I found Ghost completely by mistake. Was scrolling through suggestions when listening to other music and accidentally clicked on Square Hammer. At that moment my life changed in an almost ascension kind of way. You know how we all have our favorite bands but there's certain songs you'll skip to get to the "better ones?" Ghost is the only band where I find myself unable to do that. Ever. And here I thought I was gonna just watch a little of this... Ghost is next level incredible!!!
Ghost has the sheer CLASS of a band (a BAAAD band :)) that we haven't seen since Iron Maiden. Those who know Iron Maiden will know what I'm talking about. Class.
I’m with you on that one. I’ve listened to every ghost song over and over again, hundreds if not thousands of times. Yet they still give me goosebumps. I’ve never had any band have this affect on me ever.
The older you get, the harder it is to stay on top of the music scene. How could it be that this is the first I'm hearing about them. The best thing I have seen since Alice Cooper!! I'm 55 and a little behind the times. They are brilliant!!
Tobias Forge said in an interview that they were striving to be more theatrical on stage just like Alice Cooper. I am stunned that Alice Cooper is still touring.
I'm 43 and Exactly the same here. Was aware of them but never really gave them a good listen. Randomly gave them a listen and for last 2 weeks they're all I've listened to. Fantastic band with a great image and put on a hell of a show.
Proud to say I was here at this concert at the Barclays. I took my 13 year old son, we were right there up front... what an awesome show. Waiting for Ghost to come back to the Barclays or somewhere in LI, cant wait to go again!
I always loved ghost, I discovered them this year and I always listen to them on my way to school, my favourite band for sure. I'm so excited fo the new album next year I'm glad they're going back to there roots and making an album like the first one. there concert was incredible this year
Playing is a bigger venue such as Barclays Center doesn't mean they are playing to a bigger crowd. I would guess that it was at half capacity due to the whole upper tier seats were drapped off and the stage was set foward leaving the rear 1/3 of the lower bowl and floor empty. Is it more seating than the Palace Theater in Albany, NY where they also played ? Yes. Because a large number of seats weren't for sale at Barclays is misleading.
Ghost is not the band we deserved, the band we thought we wanted, the band we thought we could have, BUT the band we need. Not a fanboy or anything (yes I am)
Never hear of this band. Found them while watching some KISS shows in the upcoming video selection. Must say, I will be adding this band to my road trip list. Great band.
I had heard of them through a friend, listened to a song or two and was just like "Eh, not really my thing" but damn did that change after seeing them open for Maiden. Been listening to them obsessively ever since and just saw them a couple weeks ago. Easily one of my favorite concerts i've been too, you definitely need to see them live to get the full experience
I saw them open for Maiden at Barclay's. I thought they blew Maiden off the stage. Disgusted that I missed this show. Last time I saw them headline was in Long Island in '16.
Took my almost 8 year old to this show. It was his first rock concert. He has been listening to the music for a while. We had awesome seats and he says this was the best night ever. Can't wait to see them and Metallica in Copenhagen this summer.
@JW Stuff I used to goto Grateful Dead concerts with my parents when I was a kid. It really took me a long time for that lightbulb to come on and get into drums. My 4+5 yr olds show interest in drums, so I guess the sooner I get them into it the better.
I heard about Ghost when they were announced to be supporting Metallica in this years European tour. I am loving what I'm seeing and can't wait to see them in 3 weeks time at Slane Castle, Ireland! :)
They're almost a caricature of every kind of music and performing art . . while being quite good musically and well-produced, unlike so much of metal. It's like they're making fun of everything while being musically excellent.
First time I ever heard Ghost was on shuffle on my long ass metal playlist on Itunes. The song was the "I'm a Marionette" cover, and at first I saw a photo of Papa Emeritus II and I was kind of caught off guard, even though the music I was listening to was truly beautiful and captivated me like anything else has ever done. This was months ago...Now I'm here, with a Ghost tattoo I got yesterday in the healing process, watching this wonderful show, scared I will never see them live because of Covid. Thank you so much Tobias, you really gave me what was missing in my life! Hail Ghost!
Found out about Ghost while watching an episode of NXT. Square Hammer was one of the feature songs for one of their Takeover events, and the first time I heard it I was hooked. I grew up listening to bands such as Metallica, Guns n Roses, Motley Crue etc. I will agree that music especially rock music needed a good swift kick in the ass and Ghost has provided that kick. I have yet to experience my first ritual, but I will before it's all said and done. I simply cannot get enough of this band and I can't wait for their next album to come out and see where they evolve from here.
I saw them in El paso Texas front row their energy is so amazing and they are so much better live I cannot wait till next time to see them thank you so much for the upload
