Greyhound Bus Lines: Bus Observations (January 29, 2017) @ Baltimore Terminal

  • Greyhound buses running in-and-out of the Baltimore Terminal in the "SoDo" -ish district of downtown (near Interstate 95). Horseshoe Casino is bustling & thriving and to meet the growing tourist connection, a BRAND NEW facility/terminal was constructed in 2015 and completed in late-2016. A larger, more advance building complex. It's definitely a major improvement from the old terminal.
Various models - from Greyhound and it's affiliates "Peter Pan" and "BoltBus" - ranging from Prevost X3-45s; MCI 102-DL3s, G4500s, D4505s, J4500s... well, I wish could go on but that's usually the norm.

Excellent capture from good and varied standpoints. Well done! Night shots of Greyhound buses are always exciting and conjure visions of mysterious adventure as well as patriotism and I am so glad you included them. I have noticed in recent years that Greyhound is pretty good at employing city destination signs on the coaches in the eastern US, while buses in the west only carry a so-so chance of displaying destination head signs. Once again, good work and thank you!

It's an absolute shame that Greyhound and bus travel in general have gone down the toilet in the last 30yrs.

I agree, as a former Greyhound driver it's sad to see what's happening. Bus travel is not what it use to be, Greyhound stations are being sold off, buses not being taken care, unfortunately its just the sign of times.

I enjoyed the video! Nice passing shots! You evidently did your research as to where to position yourself. I did still photos many years ago using a similar technique (Greyhound and Trailways). Nice and sharp videos, especially the night videos! Some focusing problems, but overall very pleasing! I look forward to more videos in the future.

I had the real-time schedule on my phone so all I had to do was be ready at least five minutes in advance. The other problem was hoping I won't freeze just standing there for at least five minutes if nothing arrived. Some the clips a bus would just sneak upon me.

I've Always Loves Greyhound. Was riding as a kid on summer break from Chicago to Youngstown Ohio. When I started You use to be able to smoke on the rear seats and I Always had to change buses in Cleveland. A two hour layover. That was about 1985-86. It's funny cause two Years ago I had to leave Denver to get to Minneapolis 2 days before the 4th. I'm a truck driver so I had to get outta Denver. Anyway Greyhound charged me $450 for the ticket. Price ridiculous.. and I began My trip on one of their subcontractor s Arrow bus Lines and then Transfered to another contractor Jefferson Lines. Wow

Provost coaches motors are much quieter than the MCI coaches. This explain why the Provost model coaches cost more, better built coaches.

I'm not sure what to tell you guys who are traveling into small cities or leaving out from them.... if the bus station isn't open to pay/get your ticket right there..... ______ I'll let you tell your own story.... but Miller I was told you have no representative at the greyhound bus station Tuesday June 5th, 2018. 10:48am.... this is not the first time greyhound has done this to your name....

Peter Pan Buses are maintain perfectly, you never see a beat up, damage, dirty wheel hub, or missing flap on any Peter Pan coach equipment

    • @Chesterbarnes1
      @Chesterbarnes1 3 роки тому

Every Greyhound that left the station was missing the rear left mud flap. In Canada, Greyhound Maint doesn't do that. They want to protect the public so that flying rocks will not penetrate someone's car or vehicle.

I drove for Greyhound, every last one of those D-Models are falling apart, Their Prevost series numbers below #7000 are very poorly built with all type of problems and have more breakdowns than the D-Model. D-4505s (minus all the electrical issues) were the only buses I can say were a better build. Greyhound buses are running unsafe even the new ones. Maintenance puts them through the wash bay & sends them right back out. They don't do mechanical maintenance event when the drivers tell them theirs a problems with the bus which is 90% of all Greyhound buses. Mechanics will not fix the buses unless they are brought in by a wrecker.

The Neo Classic livery was actually conceptualized with the X3-45 dimensions in mind. That’s why all other coach make and models seem outta place sporting the Neo Classic. The only other coach make and or model that almost if not just as much fits the GH NC livery is the MCI D-4505.

both front and back tires on the passenger/right side were
rubbing against the concrete as she pulled in.... I'm pointing to the concrete..... she did stopped and backed up but back tires stayed against concrete as she napped.... Terre Haute greyhound/Miller don't open until 8:00am the last time.... the other time I went in the bus station in indy to pay.... but she doesn't trust I'll do the same.....
    * All the back sits are dirty
    * another complaint: if you don't print your ticket in advance some of the cashiers will tell you they don't see your itinairary ergo leading to buying a new & more expensive ticket.... (Tuesday, June 5th, 2018, 7:30ish to 8:01am. (2 comment of 2).
    * She's holding on to my $25.00, our ticket is only $22.00.

Well for the Canadian Prevost X3-45 (or for any vehicle for the matter at hand), the longer the wheel base the smoother the ride and the less whip-spin from body overhang..

Why are all the drivers side rear mud flap missing or been cut away on all these beautiful coaches. Maint Dept, should stop that practice, this is
why rocks are flying up from the rear of these bus coaches making Greyhound Inc., liable for lawsuits. Notice the rear drivers side mud flaps are being remove or cut.
