The best cars I’ve ever owned are all on this list. 2004 C5 Corvette, 1998 Lexus GS400, and the 95 LS400. I can also confirm that an LS with over 280,000 can still hit 155mph with no issues (without even using PWR mode lol)
My 00 ls400 317k mph, I don't think it lost any noticeable power lol . First car I owned that governor wasn't at 120. Needed a lot of repairs but for 3k, I like it
E60 535s are wicked. Picked one up for $5k a couple years ago and got 80hp and 130tq with a $200 tune. Not terribly expensive to own if you repair/maintain yourself
The 2011 V6 Mustang was a classic and with 310 hp stock and I am not sure if the limiter, there is a lot left in high gear. Put a ProCharger on it and it is fast. The 3.7L V6 can handle a lot of abuse.
@Lalo Ok yeah I heard somewhere that the stock driveshaft in the older (more modern) (early to mid 2000s) v6 mustangs where made for fuel efficiency or something like that so it wasn’t made for going fast for long periods of time. So if you want to bypass the governor and go over 120 you have to get a aftermarket drive shaft or that shit will explode. I’ve seen videos of it. It’s honestly scary
Mustangs are always a great choice! They aren’t bad cars, they just have bad drivers lol. Honestly shoot for a new edge 99-04 or the gen after 05-09 and it should be under 10k depending on condition with them. With some work both generations can become monsters! They both can have similar results after being worked on speed wise, I’d honestly just choose the one you like the look of most, personally I prefer the 99-04 with a cobra bumper on them!
C5 is BY FAR the best car on this list. Most powerful, best handling, most reliable, most performance potential through mods, and the best looking. You can't go wrong with a C5. I've owned 2 so far and I'll be buying another one soon.
The only Corvette I ever drove was a three year old 99. Most responsive car I ever drove. Steering, brakes, acceleration. I didn't want to give it back.
I put 156,000 miles on a CLK 500 cabriolet. It was a fantastic car. The only issue I has was the front driver seat where my butt sat absolutely wore out. I think a lot of that was because I left the convertible top down in front of the house a lot in the Texas Sun. I would 100% recommend getting one.
Toyota Celica GT-S 00'-05' Extremely reliable and fun. Does 160. Just bought one last month as a daily, the speedometer is hilarious because it barely moves going legal speeds.
A Saturn Ion Redline ordered with GM's "Stage1" performance upgrade would hit 150, since bone stock they could already get to 145 (as tested by C&D). A factory Stage 2 would get you good and over 150. This was also available for the Cobalt SS to get similar performance numbers out of it as well. I've seen Ion Redlines as low as $3000 and these days you can simply buy the Stage 1 and Stage 2 kits to install yourself. There's also the Volvo 850 T5R and 850R. Both will get you to 155 but will set you back at least $10k I did notice a lack of roadsters outside of the Boxter, so the Mercedes Benz R129 SL500 roadster fits the bill. I've seen them for as low as $3000 with mechanical issues to $10k and beyond in relatively good shape.
The highest I pushed my 93 Acura Integra was about 121 mph...I don't know if it'll go faster but I didn't want to push it further. Faster little car she is.
Mazdaspeed 6 155 ! In a turbo 4 cylinder! The gentleman’s agreement for top speed!! Saddest thing 12 cylinder BMW only goes 155 governed ! HHRSS = hearse!! Lol
2006 to 2010 Sonata 3.3 v6 tops 152 mph. Look up V33 Sonata on youtube. 0 to 60 mph 6.2 seconds for my 2009 ,249 hp 3.3 v6 stock 14.79 quarter mile at 98.8 mph. 9.6 eighth mile at 79 mph stock with Goodyear Eagle tires great sleepers hung door handle to door handle against my co workers 2007 impala SS V8 up to 80 mph! Finding one in good condition for 9,999 good like I got 2007 convertible flawless condition from Nissan dealer one owner older lady garage keep look like she never drove or sat in 67,000 miles they wanted 15,200 I got it for 13,600 value are going up on them
The CLK550 is alright, but the engine is iffy, get the CLK55, they're more reliable than the 550s, the engines are hand built at AMG, and... the TORQUE, trust me, get a 55
I made a guy cry in a tuned 350Z in my SLK55 AMG going up a mountain road. Every passing lane I let him get to my rear bumper then pulled him by many car lengths before it went single lane again. And going to Vegas it went 150 but was chipped to do no more
Car UA-camrs ruined prices for these cars. Most cars on this list used cost half of what people asking for them now. Used to be able to get something decent for $5-6k,those days are gone.
