Can You Drive On Stone Wheels?

- I made tires out of stone and put them on a car. But will they work? I also made concrete tires and asphalt tires to see how those did.

You’re a visionary
🫡
Didn’t dinosaurs do that in some cartoon and that was the reason they went extinct?
kinky!
I know I’ve seen that too, but I can’t remember what cartoon it was. I remember the road popped at one point.

If you were inspired by The Flintstones to make stone wheels, try to make a car that you can accelerate by using your feet.
Hear me out
Bicycle cars 🤫
@@The.171Do you mean a car with bicycle wheels or a car with bicycles for wheels?
@@FlyingPenguin3000 a car that you can pedal to start up
You already accelerate by using your feet
They used a Pinto, that’s pretty much Stone Age performance.
I was at work at Lowe's when I saw you guys getting that stone. I was wondering what you would do with those stones. Well, now I know what you did.
Uunga bunga.
It's true I was the stone.

I can't believe the limestone held together. Try again with marble and make them thicker!
that sounds expensive

Or pegmatite granite.
@@jasonsummit1885 granite would actually be really bad. tons of voids for cracks to propagate through. quartzite might be good.
"we need to switch that one out so we don't damage the road" bit late bud, this was such a fun video to watch, your nuts
"You're nuts", but at least you got that last comma!
Great example of why grammar and punctuation matter 😂
🤨someguy8443 you're out of jurisdiction officer.
The Chrisfix impersonation was pretty damn good.
Yea😂
America's garage54 lol
i thought it was a garage54 vid when i saw the thumbnail and title.
😂
Def thought it was garage54 when I clicked
I would not be opposed to that.
This is definitely some Garage 54 level of shenanigan, except they aren't using a feeeeelthy Soviet era Tata.....they're using its feeeeeeelthy Capitalist Nixon era counterpart, the Ford Pinto!
Ok, next time, make a proper concrete wheel set, all 4, balance them perfectly, watercut them properly into a round shape and use those... And add more armature just for safety... With them balanced well, you are likely to overdo it, so it`s better that they be reinforced af... I would also consider adding some abrasive grit into the concrete, mix in some of the used up granite... It ought to add some friction to the ``wheel``...
zamn you put them to work full time
Yes
asking for anything from these guy is like monkey's pawn
You guys not know the shovel trick?
You take a regular shovel and place the blade of it flat against the ground and slide it under the wheel. Now push the handle down and it will hike the wheel up enough to stick it on the hib.
Yeah I was gonna say, 35" truck wheel/tire combos are often pushing 100 lbs.
They didn't know the shovel trick
Forget the stone wheels where did you get that sweet Pinto 😎
The pinto was DESIGNED to have stone wheels, it was born for the stone.
@@mrbiglarge8820its also very likly to be on fire
So that makes the tires Firestone tires
As you were fitting the concrete tire on the car I was thinking... "man I wonder how that would perform doing a burnout."
Thank you
6:16 I was thinking he does a great Chris Fix impression but then I realized maybe he actually is Chris Fix? 😮

Finally, I feel represented in your video. Thank you! And I approve!

Like GarbageTime….
The QPR mix you used is not asphalt, it's cold patch. It's not made with tar which asphalt is, it's made with latex to remain flexible.
Flintstones, meet the Flintstones! They're a modern stoneage family!
That has to be one of the Daftest ideas on the UA-cam... hahahaha Brilliant😂
Daftest, but brilliant really. But it'll be a very bad idea on non concrete road.
I would like to see a Waterjet Channel "Alright" supercut one day
Love it. Peak chaos. I vote revisit this with all concrete tires
I thought asphalt wheels was a dumb ideia at the beginning, but in the end I realized it was planned 😂😂😂
First channel I've seen actually using steel mesh for concrete gimmicks! KUDOS!
Dude, I gotta thank you from saving me from a sleepless night.
I fell asleep within the first 5 minutes of this video
Glad I could help
Remember the carbon fiber wheels? " Careful... careful... *CAR FALLS OFF JACK*"
One of these wheels (not going to spoiler which one) is a solid, all most an concrete idea and I hope it cements it self as a revolutionary idea of the future
I haven't clicked on a waterjet channel vid in a while and the fact that i clicked on this one for the title 🤝

Concrete wheel is basically a tracker with chalk on the back 😂
That was more entertaining than I expected.
Wow was not expecting them to do so well lol You're crazy dude
I found this way too entertaining!!
This is the best video I have seen all month😂
Using a Ford Pinto as a test platform for sketchy modifications is unhinged and i love it lol
This reminded me of an episode of Darkwing Duck. They went to the past, and the Dinos had cars with stone wheels, while the roads were made of rubber and inflated. And There Buildings moved up and down instead of the elevator.
Return to form great video
Ayo I like your content, that's why I'm telling you that I'm subscribed and did not get any notifications that you posted, idk if this happened to anyone else ❤
Some true rock'n'roll
Enormously satisfying on some deep emotional level
Reminds me of when Mythbusters tested using logs to make wheels, which actually worked if careful, and worked even better on dirt roads.
I could see the concrete version working well in some hypothetical apocalypse type scenario.
Should’ve collaborated with primitive technology
He can make almost anything out of stones
I can't believe you did a burnout with concrete tires lmfao
I didn't think you had the stones to do that!
Just like the good ol’ days in 10000 B.C.E

"thats four more times for the audience that uses metric" xDD bruh hahah
You are a very brave man for driving a Pinto in reverse
Asphalt takes a long time to properly dry. If you waited, i think it would have been fine
Concrete is good in compression so im not surprised it survived
Doing this in the most explosive car in history is wild
Those mountains are breathtaking. Always wanted to visit utah
This is why the wheel business did well in Fred Flintstones era.
stone, but with tread
I mainly came here for the pinto amd now im subscribed
