For Manaea to go from being an afterthought on the mound to a reliable starter that inspires confidence in his team, a star player that gives fans peace of mind whenever he's on the mound, and a weapon for opposing teams to fear... that HAS to be a dream scenario that the vast majority of players strive for, with few being able to actually achieve it. After the debacles surrounding DeGrom, Syndergaard, Scherzer and Verlander, not to mention Diaz's moronic injury that sidelined him for the entire 2023 season, the payoff for the multitudes of improvements up and down the roster have been amazing. Sean Manaea reinvented himself with the delivery overhaul. Jose Iglesias was on the verge of retirement after being pingponged all over the league with a barrage of Triple-A assignments before coming back to the majors to stay this year. Mark Vientos was sent back down to Triple-A despite some strong offensive performances (since he was initially called up to cover for Marte (bereavement), and once again after DFA'ing Wendle), before (again) being called up as the starting third baseman. David Peterson pitched poorly before 2024, but has become a juggernaut in 2024, both as a starter as well as a reliever, adding a lot more depth to the pitching roster. Tylor Megill has struggled to find his footing on the mound, but might have finally discovered the winning formula with his pitching to build upon. This team is electrifying the fan base with their hard work and selfless play. LFGM!!!!!!!!!!

Although I understand why Doc has Ohtani hitting in the lead-off position, since his numbers are _so bad_ without runners on base, why not instead put him in either the three or four hole? That extra at-bat is being wasted because he's 0'fer without guys on base ahead of him; it's a wash. @@AlyssaPellizzeri-n9h we will see what happens but I believe in the dodgers. They have to win.
What is Big Papi's problem with touching the thigh of the man to his right? Not that I want to see him touch Jeter, but whether it's ARod or the player who joins at first, Papi keeps touching their thigh in a very creepy way. Maybe that's ok in the Red Sox dugout, but it comes off creepy.
NEW YORK PLAYOFF BASEBALL IN CITI FIELD ISN’T DODGER STADIUM 🏟️. THE PRESSURE IS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. LETS SEE OF OTANI CAN HANDLE NEW YORK PLAYOFF PRESSURE.
Although I understand why Doc has Ohtani hitting in the lead-off position, since his numbers are _so bad_ without runners on base, why not instead put him in either the three or four hole? That extra at-bat is being wasted because he's 0'fer without guys on base ahead of him; it's a wash. Instead, if they move him down the lineup a little, and if one or more guys can get on base ahead of him... the differential is staggering!
Ohtani should be batting third…