Ladies and Gents these cars that can go over 150mph are only for the track. We don’t want an rs6 situation on a Mexican street near you. Be safe, think wisely, calculate.
Bro I hate to say it but you forgot one specific vehicle that is the cheapest out of all those that can go over 200 you forgot to mention a Honda Civic hatchback
You muricans have them cheap. In my country.. A 95 civic costs a lot but to people who dont know car culture they will think it is a cheap old junkyard car.
FCP EURO BOYSSSS lifetime warrenty on parts best feeling ever when you need a new one😭9:26 also if you know how to wretch and got money and want a euro twin turbo’d car that shoots up 420whp on stage 2+ and 450 on wtq just get the 335i or 535i better then wasting 1k on a tune for a z or an extra 20k for the newer turbo’d cars when you can just maintain these and bolt on even before hitting half of what a q50/q60 would cost or 340i
I remember the first time I went over a hundred mph in a car. It was a b13 Sentra, not even the SER, and I became a car guy immediately. Great memories.
As a former owner of a Volvo S60-R, I can confirm that the boxy Swede is fast…very fast!! I would also add a Jaguar XKR / XJR to the list. There are thousands of examples under $10k now. Lastly, the fourth generation Acura TL (2009->2014) can also hit a buck fifty.
I still remember how sad I felt after I pushed my LS460 and the limiter stopped it at 130mph. I was like you mean to tell me I gave away my faster previous LS to my daughter? Sure I can beat her to 60mph but she can run me down and pass me cause I’ve pushed the older versions past 150mph. I’ve heard the LS460 can push 170mph without the limiter.
My first car was a Passat W8 wagon that I picked up for what was about $1000usd ($1500nzd). The ungoverned top speed on these cars is about 175ish mph. I never got close to that during my ownership but it was cool to know nonetheless. Now I own the more mainstream 1.8 t in a b6 a4. I reckon the W8 or even R36 could’ve made this list. Both can be easily found for under 10k (even in New Zealand dollars)
You guys really need to start adding the forgotten MB cars to lists like this. Cars like the W210 AND W208 CLK55 and E55 AMG can hit 155mph with a limiter and 0-60 in under 5 seconds. Not to mention they are very reliable with examples well over 150-200k running just fine. They are also pretty cheap to maintain and the engine and tranny are bulletproof. I know because I own the CLK55 with over 150k miles. Also, the C55 is another great reliable AMG.
@@Der_Ranged07 username says it all. Mercedes quality nosedived with the round headlight generation. Degradable wiring looms, degraded, electric faults, air suspension faults, the 2007 to 2014 Class was the only decent one before they got stupidly complex
My first car a 97 civic ex coupe did 120 mph. Couple years later upgraded to a 06 infinity g35 coupe done 135 in that current DD. Great fun looking at mods soon.
I'll summarize this list for y'all. Pretty much everything is $9999 for a crap broken one. More accurate title would be under 15k. Cus get this, when I hear under 10k, I expect a decent one for 8k
Which one, people underpriced g37/370 for some reason. Easily 10k to 28k depending on whatever model. G35/350 stay clapped out and worth less than 6000
The Jaguar XK and XKR should also be on this list. They can be found for under 10K and can go well over 150mph. They also sound amazing with an exhaust.
The higher the top speed, the better it handles at highway speeds. If your car can go 200, then 70 will be a comfortable cruise. If your car's top speed is 110, then 70 is gonna be noisy and just not fun. That being said, my 96 Buick Roadmaster sedan has a 120 mph speedometer. I've had it over 100 on the highway and it wasn't even trying. I love my land yacht
You're mixing things up with the 300ZX headlights. They were not from the Diablo, it's the other way round. Lamborghini had to use the headlights from the 300ZX when they could no longer use pop up headlights for the Diablo. Nissan had their name on the headlights, so Lamborghini had to use carbon fibre to cover it.
