I still think that besides Tobias, Per really does a fantastic job as a performer.. stays in character and really puts on a show...love the way he stomps, stands at attention, the whole showman ship thing...I really hope this version of the band sticks together for awhile...the two female Ghouls playing keyboards and the rhythm guitarist added so much live....
I couldnt agree more!! He really has grown into such a lil character! My absolute favorite!!! I fucking adore Per, dewdrop, whatever they call him now, I love him!!
Almark SO MUCH THIS. I’m talking NES Castlevania, not this new-fangled Xbox and Play-Bation nonsense. This is classic rock through and through. Dad rock wit just enough evil to entrap the youngsters.
Ghost reminds me of the theatricality of 80s heavy metal before glam and thrash. Mystique, heavy melodies that get embedded in your brain, great musicianship, and an enthralling frontman. Never heard of Ghost til about two weeks ago, great find!
I personally LOVE the new album, some are complaining that it's not heavy enough. Ghost isn't a "metal" band, and I like that every album has it's own identity. That's what theatrical bands are supposed to go for. If every album sounded the same, what's the point of even going on? "Opus" was dark, an introduction to Ghost and their style. "Infestissumam" was psychedelic with a bit of doom. It showed the real talent of the band...the diversity in their songwriting. "Meliora" was heavy and doomy...almost the "Pinnacle of Papa". Now, "Prequelle" is an experimentation into Tobias' progressive, pop and new wave influences...of course, with the darkness of Ghost. That's just my take on it. I love every album in it's own way. I didn't include the cover albums, because they're cover albums. They're good, but it's hard to compare them with original material.
The new album is really good, and i agree Ghost is not metal, but after being very objective and listened to the older albums you cant deny it feels way less "dark", i personally dont care but i can see why a lot of other people complain about it
I still say they’re a metal band. He said the idea behind the sound of the band was what death metal would sound like if it came out in the 60’s or 70’s. Metal is such a diverse genre they still fit in it as far as I’m concerned.
I agree. Probably the best video shoot so far. Ghost has definitely gotten better, sound wise and musicianship has really stepped up. Each album gets better, each live show gets better.
I disagree, Ghost has been losing its quality since Infesstissumam. The lyrics, as well as the music, changed a lot, and are getting poorer and simpler.
Ghosts stage performance is just... fantastic! It's amazing how formal they stay while performing in front of thousands of screaming fans, and how Tobias is able to sing nonstop for up to an hour on a stage. Props to them!
Holly Andrews ghost did steal the show. AIC has been my favorite for a long, long time, and ghost undoubtedly sounded better than AIC. 2nd time seeing ghost for me and I will not be missing them in the future.
redbeard1083 I have every intention of seeing them again as well. I am amazed at the fact that they perform better live than recorded, not many artists can say that. I’m sold on the new album yet. Guess it will grow on me
Holly Andrews the live show is where the whole spectacle makes the most sense anyway. Seeing them pass out communion, wave incense around. When they're headlining the whole show is like a black mass with the crowd chanting "hail satan" along with the songs. t's just too much fun and a nice, over-the-top break from real life stuff. It's just a massive amount of fun and it's been missing from rock music for a long time.
Bought a ticket to this festival, then found out almost at the last minute that they were playing a full show in Port Chester, NY earlier in the week. Got to see the full show and the condensed version, and both were fantastic. Sync problems aside, I love this video because I had so much fun at this show! All the bands sounded great, but Ghost was amazing. As good as AIC were, I was so spent after Ghost that I too had difficulty paying attention.
Ghost is better seeing them live than listen to their albums ,because you can see the Ghouls that are part of the show and they are creating what Ghost is all about
Ah, we must remember Cardinal Copia has to prove himself to Papa Nihil! *wink wink* Perhaps it was on purpose, or maybe somebody flashed him and made him forget the words. That has happened before.
They are. In fact they're too clear. Way too much sibilance in the vocals. In fact there's too much treble bias overall. And I'm listening on Sennheisers which aren't known for sounding bright. Not sure if that was performed, recorded, or uploaded that way.
