First of all my condolences to you,on loosing your sister. My story is of a friend of mine, went in for gastric bypass. She never woke up from surgery. She passed away , while in hospital. I think of her quite often. May information such as this video, make people realize the dangers. May you find some peace, from sharing your story .
I have been contemplating having a gastric bypass. These comments have made me double think it. Thank you and I am sorry for the losses of your loved ones ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Even the tattooing licencing is questionable. In the uk they just look for running water and that's it. The one I worked in had mould growing in the sterilisers and the ironic part? Environmental Health would use them to train new staff!
I'm a licensed cosmetologist in the States and had to go through a five day training course to do permanent makeup in 2016. You have to retouch your permanent makeup every two years as well. It's expensive if the technician is experienced. Every country has different codes and regulations. In California your working under your Cosmetology license. It's another skill you can utilize. But always do your own homework. Outweigh risks vs benefits.
Here in Belgium every tattoo artist needs a certificate that they have undergone an official hygiene test in which they show they know the correct hygiene rules of tattooing. There is also regular check ups with tattoo shops to see if rules are being followed. My own tattoo artist has a drawer full of documents and on every paper the customer signs and gives consent to be tattooed, but he also writes down all the ink names and a description of the tattoo, this is apparently mandatory in the case of an allergic reaction or issue with the tattoo that is related to the ink. Bearing this information in mind, it is so hard to believe that my tattoo artist follows more rules than those ghost doctors at shady plastic surgery establishments.
Agree! But at the end of the day unless you are getting paid for the looks - who cares !? I like how Pamela Anderson and many other celebrities are ditching makeup yea they can get expensive facials but save money from surgery and take care of the skin
I, as a woman in my mid 70s, find it very sad that people are so unhappy with their bodies, or feel they need to keep up with latest trend. I always had a big bum when it was not the in thing. My reply to anyone who remarked on it was, "Well, it’s all behind me!" I was never at the front of the queue for beauty but I am happy with myself and accept who I am.
@@Denise-yj3se I find this sad but do understand it. My sister had a large nose with a big bump in it. She wouldn’t have surgery because she was worried about what people would say. Eventually she did have rhinoplasty. She worked as a dental nurse, when people saw her with bruising and swelling she just said she’d broken her nose. People who she hadn’t seen in a while remarked something was different and thought it was her new hairstyle. A girl who worked with me had half her face covered in a port wine birth mark. I thought she would have a chip on her shoulder but she didn’t at all. She did get extensive laser treatment which removed a lot but, some places it was to deep. She had a brilliant outlook about it all. Occasionally she would be asked about it - usually by children and she answered them honestly. The only time I saw her upset over it was when a random woman said she would pray for her as it was 'the mark of the devil,' Needless to say, I told the woman that she was an ignorant baitch.
@@Foxhunter49I have a big port wine on my right shoulder. And the skin almost looks see through. Changing for gym or going swimming was terrible because people always thought it was an open wound and I constantly had to explain myself. I was aware that some children had it on their faces and I know how lucky I am. I have a tattoo on the other shoulder and an artist once asked if I didn't want him to give me something to cover it. I said, no, that's part of who I am. I also wore Forest Gump polio braces and special shoes for years because of an extreme pigeon toe. I got bullied for that, even by some teachers. By high school, I was a 3 sport athlete, so the bullies could f off. I am glad I was of the first generation after the feminist movement and my parents rarely talked about how me and my sister looked. We were pushed for academia. When I was in my 30s, I considered a breast reduction and lift, just because I was tired on hauling DDD around. But my then sister in law showed me hers before she got her stitches out and I said, nah. ❤ To everyone and our regular bodies.
@@tanjakaiser6452 they are so beautiful. I don't understand it. My generation had eating disorders. I guess they have money so they are doing plastic surgery. I want to tell all women, you look how you are supposed to look, like a unique woman.
I used to work in a hospital as an accountant. The surgeons offered the staff procedures on time payment and discount, I took no part in it. I noticed that although many of the doctors had small breasts, was overweight and had receding hairlines, none of them had any procedures done on themselves. THAT, told me something.
Same. I went to a specialist about menopausal hair loss- she had extremely thin hair. Thankfully I didn’t take the meds and my hair’s grown back. Procapil worked for me.
