Wonderful breed. Can't really express how watching them makes me feel! I have a Deerhound lurcher, called Setanta. Best dog I ever met! I laughed a lot at 0:45. Naughtiest pups ever!!
I have a 9 month old bitch I didnt know what breed she was until I took her to the vet found her walking down the road no one claimed her so I did ..I love her and my staffy ..she is such a cheeky baby ..always up to no good...and I live in a flat in Australia
@@lgempet2869 I adopted my dog about 6 years ago, he's now 8. His paperwork said he was an Irish Wolfhound mix. But after watching this video, I'm thinking he may be a Scottish Deerhound mix... Who knows. 😉
My female deerhound lived to age 11 which I thought was pretty good. She had a long, healthy life on a raw diet & immaculate teeth! The most perfect dog in the world....completely inconsolable for a really long time & still grieve her years later, but cherish the time we had.

they used a deerhound for Sirius Black in dog form in Harry Potter
Actually they were an ancient British breed but supplanted by hunting dogs bought in by the Normans.
We had a DH X lurcher. Lovely dog but they are short lived sadly.
Southmead Lad .....we just lost our deerhound at 13.5 years old. Depends on the line you buy.

@@lgempet2869 We found another lurcher within 9 months. Absolutely lovely boy. Loves everyone. So friendly. About half size of our SDHx.
