That plows pretty good. You are good for any size blizzard with that tractor! $1100 bucks on amazon you can get a cab for it...or at least some model Mahindra. I wouldn't recommend it or the driveway, or at least test it in a small area, but to get through the ice I leave the regular bucket on our JD and point its edge straight down, drop it and back drag it. Ice gets ripped right up. Something about backdragging it doesn't let it jump up on top of the ice I've had to do our lots at the college like that after ice storms.
That makes sense with the ice.....It's a little uncomfortable with the backhoe attached and the trailer in the way.....I may have to fab a cab =)....I'm surprised we've used it as much as we have and really grateful it's here......
1526 manual says to idle it at 1500rpm when cold, then you can roll it back down to idle once warm. I love my 1526HST!