@@alexanderreynolds6018-- Have you ever heard of many botched surgeries, by surgeons never taking time off, working many hours straight every day, which caused their patients harm? If they refused to take time off, because of money, what time would they enjoy, that wealth? It is not about the money, like your obvious feelings., it is about the superficialities they have discovered among people for perfection. They know, and have seen the risks, of people dying from simple procedures. One pharmacist, [RIP] went in for simple goiter surgery, and never woke up, to name one.
@@deidradahl2802 pardon where exactly did I say that doctors shouldn't take time off to rest, recuperate, and live their lives that's a world of difference to taking time off to recover from a cosmetic surgery
@@alexanderreynolds6018- It is not '''a world of difference'' The time off to recover from plastic surgery, going on vacation, just living their lives amounts to the same time. Your position is about the money. ''If you were making as much as a plastic surgeon you wouldn't take the time off to recover from surgery.''' My position is, for them it is not about the loss of income, it is about the unnecessary risks, they are not willing to take.
I had a breast reduction a few years ago. I was a 36 JJ. They took 6 out 9lbs off my chest. I LOVED my body the way it was but I had constant horrible pain that I don’t have to deal with anymore! Grateful I had a great surgeon that did a wonderful job! Sad that no everyone received the same treatment!!
That’s wonderful to hear ❤ the woman’s story on here was heartbreaking. It seems like she was doing it for the right reasons and had realistic expectations too.
I would love to have a reduction done aswell!! But Im afraiddddd.....tbh.....the boobs are 'killing' meee!!! I hate them..absolutely hate them....I have DD ...they re too big. Im doneee with them
I'm a good candidate but I can't find a surgeon who will do it with my insurance covering it. I suppose it seems only right if they can have patients pay $14K, why should they accept less than 10% of that amount from the insurance companies. I still need to contact the medical school to see if they'll do it.
PS: I realise that in certain cases cosmetic surgery is medically indicated and essential. I have no problem with that, but living in South Africa and being acutely aware of millions of poverty stricken people who cannot even afford to have cateracs removed, the craziness of indulging in non-essential cosmetic surgery is mind baffling.
What do you spend your money on? I don’t agree that what any one person decides to do personally like that is an issue. The issue you are speaking on is failure of government, and the greed of the 1%. And, even if it is purely cosmetic, if it makes them feel better, that is good for their health (unless botched).
The first girl with the horrible brows was PERSONAL😂 That tech hated that girl for some reason, or she was on some heavy drugs. No sane or sober person could have EVER thought those brows were anywhere near the realm of "fine"
right?? I feel like I could give a 12 year old girl the tattoo machine, and she would do better than this "artist" did. This technician had beef with this poor lady
Happy to see your comment, that's what I was thinking, too. Because I'm too afraid to have cosmetic procedures, I couldn't do it unless it was absolutely necessary. When I went with my daughter for a mani - pedi, I think that the woman who did my pedicure had a grudge against Caucasian people. She was so rough, I had four ingrown toenails from it. I kept telling her she was hurting me, she only smiled at me & I KNOW she understood English. I tried to get out of the chair without making a scene, she wouldn't let me, squeezing my ankle so hard, she bruised it. My daughter & I live very far from each other, only visit once per year. I wanted to have quality time with her. That's why I didn't make a scene in the salon.
In my humble opinion, we need to start at the beginning with babies and children. We need to support and teach them to accept, and appreciate themselves. To respect themselves as unique individuals. We need to stop competeing them against one another.
Parents also need to stop speaking badly of themselves in front of their children, especially with mothers and daughters. If a girl grows up constantly hearing her mother say how fat and ugly she finds herself, the girl will be much more likely to pick herself apart too.
Minha mãe me colocou no ballet, aos 4 anos, com 12 anos fui pro jiu-jitsu brasileiro, com meus irmãos, e hoje, aos 19, tenho elegância, e suporte de auto segurança!
I agree, however that can even go awry. I doted on my eldest daughter, taught her everything I could, loved her, gave firm loving discipline. She, now, has over inflated self esteem.
I am a man and I had gynecomastia. I had breast basically and I was always made fun of it so I went for the surgery when I was 26. It changed my self esteem for the best!