Was at this festival. Never saw Ghost before, knew absolutely nothing about them, never heard their songs, and LOVED the whole performance! Been geeking out over their music ever since! Thanks for the upload - it was great to watch again.
yupsure2, I’d like to thank you again for uploading this video. I watch it nearly every day, to the point of obsession. I think the 50-minute length makes it an easy fit into my day. I was there as well, but was so busy screaming and dancing that I taped very little of Ghost’s set. They seem to have gained quite a few new fans at this show, including the woman next to me. I’m so glad you enjoyed them!
Yeah I have watched this video alot myself, pretty much once a day.. After this show I said to myself that I need to see them again first chance I get. I'm going to see them in December and it can't come fast enough lol
As a birthday present to myself, I’m attending three shows in December: Baltimore, Albany, and what looks to be the last one of the tour, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn (on my birthday). FYI: Two years ago the last show of the tour was also in Brooklyn, at the Kings Theater. I was lucky enough to attend the Meet & Greet. What’s notable is that these were the musicians that Tobias terminated afterwards, resulting in the now-infamous lawsuit.
Tobias has chosen a great bunch of musicians to make up the ghoul contingent and I bet they can't believe their luck!! The new lead guitarist is the best they've had by far, everything seems to be in place for world domination and my world doesn't Tobias deserve it!
I agree with Joseph. The older albums and the themes to them just had so much more sustenance than their newer radio friendly ones. Don’t get me wrong I’m still a huge fan, but Infestissumam really got me. I couldn’t stop listening to it. Their gimmick was preserved and the music was driven and dark. I miss their old days but I’ll never stop listening.
Graham Hall Your comment is understandable but today Ghost is basically Tobias who makes all the money with cosplayers in the band who keep changing every year.
This performance made me a fan. I hadn't ever actually bothered listening to them because of their "gimmick". After seeing they were so good live (the light show during Dance Macabre was insane) the gimmick is great. The juxtaposition of the Papa/Cardinal character and the upbeat/catchy qualities of a lot of their songs is fascinating.
This is exactly how I felt about them and I've been obsessed with them for the last week. I wish I could have fallen down this rabbit hole a year ago because I would have gone to this show.
Very good audio! This guitarist (Fire) really is close to perfection! I only think Tobias' voice could be a bit bassy and stronger. But, damn, amazing melody, lyrics AND on_stage performance!
Man, this shooting is one of the best I've seen from this current tour. This new formation is sharp as hell, and I need to highlight the new Fire (lead guitar), he absolutly nails it! Off course we all love the Infest ghouls, but this new formation is doing a superb job. Fire, you're a demon, man! Excelent job!
Rich Dinapoli I agree. I was thinking the same since the first time I saw the new formation. But then "he" is the original Ghuleh, why is she not wearing a female mask? In fact, I think one of the previous posters of the tour showed 4 Ghouls and 3 Ghuleh's. Why not the same in the concerts? The eternal mysteries of Ghost, I suppose 😂
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that the bass player of the last tour was a woman. It was a very commented issue, at least in Spain and Spanish America. Then, if the new guitar player is the same person as the old bassist (a lot of people think this around the world) technically he is a woman. But like I said, maybe I'm wrong. The shape of the body is a bit feminine, I think, and also the eyes.
Mario Sanfiz No!! The female was Megan Thomas in 2016! Last year’s bassist was him indeed. His name is Per Eriksson, he played in Katatonia and Bloodbath. He’s an extreme talented musician and is showing it in Ghost as well.
It's amazing to watch this video in 2020. Beside that this show was awesome, It's incredible how far they've come with this tour and how developed caracteres and performances. They are BY FAR my favourites. Just the best!
The high end (16khz) could get nudged down a little to clean up the clipping on the symbols, but easily the best audio quality of the new songs on youtube.
Ah no apology necessary, didn't mean it as a criticism. Mixing rare and fan filmed concerts is just a hobby I have. The fact that the audio quality is this good to begin with is an achievement in and of itself.
Does anyone know the current line-up? I really dig the lead guitarist. His playing is very clean and his attitude on stage is cool. I like the throat cut gesture as the main riff kicks in Cirice. Drummer is strong as well. Hell they are all great.
Per Ericsson played bass last year and is on lead guitar now. He played guitar in Katatonia and Bloodbath, about as different a pair of metal bands as you can find. Edit: They’re actually not that different. At least they weren’t in their early stages. Both featured that growling vocal style that death-metal bands seem to prefer. Katatonia - apparently for a number of reasons - switched to a more traditional approach. I watched a live video of them, and they were really good.
