  • A little piece of the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad from 1940!!! An 82 year old stand handbook with rules and other important information. A lovely collectable piece that touches right back to a historic time and place, which I bought on eBay for $15!!!

What a nice, unique rule book. Old books have a warmth and a nice turn of the page. Cup of tea and some good reading. I seen the ending. Always watch the whole videos.

They do indeed, looking through it just like someone else did many years ago, it's like being in touch with history.
      Great. Thank you!

In the British Army one was mustered out where they served and the soldier had to earn their way home. The expression used “Working your ticket!”

Interesting. Not really fair, I think, but interesting. 👍

Very gentle and relaxing video. Love the wall art and your loco collection displayed on lit shelves.

Thanks, I love those pictures. They came from AllPosters.com which was a fantastic source of pictures and art, with choices of size and mounting options. Sadly, they retracted their business to being USA only a couple of years ago.

So Simon you need to email the Colorado Railroad Museum and see if they have any Jeffrey spikes. You should get one for your collection. They were used on Narrow Gauge railroads in Colorado. It is a double headed spike so it could be pulled and reused. Part of the mystic. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Oh I think I saw about those some time ago. Cool! I'm actually looking into visiting Colorado next year, (hopefully!!! 🤞🤞).
The two spikes I have there: one is from the Golden Spike site, and the smaller one is from the 'Death Railway' in Thanbuzhat, Burma (Myanmar). My Grandad's brother, sadly, was laboured into building that railway by the Japanese in WW2 and died out there. My family visited the area some years ago.

I guessed. However, my huge rule book, I'm expected to carry that with me whenever I'm on duty! It takes up half my foot plate bag 😂