The lady with the massive lip should never be sent home from the emergencyroom! She needed monitoring to watch for "compartment syndrome" and tissue dying. 😮
The staff were angry that she has done this to herself, a cosmetic procedure she'd paid for. Seriously. In hospital after an attempted suicide, I was treated horribly. On another night she might have gotten lucky with a better consultant. As I did on my second attempt. The lesson here is if you go to A&E and they kick you out. Go back again. @@freewithnature
I've had terrible eyesight since childhood requiring corrective lens to leave my house even. I've been asked a hundred times why I don't get Lasik and to them I say, "You do know that there's a small percentage of patients who's procedure doesn't go well? I don't want to be in that group." I work in the medical field and not every surgery is a success. I think that because the outcome is USUALLY positive, people forget that it's still risky and do your research before you go under the knife for ANYTHING.
I think I am the last person in my town that wears glasses. About 15 years ago I had a talk with a woman that said it took her three years to almost fully get over the bad effects of Lasik. She said she was probably in a minority of people that had all the bad effects. But I know what my luck is like. So, I am still wearing glasses. She said it was *probably* going to be worth it. I think she wanted to be more attractive partly for dating and she was a minor politician. But she was 50 years old when I talked with her.
Truth. Many years ago as a cardiac nurse I took care of a lovely 72 year old woman. She had a heart cath. Turns out she had no blockages. On the consent form it says "possibility the cath can puncture the heart." Yes, it can, and she had to have open heart surgery to repair it. Because somebody has to be in the 10% that can go wrong. I see fine with my glasses. And since my risk is blindness I don't want to be in the 10% where something serious happens.
My sister had breast reduction. Her breasts were so big her insurance covered it. She had back and shoulder pain. But she did thorough research on the Dr she chose and even asked to speak to several of his patients. Her breasts, 20 yrs later, still look fantastic. Feel so sorry for that lady.
Same here only I paid for it myself. I used a surgeon who was the best in the area and after seeing me the day after the operation he was on his way to London to give a lecture. Years later I had an operation on my eyes (lens replacement surgery) by one of the best eye surgeons in the world.
My daughter had to get that done when she was 14 years old. What's crazy is she had to leave the state to go to another state because they said in the state I live it's illegal to do cosmetic surgery on someone under 18. But for her it wasn't cosmetic it was pain
Same, I had 2.5lbs of breast tissue removed and went from DDD cup to a full C….Im 5’6! My bras used to dig into my shoulders and I always had sweat rashes and clogged pores under them smh I was a D cup in the 9th grade….thanks mom 😂 🧬
I wanted to have plastic surgery done on my breasts but my husband said "no way". His eyes teared up as he reminded me of when a friend of his had lost his wife due to complications of liposuction. He added he was scared something would happen to me and that I did not need to worry as he appreciates that I exercice, keep myself in shape and dress well, that he loves me the way I am and there's no need to go under the knife. I was set on going ahead with the procedure but after I saw his reaction I decided to forget about it 🤷🏼♀️.
@@thebelissima64are you sure? So even if you were on a desert island with no other people, somehow you’d still want your breasts sliced open and reshaped?
I'm struggling to accept my post-breastfeeding breasts - i breastfed for 2 years. These stories really put me off surgery. But that 'empty sacks' look is really getting me down
I've had that done! I have 'dry eyes' which constantly cause tears to stream down my face. If I tried putting on makeup, I looked like a panda in reverse. Without it, I had just blotched skin around my eyes. The eyeliner tattoo is awesome. Always ready to go out the door and my skin can be treated as it should be. A little coconut oil does wonders to curb the irritation and my makeup still stays on ;-) . It was the best birthday present I ever gave myself. Because my eyeliner is hardly noticeable, it looks very natural. And I look more awake and happy.
I’ve been doing my brows for years. l definitely told the first person who did it that we understood we were tattooing my face and couldn’t screw it up. 😂 I would 100% do it again.
3 years ago, I paid privately for gastric bypass after getting to 18st in weight; I went to Lithuania on my own, and since then have lost 10st, I am on anti-sickness tablets daily and have been for 2 years and suffer from Tachycardia episodes daily. It is not worth the risk, especially going abroad and not receiving proper information and post-op care. I was left to inject myself with the anticoagulant injections for 4 days after coming home from the clinic. I have no strength and require B12 injections for the rest of my life. It has made me so severely unwell and insecure of my own body. PLEASE do your research and ensure you are made aware of the potential risks and side effects, and make sure you deal with the psychological problems you may have associated with the surgery you wish to have done.
