    I have the full set of Ohuhu markers and I love them! I bought them just after they came out with the brush/fine tip set, but before they had any refills. I love that they have refills and cannot wait until they have refills for all of their colors. I don’t need the refills because the markers dry out, I simply use specific markers a lot because I make multiples of each card layout. When I’m making a scene card with Lawn Fawn critters, I might have 4-5 little critters per card, and I usually make 20 cards of each layout, but if I love the layout, I might make as many as 40-50. So I use some of my colors over and over, and they run out faster than other colors. I’ve never had an Ohuhu marker just dry out. My issue with Ohuhu markers was that when they first came out, many of the people I watch on UA-cam had already invested a lot of money into their Copic markers so that was what they were using. Over time, I’ve noticed some YpuTuber’s using Ohuhu markers, and I’ve also seen people post Ohuhu blends on Pinterest. I was not aware that Sandy Allnock had created a hex chart for Ohuhu! I will be buying that this weekend! I use my fine tip nib the most often because I use a lot of stamp sets that have small images, but I do use the brush tip quite often. I have never had to replace any of my Ohuhu nibs; I’ve not even had to use the other side of the double sided brush nib. My Ohuhu markers have been a great investment, and I’ve never been sorry that I purchased them.

    I just bought a smaller set of these same markers. I’m very happy with them. Just know that that the cap colors are different than the actual ink colors, so swatching and grouping them is important. I have mine rubber banded into tone groups.

      Oh that's smart to group them together like that. I agree totally about the caps. I find the Sandy Allnock swatch hex sheet to be immensely helpful with that too!! Thanks for watching!

    They look great! My daughter has the pastel collection and loves them. I needed a black marker and bought a set of Ohuhu black fine line pens. They work great! I have so many Spectrum Noir markers that I may not start over with other companies, but this is a great choice. I will definitely use your code if we shop. Thanks!

    I bought a smaller set of this brand four years ago and I’ve never regretted it. My set is much smaller than your set and I do sometimes find it to be limiting, but honestly I rarely use alcohol markers so this brand is perfect for me. I too much prefer the brush tip and fine detail tip over the chisel tip. Price is always a consideration too…..mine are going strong four years later with zero drying out and no crystallization. 😎

    I’ve been wanting to get a set. Especially since there’s the option for brush/fine tip. I bought the whole set but it was as a gift for my niece. Now I’m saving for a set for me.
    I will add that I do have a set of Spectrum Noir, but I’m not overly thrilled. Some colors were practically dry and I wasn’t offered a replacement when I complained. Plus I find the caps very hard to get off and that doesn’t help my arthritis. And some ink can splatter/flick when trying to get cap off.

    I have an older set of Ohuhu markers and I really dolike them but they have the brush and chisel ends. I've been debating about getting a new set with the fine tip/brush tip because I think those would be used more for the type of coloring I do rather than the chisel end. I bought a small set of Ohuhu markers many years ago when they first popped up on Amazon. What I didn't like was that they were more opaque than Copics and hard to blend. I'm not a skilled colorer, so I like easy. Could you do a video on blending with these?

    • @amyswares
      @amyswares  25 днів тому +1

    I’ve been having the same problems with my Copics. I have some replacement markers and refills coming in the mail today but I really have to decide if it’s worth the expense given how little I use them. I think I’m going to stop replacing them and eventually go with a less expensive option.

    • @amyswares
      @amyswares  24 дні тому +1

      Yeah that's pretty much where I am at. I had bought some refills and replaced some nibs and yet they still go dry so then I basically wasted all of that when the marker itself is clearly cracked. It's definitely not worth it to me anymore with as little as I color.

    You might get some blowback about using ohuhu. Sandy Alnock has a review on the same page as her hex sheet, discussing basically copyright infringement. I view them as the sort of Aldi version of copics. There are many companies who have alcohol markers now, so I don’t feel bad about owning them, myself. I mean, there was one model t before the many, many automobiles we have out there today. Now we have a variety of autos to choose from.

      The 48 Mid Tone Set [This + the above = the 216 set]