I grew up listening to Pantera and the old Metallica so yea, Im kinda old but I still and will always love my metal. Ive heard of these guys but never listened so thanks for sharing this show. It instantly made me a fan and Im kicking myself for waiting this long! These guys are tight and I wasnt sure about the vocals at first but theyre growing on me. Im lovin these guys!
Love the tracks I've heard from Prequelle but this is the first time I heard Faith. AWESOME song, definitely my favorite so far!!! Huge Ghost fan, wasn't to big on the Cardinal Copia character at first but I'm coming around,,,lol
I was at this show (and saw the show in Port Chester earlier in the week). The closeups alone make this worthwhile, and the audio quality is so good, you can actually hear T’s pitch problems on “Rats” (I sure didn’t that night). Edit: Years later, I’m really grateful for this video. I truly believe that this gig was a turning point for the band. Even though T wasn’t at his best vocally (he even fudged the lyrics during “Year Zero”!), his showmanship moved things along and the band was spectacular (I love Per). I’m so proud of how far they’ve come.
thanks for the upload, and the amazing quality!!! I was 2nd row in Syracuse on this tour...they played 2 1/2 hours...greatest experience of my life!!! I got a few good vids, and a few good pics...but your efforts posted take me back to that night...thank you, this has been the best Ghost tour to date!!!
Does anyone actually believe that a band would deliberately have a different lead singer for each album? Singers who look and sound alike? Hell, the only reason this guy’s singing is because nobody else wanted to!
Fantastic quality, I would say that since the resolution is so good, you should go into the enhancements and apply the stabilization filter to get the shake out, the quality is good enough to fix it and still be good.
0:00 Ashes
1:19 Rats
5:44 Absolution
10:41 From The Pinnacle to the Pit
16:30 Faith
20:32 Year Zero
26:14 He Is
30:36 Devil Church
31:53 Cerice
37:48 Ritual
42:26 Dance Macabre
46:29 Square Hammer
BigBlackShadow Thanks for that!!
BigBlackShadow Was this a shorter concert than they've been doing? They performed almost twice as much songs in their earlier shows for this tour.
And they didn't performed Monstrance Clock, that's strange.
J Shadow Gates or Pro Memoria
The set is supposed to be 2 hours long. What was different about this show and the rest of the tour?
I still think that besides Tobias, Per really does a fantastic job as a performer.. stays in character and really puts on a show...love the way he stomps, stands at attention, the whole showman ship thing...I really hope this version of the band sticks together for awhile...the two female Ghouls playing keyboards and the rhythm guitarist added so much live....
I couldnt agree more!! He really has grown into such a lil character! My absolute favorite!!! I fucking adore Per, dewdrop, whatever they call him now, I love him!!
Instant chills on that opening Riff to square hammer. They really have some special with that song
It's like, what would happen If Castlevania were a metal band.
Almark SO MUCH THIS. I’m talking NES Castlevania, not this new-fangled Xbox and Play-Bation nonsense. This is classic rock through and through. Dad rock wit just enough evil to entrap the youngsters.
Great :) I too speak of classic Castlevania ;)
actually SOTN is an amazing game, I was thinking of that very title comparing it to Ghost.
Eh....Cradle of Filth is Castlevania. Ghost reminds me of the Riddler's (Batman) take on King Diamond/Mercyful Fate
Scooby-doom metal
I’m just discovering this band and I have CHILLS! Such gorgeous MUSIC!!!
RIGHT same
I strongly suggest check out their first 3 records! Meliora is my favorite, it's what hooked me to this band.
Ghost reminds me of the theatricality of 80s heavy metal before glam and thrash. Mystique, heavy melodies that get embedded in your brain, great musicianship, and an enthralling frontman. Never heard of Ghost til about two weeks ago, great find!
13:18 Best ending to a great guitar solo ever!
I didn't include the cover albums, because they're cover albums. They're good, but it's hard to compare them with original material.
sydIRISH I totally agree! That’s the genius of Ghost. They’re truly amongst one of the greatest rock bands I think.
The new album is really good, and i agree Ghost is not metal, but after being very objective and listened to the older albums you cant deny it feels way less "dark", i personally dont care but i can see why a lot of other people complain about it
Some songs are definitely metal, others not so much. But who cares as long as it sounds good. Ghost know how to do it.
