- Please watch, like, and share...dedicated to the one we all know as Tilikum. This video places an emphasis on the pain and frustration Tilikum has gone through, too far from heaven to be himself. Captured in 1983, Tilikum was originally sent to Sealand of the Pacific in British Columbia. After being involved in the death of a trainer, SeaWorld bought him to be their breeder. And there in Orlando he has remained, his frustration taking two more human lives. Regardless of whether we are for or against captivity, Tilikum has captured our attention in his anguish and pain. I find it deplorable that we only start caring for others when they are suffering, or dead, and there is something we can gain from their misery. Stop exploiting animals and let our waters remain blue and free!!! Please release Tilikum into a seapen where he can live the rest of his ruined life in peace...his teeth are worn down and completely absent in the front so he'd not be able to survive on his own in the ocean.

Such an appropriate song for such a sad situation. Tilikum needs to be set free, Keiko was taught to hunt for his food and if Tilikum's Pod is found, then he has a chance ...he just misses his family..he is lost..and so utterly alone...to those who caught him..should be put into a cage and left alone..never to see their family, and loved ones again...and see how they like it. Even our prisoner's have more rights than Tilikum has. He hasn't broken any laws to deserve to be treated the ways he has been treated. My heart goes out to him. I wish I could do more for him..its so sad to see such a majestic animal in such pain and sorrow.
You are totally right everyone was sad for his.death although he was captured when he was young so he could not defend himself and in 2017 he passed R.I.P

in fact tilikum got so mad he even killed 3 people and injured 1
But what makes it worse is that after he killed brancheau they put him in solitary for a year
so i say those people are very guilty
they also are responsable for the orcas going extinct wich is very sad

There should be an authority that obligates these aquariums to give up the Orcas and dolphins and set them free in sanctuaries just the way they did it with Keiko.

Everyone needs to watch " Blackfish ". The scene where the mother whale is screaming for her baby who is has been taken from her is horrific. Humans who support this practice are despicable.

When they show the calves being taken away (Takara) Takara was already 13 and the whales they show are not the whales they are talking about like when they are talking about Katina being a quiet whale and they showed the orca vocalizing THAT WAS NOT HER Katina had a tilted dorsal and that dorsal was Straight the whale wasn't even Vocalising they did a mirror test on the whales to see how they would react

It is NOT false. So what if she was 13? Kasatka and Takara were very close, practically inseparable. They had no right to separate them. Kalina was only four when they took her from her Katina. That's inexcusable. Not only did they take Kalina from her mother, they took all of her calves from her as well. I'm so sick of pro-captivity fanatics and their lies.

It's heartbreaking to know he deserved a better life with his family, now it's too late. This is really hard to accept, I just hope there is hope for the other whales as too much death and sadness has gone on, sometimes nature needs to be left alone.

Oh gosh, Tilikum really went through so much hell in his life. He was taken from his pod at the age of one almost two! And was put in a pool for our entertainment, we humans are so cruel. R.I.P Tili, you are at peace now, and that’s all that matters.❤

I know that we cant let him out free in the wild, but sadly I think thats what he dreams about. I dont think he have forgotten the time he was free before he was captured around Iceland, he clearly thinks about that all day long all of his 32 years in capitivity. Maybe it would be worth letting him out in the wild for, he might die, or probably, but he would actually die happy. Im crying so hard, I really cant make much of a big difference for him or any orca but Im trying my best for these beautiful creatures 💕

Obviously Tillikum can't be set into the wild. But this doesn't mean he can't be freed. And not only him the other Orca's should be freed as well and SeaWorld and every other place that keeps animals in capivity should be closed. Why is this cruelty accepted by humans?

Have any of you heard Tilikum’s skeleton will be displayed in the Orlando Skeleton Museum? Kanduke’s is there now. They will not display it for a long time tho because of the controversy surrounding Tilikum. I heard that on the Orca Network Facebook a while back but haven’t heard anything again. Anyone know anything?

Thoughts of Tilikum bring much sadness. Instead of letting him go to a safe water pen near ocean, They hung on to him for a year in solitude and misery, knowing his fate. They would not let him go because then the whole world would know what they did to him. So they hid it from the public with stories and lies. SHUT THE DOORS OF SEA WORLD!!

Look it sucks for the whales because they are very intelligent and don't deserve to be kept in captivity. But please do some research other than watching Blackfish and think you're an expert. They can't just be freed. Research Keiko and see that yes you can "semi" rehab one to live in the wild but they will ultimately seek out humans in the end. They are social animals and become very socially awkward from having limited interaction with other whales. They'll seek out humans for companionship eventually. There's also a concern that they may bring bacteria to the wild that not only exists in captivity. If freeing these ones puts the pods in the wild in jeopardy then it isn't even worth it. It's very sad but the ones in captivity will have to just be the examples that this should not be going on anymore. Stop breeding and stop catching them so that one day the only Orcas in the world will be in the wild.
I have written school theses on this topic and have done plenty of research outside of Blackfish to base my opinion around, I hate when people assume otherwise. If you read the description, I state that Tilikum can't be completely released (worn down teeth, other health problems) but that doesn't mean he can't be placed in a seaside sanctuary where he can still be cared for and where he can live in his natural environment - the ocean. And there are cases of captive dolphins being released successfully (and I'm not just talking about Keiko). Look it up.
In fact, I became involved in this issue several years before Blackfish even came out. I'm not claiming I'm an expert, but I have researched this topic thoroughly.
