This is how you edit/produce a video of this nature! All the different camera angles really gave us a sense of speed and excitement! Very refreshing from the other 900 videos where the selfie stick GoPro is pointed at the face of the kiter. (Look at me mom!) Seriously I watched it twice. I have a Hydra 420 trainer kite and snowboard I'm dying to try out, no 3rd line attachment just the bar. Not sure how well it'll work out but I am sure I'll get blown around so should be fun either way. Your video is getting me psyched!
Amazing Jeremy, one question where is that beautiful lake and what kitesurf level you think is necessary to start icekitesurfing? Thanx and keep It Up!
There is a Switchblade kit mounted onto the board. The board is fine since all of the load is on the blade rather than the snowboard edge. You can see close ups of the Switchblade here: www.kiteboardonice.com/
There is, my newest video shows toe side and blind riding with a second Switchblade mounted to the board. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/8Kg2tsJpYhc/v-deo.html
Same as on snow or water. Edge further into the wind while bringing the kite up. I have more ice kiting videos that show transitions and carves, check them out!
It's more common than you'd think. A lot of times it's early in the season but sometimes you get a bad year for snow. Either way it is good to get a session on the kite.

Thanks! This is on Gull lake in Minnesota. I'd say if you're riding upwind on snow or water then you're ready for Ice.
@@TheRealJeremyJones Thanx a lot man, amazing, cheers from Spain!
Where can I get that screw for attaching chicken loop to ice?
We're trying to get some made at an affordable price, but for now www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=ice%20screw&ssPageName=GSTL
Probably at a home depot?
How was your board after the session? I’ve seen some using ice skates (ice kiting). I would think a snowboard would be ruined on ice

How do you have an edge for ice?
There is a Switchblade kit mounted to the heelside of the snowboard. You can find more info here:

Is there no way to toe side with wing attached?

What's the procedure to stop?

That's gotta be rare to find a frozen lake with no snow on it

@@TheRealJeremyJones cool! I'm in Nova Scotia. Usually by the time it's safe to skate on the ice, it's already covered in snow
High price to pay when and if you crash.
Only if you crash from jumps