I still say they’re a metal band. He said the idea behind the sound of the band was what death metal would sound like if it came out in the 60’s or 70’s. Metal is such a diverse genre they still fit in it as far as I’m concerned.
All show, no substance.
Weeeeak vocals.
I agree. Probably the best video shoot so far. Ghost has definitely gotten better, sound wise and musicianship has really stepped up. Each album gets better, each live show gets better.
TF can spend more money on the shows now. As long as people show up the shows will only get bigger.
I disagree, Ghost has been losing its quality since Infesstissumam. The lyrics, as well as the music, changed a lot, and are getting poorer and simpler.
Free Market Communism I’d say you’re in the minority, pal. The new stuff fits right in on the live set.
Meliora for me was on step beyond the first two albums. Prequelle was a stepback for me, a big production with just a few good songs.
Finally listened to the whole thing, and while it’s not as good as Meliora, it’s better than I thought it would be.
man, the way he lowers his register in "from the pinnacle to the pit" is awesome. Glad to see he still has that growl potential from Repugnant
Zyan Capristano was he the lead singer of repugnant?
Pumping Friedo yes, before Ghost he fronted both Repugnant and Subvision
And if I'm not mistaken, he was also the bassist for Magna Carta Cartel (MCC)
Zyan Capristano oh well, I did not know this, pretty interesting, he seems to be so fukn talented!
is he singing or is it playback?
José Ramón Rivera he is singing, it just looks like that because of his mask sometimes
Goddamn, new Fire absolutely *CRUSHED* every single one of those solos!
Something about Ghost's music and lyrics that fucking hypnotize you! This band is epic!
Ghosts stage performance is just... fantastic! It's amazing how formal they stay while performing in front of thousands of screaming fans, and how Tobias is able to sing nonstop for up to an hour on a stage. Props to them!
Love the goulette singing in the background
Its a ghoul. Maybe a ghoulette then.
Been listening to this everyday for a few weeks. Usually in the background, good sound quality!! Good zooms pans, etc.
The best live recording i see in UA-cam... High quality sound!!! Thank's for share this...
Ghost's music is getting better and better
I didn't like Ghost at first now I love them.
This was my first Ghost show. I was there for Alice In Chains but Ghost stole the show for me. I’m sold. Thank you for uploading this video
Honestly, AIC sounded great, but I was shook after Ghost and couldn't really pay attention. Luckily, I've seen AIC before.

Never heard this group before. They are awesome!!! Thank you for the upload . Must buy their CD. Yes I'm old
68pointbreak Cd is old? I'm gonna buy it on lp.
do yourself a favor and buy their every cd!
Silva João Yerp!!!
or just download them for free from somewhere ;-)
glennaldosf or actually help them, and not be a jerk. it won't cost much anyways
God damn dance macrabe is so good love
Live
It really is. Not sure why some people aren't into it. I love it
its the weakest song on Prequelle...that isnt saying much though since they are all great songs lol
Dakota Jones
Didn’t like it at first, but it’s such an ear worm that I couldn’t get it out of my head!
Sacriflst it’s*
Great audio. The vocals are crystal clear.
DrJWo so clear that you can hear him mess up in Yero Zero hahaha
Ah, we must remember Cardinal Copia has to prove himself to Papa Nihil! *wink wink* Perhaps it was on purpose, or maybe somebody flashed him and made him forget the words. That has happened before.
I guess it was you?
They are. In fact they're too clear. Way too much sibilance in the vocals. In fact there's too much treble bias overall. And I'm listening on Sennheisers which aren't known for sounding bright. Not sure if that was performed, recorded, or uploaded that way.

Same here!!! Lol

Where are you seeing them in December? I'm going on December 5th in Wilkesbarre PA.
As a birthday present to myself, I’m attending three shows in December: Baltimore, Albany, and what looks to be the last one of the tour, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn (on my birthday). the old members and music was way better than this new shit
I bet it must be just like working at Disneyland. Absolute hell.
Graham Hall New guy is great, but no-one tops Alpha.
