    People wonder why I love LOTR so much. To me its funny that when some people watch movies, thats all they see. But i'm sure some of you will agree that movies help guide you through in your tough times in life, that beyond the naked eye, there's a metaphor for what it conveys. My favorite scene of all time was captured in LOTR the fellowship of the rings... In this scene where the fellowship was broken. No different from me losing my friends throughout my life. Many left, and a few stayed around but there's always that one who never gave up on you....Thanks to Tolkein and Peter Jackson. This movie will inspire many more generations to come...

      My favorite part of LOTR is the friendships and loyalty that the characters had for each other...that even through the darkest times each character had their friends back. And this scene exemplifies that.

      +Thee Engineer LotR has indeed a very deep and in my opinion even religious meaning to it which is only revealed to people with open eyes and blessed souls. To me it is far more than just a movie. It´s like a gift from heaven.

    I still can't get over how good these films are. I clicked this video just to hear how the orchestra sounded and I couldn't stop watching the movie.

      They were probably clapping for the end of the movie instead of the performance but I agree that they shouldn’t have.

    I am 15 and I feel like I'm pretty much the only girl in my age who truly loves this trilogy. I've watched it 10 (I was 5 or 6) years ago for the first time (Ofc. I couldn't really understand it but after the years I watched it again and again) and the soundtracks remind me of my childhood and that makes me cry so much. I'm really thankful for everybody who worked on that trilogy and I am so glad I watched it so early.

    why is there no professional recording of an orchestra performing LOTR, i find that disgraceful, these soundtracks are masterpieces.

      There is! Its called "The Lord of The Rings Symphony". This was made by Howard Shore and the 21st century symphony orchestra from switzerland. This is the orchestra that virtually "invented" the live performances of major motion pictures and, for example, performed the world premieres of Lord of the Rings. They work very closely with Howard Shore. By the way, also in this video the conductor of this orchestra is conducting.

    The Holy Bible was the inspiration for one of the most beautiful sagas I've ever seen. Thank you Lord and Tolkien! ♥♥

      I'm sorry for pounding on your beliefs but Tolkiens LOTR was not an allegory of the Holy Bible. He uses much of the Norse, Anglo Saxon myths and names such as the Norse Gods Vanir and Aesir. Tolkeins Valar were all variations of these Gods.
      I don't believe there is any Bible parallels in the books/movies. In fact, Tolkein focused a lot on pagans in the Silmarillion. I think the thing that really inspired him was wwii, which he fought in. Many fans believe that Tolkein based Saruman on Hitler. ( The Voice of Saruman= Charismatic Orater Hitler)

      Well, Joyce. I say this because there is a Father in a country that explains the relationship between Tolkien's characters and Biblical characters. He explained that Tolkien was influenced by the Bible stories because he was the son of the Priest and his son also became priest. And I do not say that The Lord of the Rings has something religious. But, I mean, who read and study the Holy Bible every day like I do perceives many similarities. I do believe that Tolkien was inspired by the great biblical stories. The video explains that the priest Tolkien and the Bible relationship is in Portuguese and I dont know if you understand. Thanks for responding. ♥♥

      SANDRA BLAKE Well, there are many ways we can interpret LOTR and we will never know what Tolkein TRULY meant for it whether it be Christianity or World Warsor Industrialization. Though I must admit one thing, Tolkein was known to be a devout Catholic. His story of Beren and Luthien was based on his own forbidden love story between his Protestant wife- whos father forbidden their marriage, and himself.

      I cordially dislike allegory in all its manifestations, and always have done so since I grew old and wary enough to detect its presence. I much prefer history, true or feigned, with its varied applicability to the thought and experience of readers. I think that many confuse 'applicability' with 'allegory'; but the one resides in the freedom of the reader, and the other in the purposed domination of the author

      Hi. There was no mezzanine so I bought the cheapest seats (up on the main floor,) but as the concert wasn't sold out we got upgraded.

      +Retriever The song itself is called In Dreams and it's a part of The Breaking of the Fellowship in the official soundtrack. In the soundtrack, this comes before May It Be. In the film and in the complete recordings, the songs are in the same order as in this video.       It's still "the breaking of the fellowship". Actually, the original version of that track continues with that part, but in the live show they follow the movie, so they immediately start with "may it be", as the film finishes. Just search the entire studio version and you'll find by yourself ;)

    Why is the the fellowship of the ring playing in the background, It's way too loud. Very distracting. I'd be very upset if I paid to listen to and watch an orchestra but instead ended up with a movie.

      Hello do you even understand the point of this concert or are you just dumb? Lol. They play the movie in the background with no audio soundtrack, it's the orchestra that you pay to go see that plays the soundtrack EXACTLY how you see it in the movie.