Awesome recording of the show! I was there in the nosebleeds section 120. Truly phenomenal band! 9th Ritual in the books. Thanks for uploading this awesomeness!
Never knew this band excited I’m gutted I’ve lived without them in my life ahhhhh love them there songs r so outrageous glad they used the words so confidently yes Christians take that gnosis as above so below 🤟🏻
I was at this show with 2 of my best friends. One of the best concert I have ever been to. Thank you so much for uploading this!!!! We can relive that night forever.
I just got my tickets to see them at the Broadmoore arena in Colorado Springs on Oct1, 2019. I’ll be seeing The Who at the Pepsi center on 9/30. I’m a 56 year old man whose totally lost his shit over this band. Just discovered these guys this year. Where have I been. Man are they awesome
Since were telling our Ghost stories.....I found Ghost....on UA-cam. They popped up in my feed. But not a song. No. Someone, I cant remember who, was ntroducing papa to come out and speak. Some award show or something but I don't think they were the recipients. Anyway he came out on stage and I was like what the fuck......so I had to find out what this was all about, so I played secular haze, expecting.... well, what you would expect from a metal band looking away Papa does. But I got more. Much more. But hey, enough of my yappin. Let's boogie!
I just saw them at Sonic Temple Festival a few months ago in May. I was a fan before seeing them, but NOW...I AM FREAKING OBSESSED!!! The band is so tight and so talented! And when C. Copia says "we're going to wobble your asses and tickle your t'aints"...well...hellyeah I'm in! I can't wait to see them again for their full-length show!
Ghost is just awesome, this was my first Ghost show, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Right in my town, no way I was going to miss this. I missed Ghost prior with Maiden at the same venue because I haven't given them a good listen yet. Then I did and that was it. Thanks for the upload and letting me relive this show, Hail Ghost!
The Cutting your hand part was pretty neat! I think it brightened somebody’s life! I heard Ritual when it came out I thought this is awesome and it turned out I was right!
My dad and I are seeing Ghost together in December. This is gonna be interesting. I'm sure the ending monologue before Monstrance Clock won't at all be awkward.
As a long-term fan (first saw them supporting Alice in Chains just after Infestissumum) it's awesome to see Ghost doing so well, but not at all suprising. One time when I saw them in Stockholm just after Meliora (possibly the best Ghost show ever? There's an amazing mix of video with the Swedish radio recording on UA-cam) I remember thinking "this is it. These guys will never be the same". In the sense that by then it was inevitable that they would be huge. It's rare you catch a band just before the big upswing in the curve but that was one of those times. New album is great too. Would love to see TF and MP get back together to write again in the future though - magic combination.
They had some very good recordings from... somewhere on their video for Faith/end-of-tour, but I don’t know if that means a full concert recording or not. I’d love to see one.
I've been hooked on ghost ever since I first saw the music video for Secular Haze about three years ago. At first, I thought they were absolute weirdos, but then I ended up loving the song and here we are.
I first discovered Ghost in 2013, and I wasn’t sure what they were doing. Now, it’s clear, and it’s great. Elizabeth, Year Zero, and Stand by Him are my favorites, but it’s all great music.
I saw them in at The Observatory in Santa Ana in 2013. That venue is wayyyyyyy tinier than this place. Im glad theyve become so successful and happy to have seen in such an intimate setting.
Ghost just played locally, small venue. I found them about a week later. I'd heard like 2 songs but didn't go to the show. I'm so fucking mad at myself. These guys ROCK! Plus i love how tight their pants are. Like how guys wore them in the 80's
Thank you very much for the work invested in this great upload. It was a real treat to enjoy this NYC-recording of 'A Pale Tour Named Death' in anticipation of the forthcoming european tour: Stuttgart, here I come!
Somewhat like Dave DiRienzo, I discovered Ghost purely by chance. While on a flight back from Las Vegas to London I was sat next to one of the Ghost roadies on his way to their Euro support tour with Metalica. I never got his name, but THANK YOU brother! I'm hooked!
my brother has played their tunes in his set a few times.. when he djs.. and well i am in love with this band .. my brother probably thinks to himself .. what the hell have i done lol... they do have alot of songs i do like :)
Way cool thanks! Saw them open for Maiden there. Left thinking I would have rather seen a full Ghost show with Iron Maiden opening with their 8 best songs! And I only got into them after buying the tickets and saying who’s Ghost?! Bought some of their stuff on iTunes and I was hooked!
Same here. I heard of them but never actually heard them. When I found out they were opening for Maiden I threw on their 2016 Hellfest show. I was hooked from the opening notes of Masked Ball.
No Elizabeth?!? Only complaint for me. Other than that, it's good to see a non-county, non-pop, non-edm, non-all-other-crap-out-today act fill an arena. Thanks for this upload.