Dang girl!! My thyroid took a 💩 on me (hypothyroid) and I quit weighing myself when I hit 225 pounds. I was still gaining. Fortunately!!!!! I had an opportunity to see a different doctor who told me, just by looking at my double chin, that I should have my thyroid checked! Damned if he wasn't right! My worthless doctor was given the boot! Got an awesome naturopathic doctor now who I totally LOVE! Oh and he helped me drop the weight without surgery! I switched from sugary drinks to water. And got a job at fedex! All those 3rd floor apt deliveries and I dropped the weight super fast!!! Forced exercise. Plus I do a lot of fasting. Quit fedex, people are vile!! More than sad that women are still so insecure. Eventually its all going to go no matter WHAT you do. Find the BIGGER meaning to life.... get started NOW...... Women can START by letting their hair go Grey..... work with your attributes- OWN who you are !
It's not about the procedures, in reality. Unless it's surgery to correct a deformity or after a catastrophic accident or injury. The problem, for many people is more psychological than it is vanity.

The one with the lips swollen and necrosing said, " and worse, I could've looked like that forever" but she might not have had long to look like that because she could have been dead from septicemia.
Omg I thought the same thing. Like girl - dummy - no. You weren't gonna look like that. You were going to go blind, and your lips would've gone fully necrotic and fallen off from lack of blood flow.
Yeah, I can't believe the girl with the lip filler had to wait 5 days to get help. That is just mind-boggling to me. I can only imagine her looking in the mirror every hour trying to make sure her lips aren't getting bigger or turning black. Plus the pain on top of it 😢. Then the guy with a hair transplant he's had 5 or 6 total surgeries. You would think after the first or second one he would have done more research and to stop doing the same things that hasn't worked the first 2x 😒.
Surgeons and other physicians don't like touching the bad outcomes of other surgeon's work... it's a legal liability issue. Doctors don't want to be sued for the bad surgical procedure outcomes from OTHER doctors.
Glad she sent her to the hospital instead of saying ' dont worry about it' I had a nail client who came to me from another technician that destroyed her fingernail. She said while the woman was drilling she felt something stabbers in the cuticle and the pain continued instead of the woman saying if you feel that way please go to the ER she told her don't worry about it few days later she was so infected she lost her fingernail.
I haven’t worn nails in over a year because I went somewhere I normally didn’t go…. They infected 2 of my nails. My nails grew out eventually but I still haven’t gone back to get my nails done since sept 2022.
I don’t let nail techs prep my nail bed now. They’re way too aggressive and don’t give a fuck about destroying the nail bed. Anytime I told them “it’s too hot!” Or “ouch! That hurts!” Which it SHOULD NEVER ~ they would ALWAYS get annoyed with me telling me “it won’t last long” I’m like!? I don’t care!? I care about not being in pain!? Also, it can last long, if they did ONE swish over the nail instead of back and forth and back and forth, all that needs to be done is to irritate the surface of the nail so the product has something to grip onto, NOT shaving away the entire fucking nail!? What the fuck does that achieve!? Tbh it strikes me as genuinely stupid, like cognitive impairment to do that

WHY??? This is completely insane. I've had medical surgery three times. Been in a lot of pain each time. Why on earth do people go through that for absolutely no reason???
In 1983, at age 26, I had my large bowel removed, not a cosmetic procedure but the surgeon was clearly out of his depth. I needed 12 surgeries that year to repair fistulas and other problems. 5 of those surgeries involved me flying to Melbourne from Tasmania, leaving my 3 children under 4 years old with grandparents and friends. 41 years later I am still suffering from that first surgery. Ten years ago I lost all but 4 foot of my small bowel. I haven’t been able to eat for the last 8 years - I live on hospital formula and Hydralyte. I’m needing IV fluids twice a week. I stopped counting surgeries a few years ago when I got to 130 anaesthetics. In those days we didn’t have specialist surgeons. I’m in palliative care and have only has one year in that time without at least two surgeries. However, I did get to see my children grow up, fortunately. I’ve had an ileostomy bag for 41 years now so I understand how plastic surgery can maim someone.
Being someone who was involved in a serious car accident at 13 years of age and going through the windscreen of it car i cannot understand how people ,adults go through these procedures without realising its major surgery or dangerous. I endured seriously facial scarring and blindness in one eye and had many operations as a result, but that was necessary to try and regain some normality to my face, i certainly would never have any of these procedures done for vanity because its dangerous. Im grateful to have managed to have my scarring heal and operated on over many years . Please think seriously about having anything done to your body i know how devastating it is to loose your identity in an accident but to go and have procedures done by people who have no proper training would devastate a person and all self inflicted.

