Hi doesn’t the bucket seats move back when you turn off the ignition? Maybe you should buy my mk8 golf gti lol, they then move forward when you put ignition back on
loved my m3 xdrive. for me, this car and the porsche turbo or 4 gts would be the perfect daily/if you could only have one car. but its prob be the m3 bc of the back seats and more cargo space. And the m5 cs and rs6's are a bit too big for my taste. I ending up selling the m3 because I wanted something a bit faster out of the box as Im reluctant to tune my dailies for warranty reasons. as a weekender, I'd pick (and did pick) the g87 m2. stage 2 of course... stock its the same hp as the base m3/m4 (bmw lied about it being de tuned) but the m2 is a bit more nimble than its bigger brothers.
I find it ridiculous that some people buy a performance car, yet complain about the mpg 🤦🏻 I’ve just gone from having a pre facelift 2003 330 m sport convertible manual to a 2011 330 m sport auto coupe, I don’t even get 20mpg, but then I don’t buy these type of cars and wonder, oooh, I wonder how economical it’s gonna be 😂
It is a factor though? I’m in an m2 comp currently, and whilst I’m not expecting 40 mpg, I can live with the 30mpg I can get if I need to on a cruise down the motorway. For my next I want a g80 m3. Not a used m5 as the v8 is too much of a guzzler. Efficiency matters even when buying a performance car!

1. That plastic piece isn’t from BMW unless that is a UK thing or you have it used. 2. I definitely agree the app thing is beyond stupid and needs reworking, they need a UX Designer to organize everything. 3. The G80 looks aggressive and honestly it will hold its weight way better than BMW’s next gen because honestly I don’t known what they are doing with these new generations as their designer needs to go back to art school. And sadly the exhaust is toned down bc of the stupid regulations. (As if Electric doesn’t do more damage!! 🙄) But I will say get rid of the 1st and 2nd cats and keep the 3rd on and its a different animal lol
I'm thinking about getting the M3. For security sake, can the cameras be set up to record anyone trying to mess with the car? Is it similar to what Tesla has?
Did you rev it in Eco mode? Seriously, Sport Plus sounds much better in real life than this. Fuel economy - this might be your mods but on longer trips it's not that difficult to get 33 mpg.. Plus 30 mpg is really not bad for any sports car, I was getting similar values in 2.0 TFSI :) Otherwise completely agree G8x is ultimate daily, though to me G82 over G80 for the more unique looks.
Oh you can get into the electronics and have your way with that car. Dial it in to exactly the way you want it. The buckets blow! My back doesn’t fit and after an hour I can’t wait to get out. They’re awful for me, but they’re so cool I deal with it 😂😂😂😂
Your expectations are low buddy… I own a 2024 m4 comp a 2018 f90 comp both tuned a e93 2013 m3 and a e36 1998 m3 and I prefer the e36 and e93 over both the new ones… the new ones are obviously way more capable, but to put a sheer smile on your face sorry they just don’t! So no they absolutely do almost everything but not quite !
Sounds like you got a nice garage of cars . I havent had m/// cars like you but I have had bmws the last 15 years . 03 E46 325xi, 86 e28 535i, 15 f30 320i, 18 f30 320i , and now a 24 g80 m3(all manuals) . The old school feeling isn’t there but for modern standards . I don’t know if it gets much better for a 4 door sedan. I wish I was working during the mid 80s and early 90s . E30 m3s,e28 m5 , e36 m3, e39 m5, and e46 m3 were the best years for bmw no doubt. Unfortunately I didn’t turn 16 till 2006 . So you are stuck with what is available . All those cars are outrageously priced for being 20-40 years of age . Getting a sweet manual in 2024…. I’m grateful .Think of the kids of today sports car will be hybrids with no manuals . Driving around making bee noises . I agree with this guys perspective, we weren’t exposed to those great cars like you were .
Those carbon seats are definitely not suited for daily use . I’ve experienced them for 6 months & it was enough for me plus the the g80 m3 has very fussy styling & tbh it’s a dog dinner

How’s it handle in the snow? Also, those seats are great for anyone under 80 kilograms. Over that….those seats are ridiculously uncomfortable

Unfortunately not bud, but I'm sure BMW can supply & install a smart dash cam kit which can do similar.

I just got the new 2025 BMW M4 Competition X Drive last week, and it’s amazing! BMW have added 20 hp from the 2024 version.
They just changed the sticker to be a bit closer to what those engines really make out of the factory :)
