- Time to show us what you've got! Deep ripping with a 10 shank Zone-Builder Subsoiler by Unverferth. We are excited to see the results of this in the 2021 crop. And with the new Optitrac tires by Titan Tires we expect greatly improved traction.
And just when we thought we had it all figured out our fertilizer showed up with a random load of gravel!

To the welker family, I am a maintenance tech at Unverferths at the kalida plant in Ohio, to be able to see our products that I watch be built everyday, make their way out into the world and preform the way we intend, is truly mind blowing, thanks for the kind words about our products we produce for you all!
Bob's BIG grin said it all. He enjoys ripping rocks... especially in the Bud! Thanks Nick for the list of benefits and the con. Thanks Unverherth!
LEGARMS!!!! Great to see you back on videos!
You spoil us with those drone shots, love it! :) Thanks!
Great to see Big Bud still going after all these years pulling modern equipment and with addition of modern technology adapted to it. Big Bud engineers should be proud of this. Old tractor outdoing new ones.Love watching them working in fields.
Glad to see you all safe and well working together. God bless your families
There's allot to be said about the new equipment coming out these days, but that 600 bud is absolutely gorgeous
Old Iron is amazing. Keep using it, fix it yourself. #righttorepair , less computers to complicate things..
i wish some would actually start making these again that ne awsome
@@cherbert359 can't do it due to EPA unfortunately
You should cross rip it due to the spacing on since it has never been done before. Do a test plot and see if there is any difference from just doing it one direction. Pick your knownest dry spot on the farm and do a small test area to see if there is a difference. Just a thought! Would be interesting to see if it would or not!
And how can you not love that engine
Nice to u all at work.... And very nice to see Legarms back in business again
I love the awesome Image of the Bud pulling that mighty Deep Ripper.
Great to see Legarms easing back into action. Great video.
Great to see Scott back!!

My goodness!!! I forget how much better video quality and cinemaphotography you have over everyone else. It literally gives me goosebumps at times with that epic music. What a joy to watch you guys getting back to normal, it's been a rough patch, so glad to see you coming out the other end of it, faith stronger, life growing, and family tighter. God Bless the Welkers.

Employee of the month! I love it!
Good to see you back in action Leg Arms.
Hi. We have a bunch ground in northwest Oklahoma that was conventionally farmed since the 20's. We switch over to notil about 12 years ago. We started ripping a quarter of it each year with a Great Plains unit; it has helped so much production, you can see the areas that have been ripped contrasting the non-ripped ground. This fall we start to rip the ground re-ripped 4 years ago.
That’s just great to see you out in the tractor leg arms relly glad to see ur healing up good!
Big Buds rock!
Hey guys thanks for the great video, love seeing the Bud at work. Great to see Scott out and about, hope the arm heals up good take care and stay safe 👍
I have to say its great to see leg arms back in action and in more videos glad to see your doing better!
Awesome to see it put to good use.
Its always awesome to show off equipment but that new bud 600 really stands out above the others. Shes a thing of beauty and very strong to get the job done as long as she stays running.

You guys are awesome and have some awesome scenery sunsets
That is an absolutely ridiculous awesome ripper. I finally got to see the big bud doing some deep tillage lol and ya'll are going to reap the benefits and that is awesome. God bless you guys
Love the Big Bud
Awesome machines. So happy to see leg arms healing very well.
another great video, Deep ripping always produces a great workout for the rock-o-matic.
Oh man I love that big bud!! Another positive thing when youre tearing up the ground is that oxygen will have a better access to the soil, which will help the new plants in spring to grow better. Love all youre vids btw👍🏻👍🏻
Good to see you back Leg Arms...
I love the way that you 'bounce around'. Just like here!
Good to see LegsArm back in the field!
Saw Bob and knew there'd have to be a pun soon to follow..."catatstrophy" with the cat litter...and then, rockin' his field work....LOL
Online school lunch break. Always look forward to watching these on my hardest day which is Wednesday