Such empathy for you all. When i was 60 my eyebrows turned faded grey. As a St George city girl i lucked out . Microblading was fairly new at the time but i lucked out. I searched online, read the positive reviews but still went to meet her in person. She was an RN, had a very sterile and clean process and they were beautiful for 2 yrs as promised. I've never got them redone as she quit doing these and after hearing stories like these, i just paint them on each morning. So sorry to those of you that especially had necessary procedures, even if experiencing lack of body confidence. Prayers for the victims and for asking those seeking vanity only surgeries to pray for themselves 😂 🙏 My beautiful 39 year old daughter struggled with back pain, ill fitting clothes and was so self conscious of how large they were as compared with her tiny body. She had a beautiful breast reduction and was so happy with everything. Sadly, she passed away unexpectedly from non related issues. I have that special memory of her happiness in those last months. She could actually wear modest clothes and enjoy 8 months of no back pain. ❤😇

Yeah surely that's negligent as she could've lost her lip at any point. To send her back to the person that caused such grievous injury is inexcusable.
The girl with the lip story is extremely pretty, and I don’t see anything wrong with her lips. It’s amazing someone was able to restore her lips without any permanent damage or terrible scarring.
I didn’t have plastic surgery but I did have back surgery. The Doctor damaged my sciatic nerve. I am now left with 24/7 pain from the back to my big toe. This has developed into Arachnoiditis, meaning my nerve endings, when looked at under microscope it appears like a spider web. Before the back problems were intermittent, now it’s 24/7. I am now woken up every night with shoulder pain. I’ll live with it thank you.
The fight against ageing is so unbelievably sad to me. Being able to age is beautiful and a privilege. Let yourself age, you will still be gorgeous. From a person with natural large lips the fillers look fake - they don’t go along with the face the cheeks and it looks stupid - again to each their own

I appreciate how this episode includes the psychological implications of these events, and the importance of support in this area ~ I’m still a bit psychologically and emotionally scarred from the alienation I felt from family, after falling ill with Lupus followed by a series of surgeries.. I’m better now, but the feelings of betrayal still linger.. I drift into anger and resentment at times..
That poor woman with the breast reduction. I feel so terrible for her. I had a breast reduction in 2010 and mine went well. I was and still am very happy with my results 14 years later. I consulted with 3 surgeons before I made my choice. Interestingly the 2 male surgeons i saw wanted to reduce them and then tried to sell me on needing implants for shape. The female surgeon I saw gave me an odd look when I asked about implants for shape and told me that it would not be necessary. She was so adamant that i would not want them that she said if I wasn't happy with my breasts at 18 months post surgery and felt I needed implants, then she would do them at a huge discount. She was right. I didnt want or need them. I went from a very pendulous 12GG to a perky 12D. Im 5'10" tall. The scars had turned virtually invisible by 1 year later. Post operative pain was minimal. Paracetamol was all i required for the discomfort. I had been very self conscious of both the size and shape of my boobs since my teens. I was 37 when I had them reduced and lifted. My only regret? That I didn't do it sooner. It made a huge difference to my confidence.
I would also add, don't smoke, do drugs, excessively drinking alcohol and stay out of the sun. And when I say stay out of the sun I mean don't just lay there like a dead log sunning yourself for hours. Wear protection and be active, best way to get a little sun.
Wow! Great documentary! Thank you to the participants!! They were brave enough to share their very intimate, personal and sensitive stories so it doesn’t happen to anyone else! Let’s be kind to them! People are allowed to undergo cosmetic procedures if they want to and can afford it. We shouldn’t find joy in a tragedy occurring to them because a horrible person betrayed their trust. The point of the documentary is to be careful when electing to undergo any type of surgery, not “this is what happens if you get plastic surgery.”
I had my gallbladder removed which lead to 4 operations on my pancreas which is like gastric bypass surgery and I have gone into a Catabolic state and I’m about to go back into hospital for treatment for malnutrition like Julie did. I told the Drs I was getting weaker and weaker after the surgery but wouldn’t listen to me staying I was just after attention. 25 yrs later and I’m unable to work (I’m an ICU nurse) and I’m only 52and fear my future is bleak. I have developed multi organ enlargement which as started affecting my heart and lungs as well. The thing is in retrospect I didn’t really need my gallbladder removed as I’d only had one mild attack. Drs will tell you anything to make some money and operate.
