I never thought I would be a Twenty One Pilots' fan but I went on a date with a woman who had tickets for their concert in Columbus. I'm in my mid 30s and most of the crowd were teenagers. Honestly, it was one of the best concerts I've been to. I'm more of a prog metal fan, but I enjoy a lot of music, especially live. Their live show was so good and the songs were great. I would love to see them again live.
Same. You can see the strong creative spirit. The same thing I feel from some prog metal bands or experimental ones like Enter Shikari, Linkin Park, Sleep Token, etc.
i love going to their concerts because a lot of the time there’s all ages who know the words, like there was about a 60 year old man in front of me when i went in 2022 and he was singing along!! such a great sense of community
Same. My kids have been listening to them for years. I didn't really start listening untill the pandemic. I freaking love them. I am a teenagers mom. 😁
I love how everything is so personalized, I feel like so many artists nowadays have studios that are so typical and bare, but in josh's case literally every detail is thought out! I loveeee how he uses those bass drums as side tables and how he has a kit that is his treehouse aesthetic! its so him
I first saw twenty one pilots like 10 years ago when I was back in high school and they were small enough to play Emo’s in Austin as the headliner. Show wasn’t even sold out! So crazy to see how far they’ve come even if I don’t really vibe with their music anymore (Trench was their magnum opus IMO). They deserve all their success and the fruits of their labor. AMAZING home studio Josh. I wonder if Sweetwater will do a video with Tyler’s home studio as well 👀
@@Bigchinckalishious Maybe for you but Blurryface and Scaled and Icy are both duds imo. A lot of their older music I can’t even listen to anymore without cringing
its really cool to see how far they've come. From the videos of them editing samples/songs for RAB to now Gold/Platinum across multiple albums. Ya love to see it
24:03 good choice of words, seeing that we (Coastal Calif) are in the midst of one heck of a "May Gray / June Gloom" that seems to be relentless this past month. Aside from that, so stoked for you and your wife on this amazing build and that kit is mindblowing! Love the kick and every part of that 'tree house' drum kit. Much love for the 805 Central Coast of California.
Love watching these studio builds. Josh's studio is sick and the design and all elements of sound and isolation are cool. Haverstick design is the innovation of total personal design for studio musicians
I know that he said he'd never tour or travel with that drum kit but I'd love if Twenty One Pilots is going to do another album after Clancy or if that is like their peak and that's it, I'd love for them to do some like nature wonderland type aesthetic album with trees and moss and vines and stuff. I'd think it'd be super cool!
Very nicely done. I'm looking to build out my studio room later this year, and always looking for great inspiration, and this fits that bill!! The only critique I would have as a guitarist is to get something else instead of the Kemper as it's essentially outdated at this point (11 years? now, plus the capture process is overly complicated, and newer products have the same technology and can produce better results). A Quad Cortex, or the new Tone X, or an AFX 3 can yield much better results with far more flexibility for the same (or less) money. Granted he's a drummer and isn't as concerned with it, so I can understand the choice. Great work!!
There's certainly newer technology out there but if you think Kemper isn't capable of some incredible guitar tones you're out of your mind. A few years back before Tone-X or Quad Cortex there were bands doing worldwide arena tours with Kempers which sounded incredible. Those units don't sound any less incredible today. There's just some newer tech available.
@@BecomingProductions of course! My point is if I'm going to spend money on fitting a new studio today, I wouldn't invest in a Kemper as there's newer / better options now in that price range or less. The Kemper was a game changer when it came out, definitely deserves all the kudos for changing the industry the way that it did!
Super cool studio! I couldn't hang out in there with that awful art work though! Those are the same flowers my 3 year old currently draws on everything!
sick video would have preferred a studio tour though the sitting in the ring interviews was boring but you could just do two videos this longer one and with just the studio tour thank you for showing us this awesome studio
Lets box!! Im ready to fight this spiritual battle. I can do it from here gymnasium. I mean, Josh. Jim. The chosen ones probably should stick close to home. So Josh? Those flowers are reminiscent of... the Apple's. Welp, God, uhhh, Jesus C. Jesus, Joseph, and Mary!! 💋 👑.Iraq my brain to figure it all out. Tryton to be more fluid in you're communication with me so that ...mmmm...mmmmmm...we be friends and never go on vacation. Thanks for never falling falling away from me. I don't know Debbie, but 1000 blessings. Tell Cleopatra hello for me ( Tyler) lol. Love Emily Rose.
Sweetwater gave him the equipment? Isn’t that something, you got money but people give you stuff. Meanwhile their new generation can’t afford decent equipment because they are over charged at every turn.

