I never get tired of this video. Richmond looks like a real bus station, 18 gates. The one in DC moved into the train station, it only has 8 gates and a very small ticket building, no seats or nothin. Passengers have to wait out in the cold for their bus. I must say again that you did a wonderful job on this video. Would be nice to see you film more stations. I'm a greyhound/bus fan also.
Richmong is one of my favorite Greyhound stations. This one has a big Maintainence Center beside it. Most of the buses are D and X units, very few falling apart G4500s like in Los Angeles or Seattle. Nice vid.
Did you ever see the old greyhound station on Broad Street? I passed through there as a child, vaguely remember the street front looked rather small but the bus loading area was large.
This is a pretty large terminal for Richmond's size, perhaps because of the great amount of North-South (via I-95) traffic and some East-West (via I-64) traffic...was very busy during my visits.
Wow, I remember around Christmas/New Years in the late 80's just before Greyhound bought out Trailways, I road a then brand new late Harrisburg Trailways Eagle Model 15 -40 footer into this station. We came in on the other side by stopping to register at the dispatch booth, while passing a whole row of other buses parked around the corner on the other side of the station. Also where those cars are at now used to be all buses laying over either for cleaning/maintenance or a trip assignment. Ahhhh, the good old days!
the Greyhound line is no-where near how it used to be back in the 80's and 90's that you are right about and talking about Trailways! are they still around anymore? lol
Yes, Trailways is still around but it was never the same after Greyhound bought out the most profitable and largest Trailways affiliate Continental Trailways. Soon afterwards the smaller members left and went into tour/chartering before they regrouped into what we have to of Trailways National Bus System.
With 18 slips, Richmond's terminal is larger than I expected. But thinking of Greyhound's route system, it makes more sense. A lot of local, regional, and cross-country routes pass through, so it's no wonder the depot is larger than many cities that are larger.
Me and my family rode together on a Greyhound lines inc bus on the MCI MC12 #2255 to Jacksonville FL to switch buses to go to Tallahassee FL to see our great grandmother
We are here in Richmond Bus Station our Bus Time 11/15 pm southbound scaduall. 300 Hundere people weating for Bus. They Don't Have Bus🚴🏾🚴🏾🚴🏾🚴🏾🚴🏾 Very Bad services
Great video; thanks for posting. I'm considering taking a long-distance Greyhound trip with a couple of transfers. I'll need to reach Seattle in time to catch Amtrak. Am wondering whether a buffer of eight hours is enough.
ohh yes...i know that bus station in Atlanta all too well...its right by the marta subway station and you gotta be careful as hell there...i enjoy riding the greyhound, but i like to get out of that Atlanta terminal as quickly as possible...way too crowded in that terminal also..they should consider building a bigger one in a much better part of Atlanta
And on our way back to Atlantic city Municipal bus Terminal at Arctic and Arkansas Avenues mostly MCI MC9 Crusader ii Coaches the bus didn't made it to New York city because of something so we switch buses here in Richmond VA and went to Washington DC on another MCI MC9 buses and that's the least switch after Washington DC bus Terminal
I spend a lot of nights in that rooms for drivers. They look like prison cell,no windows, concrete blocks and bed bugs, that's a worst thing bed bugs. Anyway....Greyhound Sucks.
Awful. Dirty rundown filthy nasty bathroom!!! Main area also filthy. One working urinal, if you consider a urinal draining into a wastebasket working? No toilet without feces everywhere. All soap dispensers ripped off wall. This is worse than anything I’ve ever seen. I wish i had my cellphone camera now!!! Phew Ugh Vomit

Lovely. I travelled from New York to Richmond terminal in April 2017. The memory still lingers on. The Richmond terminal is neat and good.

I was there on a recent trip from Charlotte, NC to Bennington, VT. Pretty busy terminal, even in the middle of the night.
Yeah I know, it's Greyhound's biggest garage. It's capable of complete rebuilds.
