Jon Culshaw - Parkinson interview

- 'Dead Ringers' impressionist Jon Culshaw making (I believe to be) his first appearance on the BBC Parkinson talk show in the early 2000's. Featured impressions include: Frank Bruno, Patrick Moore, Russel Crowe and Steve Irwin
Oh man i love John Culshaw!
Just heard of this guy now. Too often I am disappointed by impressionists but this guy is extremely talented and has all the nuances down.
Jon Culshaw it's should be Sir Jon Culshaw he is fantastic I can not stop laughing when he is on television,
Eamonn Holmes sitting there and he didn't eat the other guest or anything
Martin Jowsey Sour grapes...?😊
@@andrewkennaugh1065 ?
@@andrewkennaugh1065 I'm sure he'd eat those as well!
yes as he is not a cannibal.
@@Darren68a are you sure about that?
eamon holmes nearly sued jon because of the way he was portrayed
I seemed to remember something like that happening and I thought it was just me , but when John first came on at the beginning of this clip Eamon made some barbed comment and now that makes sense !
Good at some mediocre at others sounds just like Jon Culshaw most of the time
Sir Patrick Moore was such a good sport!
Eamonn laughing it up until Culshaw did him and he found it so funny he got the lawyers in
Patrick Moore was genius
When Jon Culshaw talks it feels like he's doing an impression of Jon Culshaw
The word genius is overused sometimes, but Culshaw is a 100% genuine genius. His speed of thought is frightening
The word is indeed overused by people like you
I would tell you to youtube frank caliendo but you might have a cardiac arrest
@@adamglasgow9268 Just did, not quite as good, still brilliant
@@adamglasgow9268 I always thought Frank Gorshin was a great impressionist. His facial expressions of Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas were very good without him uttering a word. He played the part of the 'Riddler' in the 1960s Batman TV series.
Sitting him next to Eamonn Holmes 🤣
The Ian Hislop impression at 2:50 was freaking terrifying. It came out of nowhere and was spot on!
'claims direct' send-up sketch at the beginning was FCUKING HILARIOUS!
Eamons foot movements show his total disdain for Culshaw.
I can't be the only one who was hoping he would do an impression of Parkinson, like he did on dead ringers
Parkinson really was the king of chat shows. Such a classy man and amazing with his guests.
None better!
Eammon Holmes was apparently going to sue The Impressions Show because it always targeted his weight
Well he's got a point!!!
@@takeiteasy6154It is comedy!
No other impressionist can touch him for utter brilliance.
He's too much! I can't believe that I learned of his existence less than four months ago. He's absolutely brilliant and his talents transcend just doing impressions. I feel privileged to live in the time of Jon Culshaw.
brilliant impressionist does a great tom baker and ossy osborne,
The Chris Eubank impression was brilliant.
This is pure genius comedy. Love Frank Bruno. Frank Bruno is great in real life. Keep strong Frank every body loves you.
His Frank Bruno is incredible tbf
as often as I've watched this the two Patrick Moore's bickering make me cry laughing EVERY time 🤣🤣🤣🤣💕✌
He s so talented and so modest with it.The best at what he does
Him and Patrick moore arguing oh my god I almost cried! ahahaha
Along with Noel Edmunds and Paul O Grady, Eammon Holmes is possibly the most insincere and nauseating phoney I have ever had the misfotune of laying my eyes on albeit for only as long as it takes me to turn the tele over.
Does your telly still work upside down?
@@davidcopson5800 I liked that, Dave.
Paul O’Grady? Got to disagree with you there chief. I don’t think he’s phoney at all. He seems a genuine, kind hearted soul. Though you won’t get any argument from me on Holmes and Edmonds. Especially Edmonds. What an absolute cock he is.
He's the best in the world at his job....tho his real voice goes through me a bit, he's a bit too showbiz!!
I'm really surprised Jon Culshaw didn't do his famous Eamonn Holmes impression during the interview, since he was actually sitting next to the man himself. Culshaw does a brilliant take-off of him.
Eamon Holmes sued jon Culshaw after Holmes saw a sketch tgst Culshaw did about eating, the Holmes line in the sketch is am hungry so i am. And Holmes consulted his lawyers
@@markdaly1648 It sounds like Eamonn Holmes has had his sense of humour surgically removed. What an arse!
@ 5:08 - Patrick Moore was lovely man - I still miss him on The Sky At Night.
Jon's impression of Patrick was spot on. It always makes me smile when Jon guests occasionally on The Sky At Night and does it on there.
No other word ........ brilliant.
The interview with Sir Patrick had me in fits of laughter. Thought provoking about the story where Culshaw phoned no. 10 pretending to be William Hague, not expecting to get through, but then surprisingly got through. Kind of mirrors the prank call the Australian radio presenters made to the hospital, pretending to be the royal family, also not expecting to get through, but got through. Both prank calls were meant as harmless jokes. One resulted in hilarity, the other tragedy.
I think Jon is a brilliant vocal impressionist and also a body linguistic genius.
Noice when he did the great Steve Irwin, his whole face suddenly became that very person. Amazing. 😀
Rolf seems less funny now, I wonder why?
That was wonderful.....whats happened to our Saturday night tv entertainment....we need more stuff like this back.....
Eamon Holmes is creepy - why on earth would anyone be interested in what he has to say on a talkshow?
