Cute-punk vibe reminds me of the gloomy bear era of the early 2000s. I can't picture these made in any sort of opaque resin now. Really like what you chose to keep unpainted. Just the right amount that brings things to life.
these minis are dope! the game's "secret ingredients" aspect you get from eating other units has me rubbing my hands together like a fly. i will definitely be thinking on some ideas for if i enter 👀
They look so sugary and sticky!!! 😆 Awesome paint! The system looks so cool!!! When ye pulled out the cupcake I was like, “Oh, well that’s the monster!” Hahaha!!! So fun! 🥰🥰🥰
I think this game might not be for me, but I like the designs on these figures and how you painted them. They remind me of the animated Ghostbusters of the 80's and 90's, whenever household objects or food were haunted. I also agree that there ought to be plenty of room for non-grimdark indie games as well.
This game looks fun, and the models are super cute. I think it could have had even more punch and pop, if they had been printed in clear resin, and then light tinted with various alcohol ink colours after curing. Add gloss coat, and all of those candy colours would really pop!
Thinking of turning this into my “orktober” project, one box of ardboyz would give me three snacks to mess around with. Also I like the idea of translating ork color superstition into arguing what flavor is the best. “Lemon, Cherry, or Blue Raspberry? Pick your champion!”
@@DanaHowl so there are some from great grimoire on mmf, and a smattering of others As for rules I'd need to draft them (opr has an army builder for this exact purpose)
I think the basing stones could have been made into Chiclets gum too! They're the right shape and the riot of colors, if you went with all the possible gum colors from the brand, would have been great for a game like this.
Wow- you are so talented! I love watching these models reimagined with paint. Just wondering which video or method and paint you might recommend for a newbie - I notice that your beginner videos have (outdated) beside them?
"Today we're going to paint something weird" says the woman who has an entire channel dedicated to painting tiny imaginary people fighting imaginary wars. Dang, sometimes I *love* the Internet! Thank you for posting your stuff.
Quick question about one of the models that didn't have their painting process explained in detail- the mostly translucent bear had some highlights on thr top of his face that looked really good, how did you go about that?? Normally when I try to highlight the translucent sections of some D&D miniatures it ends op looking goofy due to the opacity of the highlight
I'm a little confused by the "kit bashing" part of the contest. Do we use the STLs and augment them or can we be more free range and create something new from whatever source?
Nature is healing
if by healing you mean... turning into sugar monsters.. then yes ☺️✨🎂

Very sweet! It's always a pleasure to see something different than Warhammer.

when i saw this, the first person i thought of was Fiver. They've been doing this with warhammer stuff for ages.
YUP! and now they've got their own entire candy themed game!!!
@@DanaHowl I shall definitely be printing some of these oversized (i hate mini's, theyre too small. sorrynotsorry!)
Excellent premise for a game!

i love everything about this.
these all turned out great, but i liked the iteration of allsorts w frosting!!
Yo I know some good printers who make candy dudes and wanted to make an army of candy for OPR
Oh yeah? What are they called???!!?!

Even sweets go to war o_O - The minis and what you did to them is really great!
Fabulous job Dana. I have to admit...the cupcake monster freaked me out a bit. Very nightmarish! Lol!
Why do I want to build a smore monster 😂
You have good TASTE!

These look so fun to paint!
So close to 100k!
The tiny bear and the big muffin monster dont have any fiddly bits so they could probably turned into silicon moldes to turn them into real candy
This reminds me of the candy kingdom in the amazing digital circus
Mint Chocolate Chip is among the best flavors of ice cream to eat on a hot summer day.
These guys turned out insanely cute!
How did you do the teeth on the cupcake Colossus?

I'd love to paint things like this. No 3d printer unfortunately...
I was half listening, and heard "This is where you vore the other models" and it made me chuckle.
Great work
They look soooo yummy 😋
Delicious.
valentine candy scheme
You should do Quar! Clash of Rhyfles!
100 Years dungeon to anyone who tries to create a Lemon faction
Is there a community that collects and discusses all these interesting independent skirmish/small scale war games?

Disturbing….but….delicious! 😋

Do it josh. I believe in you. Your dreams finally realized.

Randomly, I'm hungry now 😅
delicious
18:16 Contest rules in description are missing :(
What do you mean non-grim dark table top game?! Is that allowed?
Is this a spoof on Turnip28? Looks very silly.