Graham Hall Your comment is understandable but today Ghost is basically Tobias who makes all the money with cosplayers in the band who keep changing every year.
a damn great band ,,,,, Tobias plays the part very well the way his motions and everything are perfect ,,,, fuckin love this band
13:10 He just rips a monster lick and stops playing for about four bars. That’s the guitarist’s equivalent of a mic drop! Hahaha
Evan L it was pretty good, what?
The new lead guitarist has really grown on me, and I say this as someone who absolutely loved Simon (Alpha).
Evan L Fuck off fedora lord
And then hes throwing his pick out like hes having a wank.
Krazlo we’re reaching sass levels that shouldn’t be possible :D
Thank you so much for having this video! This was my first ritual and it really kicked off my love for Ghost
Same!
Awesome that they finally live live backing vocals!
Faith kicks ass!
I can't believe I'm just now listening to these guys. Better late then never. They're awesome. Dance Macabre hooked me
This performance made me a fan. I hadn't ever actually bothered listening to them because of their "gimmick". After seeing they were so good live (the light show during Dance Macabre was insane) the gimmick is great. damn, those backing vocals during "He Is" are preetty good
Love his graceful stage presence.
I just now discovered this band. They are fucking EPIC! I love this kind of melodic rock. Lots of movement. Very orchestral. I'm a fan.
Very good audio! This guitarist (Fire) really is close to perfection! I only think Tobias' voice could be a bit bassy and stronger. But, damn, amazing melody, lyrics AND on_stage performance!
Really awesome quality in video and sound, only with one camera, many sound engineers of concerts would learn from this
Man, this shooting is one of the best I've seen from this current tour.
This new formation is sharp as hell, and I need to highlight the new Fire (lead guitar), he absolutly nails it! Off course we all love the Infest ghouls, but this new formation is doing a superb job.
Fire, you're a demon, man!
Excelent job!
He actually was the bass player on the last tour.
Rich Dinapoli I agree. I was thinking the same since the first time I saw the new formation. But then "he" is the original Ghuleh, why is she not wearing a female mask? I think it's awesome how the Nameless Ghouls get so into it, to the point where they're head banging everywhere 😂🤘
Aww he is so cute, I love his voice *-*♡
Jesus Anti-Christ. The ending to Rats is probably the most epic thing ive ever heard, so glad i was there that night to experience that.
Thanks for the post...Sound and visual quality outstanding!
The high end (16khz) could get nudged down a little to clean up the clipping on the symbols, but easily the best audio quality of the new songs on youtube.
Yeah sorry, I'm not a sound engineer but I do the best i can using Audacity lol
*cymbals
Ah no apology necessary, didn't mean it as a criticism. Mixing rare and fan filmed concerts is just a hobby I have. The fact that the audio quality is this good to begin with is an achievement in and of itself.
Great quality man. Thanks!
Does anyone know the current line-up? I really dig the lead guitarist. His playing is very clean and his attitude on stage is cool. I like the throat cut gesture as the main riff kicks in Cirice. Drummer is strong as well. Hell they are all great.
the throat cut was amazing as hell indeed !
the drummer is hayden scott formerly of AWOLNATION and the lead was the bass player during the 2017 tour IIRC
Per Ericsson played bass last year and is on lead guitar now. He played guitar in Katatonia and Bloodbath, about as different a pair of metal bands as you can find.

4 OR 5 UNKNOW GHOULS, 2 GHOULETTES
thanx 4 likin my comment
Been a big fan of GHOST since late 2015. Cant wait to see them when they come to San Diego, CA. in November. Its going to be one hell of a show!
Sodo is the best lead they have ever had, and i say that after just watching the first song
True
I’m impressed.
Agreed
This line up is much better!
Nice. That was an awesome show. 3rd time I have seen Ghost, and by far their best performance.
Joe Leiss The only thing that would have made it perfect for me is if they had done Miasma. Love Papa Nihil’s saxophone solo!
Jesus Christ the audio is amazing!
jesus no......Satan is here!
I love Sodo's mini-solo at the end of the show.
He is with female backvocal
Arnaldo De Pádua she just nailed it!!
I was so excited to hear that too! Her backups are great!
