I love this keyboard. Epomaker really knocked it out of the park here. I love every Epomaker keyboard I bought thus far but this one takes it to the next level. Epomaker lite is probably my most disappointing, but it can still be great once I mod it a bit. I'm new to this hobby and pretty much done with my prebuilt phase unless something catches my eye but prebuilt from either Epomaker or iqunix are great! I was shocked to really love these Baby K switches as I normally hate every switch i've used so far from Gateron. Also, it's a shame these switches aren't actually called Baby K.
Having Gat CJs as an option is really nice, those are definitely great switches! Otherwise, that price point just seems pretty high to me, especially in the US when the Mode Envoy will be an in stock purchase starting at $220 for barebones. Also seems a bummer they got rid of the multiple mounting options, though it does seem isolation gasket is what the mainstream wants right now.
Is it what the mainstream wants, or has nobody bothered releasing a board recently with a different mount lol I don’t know honestly, but it sounds a bit like saying “people want phones without home buttons” when no flagship phone has been offered with a home button in a long time and then claiming that because people still buy phones that home buttons aren’t popular. Well… people want phones… and they don’t get the option of what they want, they’re not just going to not buy a phone, you still need something
@@jammies701 Totally valid question!! I would personally love to see more variety in the mainstream boards (especially more gummy o ring options)!! I think you’re probably right.
@@ImOnMy116 maybe be a little bit of both because flex still seems to be in with a lot of people, and if you don’t have cuts then you have to show that your board has flex some other way, and gaskets are an easy way to do that Personally I’ve never understood why people love isolation mounts because I feel like the case has a lot to do with sound, but then again, I’ve never tried one because I have extremely limited board options due to my layout needs
@@jammies701 I mean I’m pretty sure no one was using the the tray mount leaf option lol. Most GB are run through IC first and a lot offer top vs gasket mount. That is more of a discussion to be had forsure. I do want a home button again on my phone so I see where you’re coming from lol.
@@Akeynote Tray mount leaf did sound interesting, but I’d believe it wasn’t super popular. Agreed it seems like top mount is a very common 2nd mounting option (presumably because of the relative ease of implementation). I’ve become a huge sucker for plateless boards and am stoked that there are more options coming out from QK / Iris Studios that are pcb gasket mounted vs plate mounted gaskets. I could really go for a 1.2mm PCB no flex cuts for a plateless build, but I haven’t seen it much except on higher end boards.
This could be for two reasons. 1. My caliper sucks or 2. They lie lol. I measured three different keys just now from gmk bento and None of them were close 1.5. The left shift sidewall was 1.3mm. On paper they say “about” 1.5mm. Interesting question though, I may have to address this in a future vid.
@@Akeynote hmm could be your caliber as I have seen in the past reddit posts showing a caliper reading of 1.5mm. 1.1 is super thin to be honest, it's aliexpress thin territory :D

Agreed
Classic distinct font, makes it unique.
I don’t disagree!
Another quality banger❤️
Aww shucks. Thanks
I really like the just plate foam configuration but all of them are very good.
Yeah all work pretty well!!
Now THIS is a Very Interesting video

The pe foam ❤
It hits for sure
Is that the best keyboard in the market for gaming? Is it better than the wooting 60he?
No way, the wootings Hall effect switches are designed for gaming. These are more designed for sound aesthetics and typing experience.
why is your gmk only 1.1 mm? Isn't the standard 1.5mm?

Ali express caliper… Ali express readings lol
man I think they would have really had something on their hands in terms of value if they had a barebones offering
I agree. It would’ve been a really good barebones kit
how can you hold the keyboard using one hand like that 😂🥹
Hey MCZ! Close up magic 😁😁.