In 2017 they were playing to crowds half this size. Ghost is now poised in 2019-2020 to pierce the stratosphere. And rightly so.

I discovered them around that time too. It's been pretty special to watch them grow like this.
Thank you..what a great night with a great band!!!
That transition from dance macabre to square hammer was epic. I seriously got to go to one of these shows
> be ghost
> have epic live sets
> never release a live DVD
>
> profit?
A live album, already done. Live DVD/Blu-ray? Please somebody make it happen.
They had some very good recordings from... somewhere on their video for Faith/end-of-tour, but I don’t know if that means a full concert recording or not. I’d love to see one.
Nobody buys dvs anymore so there probably wouldnät be much profit to speak of.
NostalgiNorden I'll buy the blu Ray, I think you would be surprised.
I'd buy it too. Probably most of the Ghost fans would do this :)
This band is so amazing.
I've been hooked on ghost ever since I first saw the music video for Secular Haze about three years ago. At first, I thought they were absolute weirdos, but then I ended up loving the song and here we are.
Thank You for uploading this video! Now I can always relive this night!
I first discovered Ghost in 2013, and I wasn’t sure what they were doing. Now, it’s clear, and it’s great. Elizabeth, Year Zero, and Stand by Him are my favorites, but it’s all great music.
Thanks for the full show. Much appreciated.
Hi! Cant thank you enough for your video! Watch it often as I love this band👍
I'm going to dress up as Papa Emeritus for Halloween this year, and walk around yelling "Brooklyn!!!" at little kids.
I'm forever thankful I got introduced to Ghost.
Thank you very much for the work invested in this great upload. It was a real treat to enjoy this NYC-recording of 'A Pale Tour Named Death' in anticipation of the forthcoming european tour: Stuttgart, here I come!
They sound like heavy metal live.
I gotta say.. This is pretty INCREDIBLE! Tobias does not go out of character once.
Vixinaful I’ve never seen him go out of character. Probably pretty difficult considering it’s the whole point.
You did an awesome job!! I love these guys!!
Life Eternal is quite reminiscent of Queen's "Who Wants To Live Forever", isn't it?
Sucks I'm just now getting into these guys after they played Barclay Center.
God. The amount of power that "faith" has is unbelieveable. So good.
XD He always messes up the second verse in Per Aspera ad Inferi haha
Oh my god, what a show! Really looking forward to seeing Ghost in Hannover February 2019.
Are you serious? Its fucking maiden!
@yupsure2 thanks for posting this! They had 2 shows within an hour of me and I wasnt able to make either one. Hopefully next tour!
WARNING: This band will put you in a Ghost trance and won't set you free until you devour it's entire catalog.

That performance made me pump my shaft in a vigorous manner
DUDE! Thanks but that was TMI

i almost didn’t go cause of my bronchitis and i’m sure the ppl sitting around me didn’t appreciate my coughing but i’m glad i went
OMG. I went last weekend and I had bronchitis too but I managed to not cough through most of it. I think the beer helped.
Thanks for being a vector asshole

Thanks for uploading!
What a talented young man the lead singer is.
Tobias Forge
I so wanted to go to this show but i had to work. Thank you for this upload so i can finally watch it and see what happened.
Wish they played more from opus
Thank you for this amazing video! Now I need to go to a show more than I've ever needed anything in my entire life. 😭
No one asked, but as an update I bought tickets to The Ultimate Tour Named Death the next day! 😍
No Elizabeth?!? Only complaint for me. Other than that, it's good to see a non-county, non-pop, non-edm, non-all-other-crap-out-today act fill an arena. Thanks for this upload.
schof1212 yeah but they still played Satan Prayer
Elizabeth is one of their best songs ! never heard em play that live yet !
@@ronmackay8542 They did at Hell Fest 2011
Thx for uploading this video🙏