Your wrong with the headlights the lamb. Diablo was the one using nissan headlights and if you do the search you'll find a video showing it the nissan logo on the headlights
First few are still piles of junk that can barely pass a junkyard. Most of your 300c clips were v6 cars. The genny coupe is too high when you can spend the same amount or less on a 5.0 r spec sedan with 430hp or even get a hyundai equus with the same 5.0 engine and still hit 150mph with massaging air cooled seats.
My 2013 G37X was software limited to 147 MPH, which I verified the first night I owned it. Haven't tested it since adding a Stillen SC but it's now limited to 202 so I'm confident with 405 whp it will break 150.
I will pick the C5 instead of those subaru wrx, I am a BIG fan of subaru back in 20 years ago, and all 5 subaru(s) in my whole family get a new head gasket once at least.
My uncle has a bmw m5 e60 3.0l twin sequential turbo diesel with an ecu tune pushing 340 hp and 700 nm of torque and got a top speed of 260 km/h (or 161 mph)

Not to mention they are very reliable with examples well over 150-200k running just fine. They are also pretty cheap to maintain and the engine and tranny are bulletproof. I know because I own the CLK55 with over 150k miles. Also, the C55 is another great reliable AMG.
Even the 4 cylinder kompressor (w202 ,w203) can hit 160 with a tiny bit of mods, if any.
those Mercs are NOT reliable, or in any way cheap to run...they seré cheap, for a reason
@@Al_is_XXXstop the cap u don't know what you're talking about lol
Dm ☝️For 🎁
You can find these cars for less than the list is telling you, however, they are going to be clapped out😂😂😂 especially the infiniti lol
Underrated car
You're mixing things up with the 300ZX headlights. They were not from the Diablo, it's the other way round. Lamborghini had to use the headlights from the 300ZX when they could no longer use pop up headlights for the Diablo. Nissan had their name on the headlights, so Lamborghini had to use carbon fibre to cover it.
Your wrong with the headlights the lamb. Diablo was the one using nissan headlights and if you do the search you'll find a video showing it the nissan logo on the headlights
Forgot the Mercedes S class from early 2000’s you can find those cheap and if turbo charged can produce somewhere around 650 horsepower
buy a $500 4th gen Camaro, get $200 junkyard LS, cam and springs, Ebay turbo, go 250mph on less than $3000
I watched it all and it is best vid
First few are still piles of junk that can barely pass a junkyard. Most of your 300c clips were v6 cars. The genny coupe is too high when you can spend the same amount or less on a 5.0 r spec sedan with 430hp or even get a hyundai equus with the same 5.0 engine and still hit 150mph with massaging air cooled seats.
My mazdaspeed3 went over 150mph. Bolt-ons, tune, stock turbo!!!!
I miss it!!!!
My Mazdaspeed6 easily hits 155...been there doing that still...love it!!!!
My 2013 G37X was software limited to 147 MPH, which I verified the first night I owned it. Haven't tested it since adding a Stillen SC but it's now limited to 202 so I'm confident with 405 whp it will break 150.
How u like it so far? I'm also gonna get a 13' g37x
@@revenant_renesis6439 I've had it for years. Great car. Even better with +50% power, exhaust, suspension, and brakes.
405 will definitely get it done as long as you have enough gear. My 300whp Subaru could do that, pretty sure that’s the limit for that car.
@@woohunter1 Did a Racebox verified 157 with ease. She had plenty left, I just had to back out of it for traffic.
I will pick the C5 instead of those subaru wrx, I am a BIG fan of subaru back in 20 years ago, and all 5 subaru(s) in my whole family get a new head gasket once at least.
Can you do most reliable German luxury cars
damn i watch this twice. great video
2011 to 2014 sonata turbo and same years Kia optima turbo 274 HP + top 150 mph too. Invisible to cops?
My uncle has a bmw m5 e60 3.0l twin sequential turbo diesel with an ecu tune pushing 340 hp and 700 nm of torque and got a top speed of 260 km/h (or 161 mph)
now i dont know about yall but something looks a little off with that Hyundai 8:44
I have driven all gens of the Boxster and have loved each of them! Great call on the Focus!