@@ji_yinkOP was the first band that I actually followed, and then eventually I found foo fighters and other rock bands so I feel similarly

prog metal, tf is wrong w you all generes and artists aim to progress...

At 62 Josh gave me my PASSION for drums again! 😁 THANK YOU JOSH!🙏
Now that's a home studio!
18:24 the first take was good, but the second take. chills.
I can't believe Josh got the one and only Jim Dun to stay as a permanent producer!
We 💙 Jim the Dog
Young Jim Dunn is so talented

This comment made us all smile. Thank you for taking time to watch this video and for the kind words.
TJ you blew this out of the park! This is a neat interview with a very neat setup. Incredible!
I wish I had a neighbor like Josh who'd play drums for me. Thank you josh for this video
In Austin now but, lived just North of Columbus…. In Powell Ohio and moved to Austin in 2006 was raised mainly in Columbus, Oh.
My studio is just.. a bedroom , at least my acoustic is hanging so some customisation. This makes me think more about what I want from a space
Nice Studio well done. Josh is such a nice guy.
More of Josh's amazing students. Yayy

I became a fan through my wife. Then, I went to a concert and they're like the only band where I like almost every one of their songs.
Josh is amazing ❤

Very nice video. Helpful and Good overview and dialogue.
Great space. My BAE 1073MP is my favorite new piece of studio gear too

I'm a simple man, I see doggo, I press Like
Shout out to Colin from House of Heroes making a cameo 🤘🤘
This was posted 1 year before Clancy released
As a musician I have to admit I wouldn’t mind having a few of those bad boys in the studio.
Beautiful!
Home studio that dreams are made of lol
511s into the 1176s into the conversion.. got it
only my favorite drummer HIII :)!
Quiero aprender a tocar la batería tan increíble así como el🤍

And the million dollar question is “why a boxing ring?”
Answer: *BECAUSE YOU CAN!!!!!*
10:55 thought that was tony hawk for a sec
que guapo, te amo
Is like when Ferb talks for the first time

Great as always! I'm an Ohio boy too🤘
Joshua William Dun
I’m surprised he could keep his shirt on for the whole video…

Shoutout to Debby Ryan❤❤❤❤
better watch this guy's tutorial on "how to mix in the box"
He's the third twin from the Dude Perfect people
Curious on the lav mic that is being used?
Anyone know what kind of arm that is holding the computer monitor?
Does anyone know the release date?
I want a huge mirror in front of me drumming, I want to see the flowers on the wall behind me.
I bet 21 pilots can write one anger song someday
I hope Jim the Dog doesn't go deaf
What?
Did you want some home with that studio?
Wich is the DAW he is using?
Looks like Logic Pro
Thank God, not ANOTHER red studio 😂
North Europeans read: Twenty Oene Piloets ( Ø = o + e )
But Columbus isn't anywhere near the beach?!?!
Yea, its closer to the paladin strait
21 pilots?
OH .......... IO
Sorry but these just make me sad now, like MTV cribs except more precise at making me miserable.
I feel you. I gotta unsubscribe to Andrew Masters because those studio tours get me so bummed lol 😂
Why do they make you sad? You can build a place of your own, but you've gotta get creative.
@@legacyShredder1 Money
@@niveketihw1897 Money makes @Light & The Weight sad?