Not since Mike Yarwood, have we seen such an almost perfect skit of the current crop of celebrities. (hate that word),
His Frank Bruno is second to none, brilliant.
YEAH SUPER
Overrated.
His only good impression is Frank brunos laugh.
@@TheJamie6666 Balls.
I know what you mean.
I used to prank call investment firms on 0800 numbers back in the early 90s doing my impression of Billy Connelly,, 😂😂😂 I'm glad I wasn't the only one ❤️👍
Imagine having him at your fucking dinner party..
He is the best,bar none!
I bet the Rolf Harris impression has been quietly dropped from his routine
😂😂😂
The Patrick Moore impression was awesome 😂
dale winton was fuckin spot on haahah
Yeah that Rolf Harris impression was dropped from the act quick sharp I bet 😂
culshaw is brilliant, a great inspiration for me
Brilliant interview (well it's Parki' so of course) and brilliant Culshaw - what a truly fabulous and spontaneous entertainer !
RIP Patrick moore
I loved the Tom Baker bits he did with the real Tom Baker!
Absolutely brilliant.
8:10 that emphatic hand gesture was on point !🤛🏼
Man...Culshaw is on a whole different level to other impressionists. His Steve Urwin and John Peel are spooky accurate. His range is totally unbelievable. Easily easily the best impressionist. Lennox Lewis...who else does Lennox Lewis!!
What a nice bloke, very talented empresionist,
How refreshing to see tracking lines on this video,, God rest VHS video tapes 👍
That Russell Crowe impersonation sounds just like Alan Johnson from Peep Show.
I bet that Rolf Harris impression will be permanently on the back burner from now on...
yeah, he'd probably get in real trouble for impersonating him.
I'm surprised this video hasn't been removed by UA-cam because it contains a Rolf reference. Loads of Savile related videos have been removed, particularly the Louis Theroux interview documentary. Ridiculous really because people need to see how he duped an entire nation and learn from that rather than it being swept under the carpet out of fear.
@@TheGrumpyGuide Well its still on. And you can still see Saville's involvement in Peter Kay's Amarillo Vid.
Why?
Why?
To be fair Aammon had arthritis in both hips that's probably why he kept moving his legs . Had two hip replacements now . I like the bloke .
He is the master of impersonation.
Jon is a genius
Great fun and Jon Culshaw seems to be enjoying himself as much as everyone else!
When this clip came on, and i heard Michaels voice & i thought i'll make a cup of tea
Excellent, and I love it that Jon Culshaw recognises the great Mike Yarwood as his inspiration. Of cause Mike could sing in character as well, not sure I've ever seen Jon do that.
Sadly Mike wasn't very good, but he was the only one doing impressions in the 70s.
@ifyouwantbochin Mmm, I think I may have made a mistake in the description tbh. I can't be sure, but this may indeed be his first Parkinson interview so I'll update the info :-]
There are not enough superlatives to describe how talented Jon Culshaw is.
Patrick Moore owned him
Rolf would've loved to have entered the (young Anthea) Turner.
holmes is in love with himself
he always is. Ate himself after loving himself so much and that's why he looks as he does.
No idea how he does this. What a talented guy...
Eamon holmes is always boring. He doesn't understand why impressions are funny.
I get the feeling that he's doing a character when he's supposed to be speaking as himself
Eamonn wasn't too keen on Deadringers portraying him as a greedy guts eating everything in sight. I'm pretty sure that he got the episodes pulled.
Parky really loves his interviews love to read his biography
I reckon this dude could be an amazing joker if given the chance...
before rolf was outed
That must have been one of Patrick Moore's final appearances in a proper TV studio, as his later Sky At Nights were made at his home.
Eamonn appears to be sitting still but his arsehole is actually chewing on the seat...the man cannot stop eating...someone please help him
BON3SHAK3R 😂😂😂😂
John culsaw can do u Matt man munrow singing And you smiled the theme music called eye level
Tom Baker is his best
RIP Dale WInton
...the well inserted (fnarr, fnarr!) Frank Bruno impression was a gem!
Lol!! Hadn't heard about that before ... I guess the reason why he didn't sue was due to the simple truth that he IS fat?! :D
Eamon holmes is most famous for getting upset with John for doing an impression of him lol
Wow these are spot on. The Ian Hislop is brilliant
I miss Patrick Moore
Get a telescopic sight.
Haha recorded on vhs
Found him overrated but his Les Dawson was really on point got sick of the Crowe/Blair/Bush jargon thought McGowan and Serafinowicz were far more talented impressionists
Watch Danny Posthill he is up and coming brillant
who was waiting for him to do Parky?
Mr. Culshaw always puts a smile on my face.
Why does his Frank Bruno sound like Dracula, mainly the laugh!
Haha his Obi-wan Kenobi impression is friggin awesome!
Amazing talent
Mike Yarwood was better at Sir Patrick Moore
Jon said he wasn't going to sue him, but just got his lawyers to get the impression stopped. But Jon could just be being kind.
LOL!!!!!
Brilliant Steve Irwin haha
Simply the best
John Culshaw sounds exactly like ...John Culshaw. Every single impression.
Eamon Holmes is sitting here next to John, wondering who this guy is, could it be himself? No, it might be err...Parkinson? No, it must have been, Patrick Moore....err, no it must be
Fantastic, possible best in the world but going back a few years and nothing touches Frank Gorshin { Riddler from TV batman } his Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas are out of this world