Thank you for recording it. I couldn't go cuz I had to work and was super bummed I had to miss em : (
I was here and it was my first ritual! I absolutely loved it
Wow, these guys are awesome!!! I started listening to these guys on Spotify and their music is actually very good
Whoever the new guitarists are.. they are awesome
Love the tracks I've heard from Prequelle but this is the first time I heard Faith. AWESOME song, definitely my favorite so far!!! Huge Ghost fan, wasn't to big on the Cardinal Copia character at first but I'm coming around,,,lol
The Shape well, lore wise he is still in training
Fantastic recording. Too bad the crowd was "asleep".
It seemed that a lot of people there were only interested in Alice in Chains... Worked for me because I got to be closer for Ghost.
Just seeing this fantastically clear footage now! Thanks for filming this for the rest of us!
Cardinal Copia’s legs, like if u agree
And bulge *coughs*
Yes.
I'm almost positive I saw two of em..who'd of thought?!!
I was at this show (and saw the show in Port Chester earlier in the week). The closeups alone make this worthwhile, and the audio quality is so good, you can actually hear T’s pitch problems on “Rats” (I sure didn’t that night).

I’m so proud of how far they’ve come.
28:52 JESUS, that's a fast switch!
The audio is almost better than the official live stuff out on Spotify good job plus the video looks real clear excellent job
21:35
He forgot the words...bless him hahaha
Common occurrence edit* but their so fucking good i can over look it.
It's Cardinal Copa Not Papa Emeritus II , Cardinal had to learn the lyrics to carry on the bloodline
Great show! great band! thanks for sharing!
The new album is killer!
Magical. Thank you so much! 💜🇬🇧
The female backup vocals though.
Heard them about 6 months ago. Now everyday and I mean everyday I have to get my GHOST fix! Awesome video thanx for sharing!
Best performance of the night
thanks for the upload, and the amazing quality!!! I was 2nd row in Syracuse on this tour...they played 2 1/2 hours...greatest experience of my life!!! I got a few good vids, and a few good pics...but your efforts posted take me back to that night...thank you, this has been the best Ghost tour to date!!!
I was there! 🖤 my first Ritual. Thank you for capturing it with such quality
It was my first as well...loved it sooooo much
Brandon F My first as well, I didn't think I would like them, but it's turns out I did!!
I was standing next to a group who said it was their first ritual as well. Wonder if any of you guys were in that group hahaha
ESPexplorer Same. Though I was really there for STP and AIC, this was an unexpected pleasure.
I saw them with Iron Maiden last summer. It was a kick ass show.
GHOST ARE THE BEST BAND AROUND NOW. STUNNING LIVE SHOW.
This is awesome
BweeBear jb
Great THANK YOU for filming+ sharing here in this best-quality!
What a cool mask!!!
Dance Macabre was so spot on in this O: I hope they'll be as good as this when I see them in february!
13:10 cool solo!!
it is still per eriksson?
José Samuel Rodríguez Torres yes
I love everything about this band!
"ARE YOU WET ?"
Hum, yes.
lol sounds like someone is hot for the cardinal ;)
Are you not?
Marzo McCutter I told you not to touch it
I'm a heterosexual guy and even I am wet
When he asked that question my brother looked at me and said, “Yes, in more ways than one.”
Thank you so much for listing your equipment! That's a nice small portable rig you've assembled.
The new band is heavy
This is perfect, thank you.
They sound really good live.
Thank you for sharing this, dude! The audio and video quality its excellent. Thanks again.
you are awesome Yupsure2!!!!!!
That outro, total nod to Iron Maiden's (more recent) outro to live versions of Hallowed be They Name. Simply epic!
This was my 6th ritual, and still they do not dissapoint
Sounds like the old singer, just a new look. His singing, hand gestures, etc.. sounds great for sure
Does anyone actually believe that a band would deliberately have a different lead singer for each album? Singers who look and sound alike? Hell, the only reason this guy’s singing is because nobody else wanted to!
44:59 he's so cute they clench their fists♡♡
Love It! Just discovered Ghost. Love love love
21:36 Multi-Ghoul holding shit up while TF forgets the lyrics again lol
I've only heard one other person that sounds like their album version of a song so this is pretty damn awesome
Fantastic quality, I would say that since the resolution is so good, you should go into the enhancements and apply the stabilization filter to get the shake out, the quality is good enough to fix it and still be good.
Awesome Job Recording!!! Thanks for Sharing :)
Awesome post. Ghost never disappoints
Faith is my favorite song off of the new album already lol
I was there. These evil bastards were AMAZING!!