Thank you...
Great to see Leg Arms !!
I see Scott, and his fingers are moving! Yay! Not crippled, Scott, healing!
Love the Dad quote about cat litter preventing a catastrophe. *giggle*
Didn't know that about hard pan, and your part of the world being a former sea bed.
All together an interesting video. Thanks.
Welcome to rock land. Here in iowa our ground my dad has is mostly gravel, we rock pick every year. Cultivate/soilsave, disk, plant, spray weeds, rock pick all sumer, harvest, roll beans, V-rip borders and hilltops, spread fertilizer fall/spring, spread lime fall if needed, fix equipmentand store for winter.
Glad you deep ripping. We use to use a three disk plow to do that. My vote is you will like it! I’d cross rip that alkaline place
Big Bud seems to pull it well too.
Hope filters and tranee gets fixed
Enjoyed. LegArms good to see you back at it and healing well!!!!
Awesome
A big ol big bud runnin a big ol ripper. Gotta love it
We tend to do tillage on most of our ground here in Michigan . We found that notill farming works but not for long term . So we notill for 2 years and then on the 3rd year we run our johndeere 2730 ripper across the fields . We run a vertical tillage disk on corn stalks and soybean stubble to chew up the residue but yet still leave the soil minimally disturbed. With soybeans we get a 5 to 10 bushel yield increase by doing tillage . The hard pan stops moisture and roots . You guys will probably conserve moisture by deep ripping those fields. Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
Awesome, you boys have all the toys 👍
Awesome machine setup! Always love the puns. They put a smile on my face. Thanks Welkers!
Dad is the pun master!
Great Vlog, Interesting to see the guy with a random load of gravel turn up. the ripper looks great, what an amazing machine. thanks
That ripper looks awesome, that’s some set up ya have indeed. 🤜🤜🤜🇬🇧🇺🇸
Great to see Big Bud in action!!!! Rock On!...and yes I know Rocks can be cat-a-strafic!
Thank you!
Welker Farms check out this video from Australia - ua-cam.com/video/MWe0l6UrfDs/v-deo.html seem to have similar soil and crop growing conditions that you have and they show the benefits they have seen from Deep Ripping
Looks like them tires are hooking up pretty good.
Good to see the big 600 getting a workout
Thats an awesome tractor. Thanks for sharing. God bless
Like your background music. I remember singing it at church. I think it was "Awesome God" or something like that. Thanks brother.
Thanks for the video. Lots of variety today. Lots of extras to do with your with bins getting your order in the bin. Understand stuff that eats metal. Nice to have old auger to use. Extra gravel-ya!!! The big bud appears to handle that ripper very well. Assume those new tires are a huge plus. Great. Nice field equipment you are using there. Really digs into the ground. Hope big buds transmission is ok. Thanks for this video and your time. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
What an awesome ripper.
That ripper is something else !!
Absolutely brilliant sub soiling
Thanks for your awesome videos. These help my mojo with this funky pandemic!!!
Hang in there! Don't let this madness get you down!
Leg arms! Glad to see you in good spirits buddy...💪✌
So cat tastic! Enjoy watching greatness in action. Stay safe.
10:30 golden hour 🔥
Love to watch ur videos .big luv from India
Great the compaction will be deeper now 👌
Nothing like a deep ripper for finding rocks. The good thing about fracturing the soil is the roots go down which helps the plant but also puts organic matter deeper in the soil helping to deepen the topsoil layer
I hope that ripper makes a positive difference for next year! The 600 is looking great! Take care and God bless!
Good video, nothing like BIG BAD BUD in action.👍
Scott’s arm leg looks to be healing very well! Great to see! Love the bud action! What a lil rippa! 🤣 #ripwelkers
I am from India, Punjab and I love your farming
That Awesome tractor under that pretty sky is just beautiful. You get some amazing shots, and that was nothing less. God Bless, I hope leg arms is recovering smooth!
Good idea
Here in Illinois our rippers are set on 30” spacing. We pull a 9 shank case 2500 with case Steiger 550hd. We have found old farm foundations that we never knew was there.
Rockin the field work! LOL I love it! 🤣🤣
Love your videos
Awesome Video!!
Bustin'
Deep Sub Soiling is one of the BEST ways to improve your fields. From experience, I would do every acre you own!
Great video awesome to see leg arms and your dad in the video keep up the great work great to see the video
Very cool seeing the Big Bud and the ripper. It was great watching the Tractor pulling the ripper from behind the barn--like ta-da! here I am! And Bob, those puns are pretty "cat"ostrophic! lol! keep em coming!
Great stuff
HA nicks arms getting bigger lately since scott down to one arm LOL good to see everyone seems to be in good spirits, that helps.
Did I just get a Hollywood ad on a Welker video?! Wicked
Hey it's good to see you Leg Arms up and about. You look like you're doing good.
Great video!!
Give the blue Pete some love please. A great old motor, deserving of some tlc and maybe some customisation 🙂
hello everyone, it is important to be under the ground given the weight of the big buds or harvesters, in Normandy, we also under the ground a lot, especially the wheel arches of the sprayer every year and the whole plot if necessary. there, the bud is very busy, thank you for this beautiful video