I'm saddened about what happened to you, i hope those irresponsible doctors experienced the same thing, not all doctors are like them though, there are some that really have a heart to help others.
So you had to pay for the unnecessary surgery,? As a professional Nurse, why did you agree to undergo surgery after only one episode of Cholecystitis?. Just curious as it wasn't Chronic or recurring.
I worked in a private gastro clinic doing transcription for over 3 years. The poor buggers that had so much trouble after getting their gallbladder out were beyond scary. I have had two gallstone attacks, and the surgeons keep telling me I need it out. I kept refusing. I just had pancreatitis and ended up in hospital they booked me in for surgery, and I refused. I know the risks of pancreatitis, but there is no way in hell I'm having my gallbladder out unless it's life or death. It's playing Russian roulette. You don't realise how much you need your gallbladder until it's gone and how the next op is the bile duct. The surgeon told me I was being hysterical, and thousands of people have their gallbladder out with no complications. I said "yeah but you aren't the one whose life will be destroyed if I'm the small percentage of people where it all goes wrong." Pancreatitis has cleared up. I say let sleeping dogs lie. Sorry this happened to you.

@@Challenger2A7 My guess it's that it also depends on how high or low the breasts sit and how the weight is distributed - if they are front-heavy or side-heavy (non-professional terminology!). And of course the back and neck muscles, if the person ever had proper bras...

I had a “gastric sleeve” done. Most terrible decision ever. I had three unrelated complications in the post surgical period which almost killed me. I was in Intensive Care for a week. Recovery was long and dreadful. I have never and will never be the same. I battled constant nausea, brain fog and much more. I gave up work for three years. I’ve since gone back to a much lower level job. There is a saying “You can’t regret the surgery you don’t have”. Think hard.
I had to have surgery as I was sick with adenomysis and cyst spread. The surgery want bad and I had to have surgery to fix the surgery complication who they did not have in my country. I got massive inner prolapse fromtjhe first surgery. The specialist in my country sayd the only way to get better was to remove the colon and I could not walk As the prolapse would fall out. i struggled with inner bleeding on and off. And I got damage on my colon luckely the seckond surgery abroud went well. And my colon and prolabse is back to normal but the nerve damage still remains from the first surgery. I have not worked since before the first surgery but now is becouse of the nerve damage. But is getting better even that doctors say is not possible with this type of nerve damage. But I understand that I had to do the first surgery as the cyst spread started to get out of controll and it made me very sick. The seckond one as well but it went amazing they used 5 hours to stich me together and i had no issues after. But I did it as I felt i had nothing to loose. Is always risk with any surgery. But doctors never mention it att least not here.
I understand how the girl with the botched brows felt. I have naturally full brows. Nothing was wrong with them but when I was in high school my mother (who has a very thin line for brows and should not have any say in anyone else’s brows after what she’s done to her own) took me to get them waxed. The waxing lady waxed all of my brows off except for a very thin line. I literally cried for days and that was the very first time and the very last time I’ve ever let anyone touch my eyebrows.
According to him he changed.... but in reality he hasn't. the fact that he had more than four hair transplants lets you know that his whole identity relies on him having hair. when he starts to lose it again he will have the same breakdown.
The woman presenter in the red dress, she herself looks like she had something done to her face, in my opinion. If she has, then it wasn’t done well, in my opinion. It is unreal that the cosmetic surgery industry in the UK is not regulated!!! Here in the states, it is regulated. But people will still go looking for inexpensive methods and there they run into big trouble!!! Everyone needs to be educated & be their own patient advocate!!! Best wishes to all ! 💕🌹💐
For the first girl and others with tattoo problems, there are several makeup foundations which can cover a tattoo. Both I and my partner have found Dermablend useful (I chose that brand on her recommendation), but there are several types. I know it's only a temporary solution, but that might be what you want until the emotional scarring heals.
Be happy with the body God gave you! NOBODY is perfect. Learn to accept yourself. If nobody likes the way you look, they don't have to look at you! Let's see how they feel when they get cancer, surgery, and lose hair, have chemo, etc, like I have! I am thankful that God saw me through it and alive.
The thing is, people want to look like celebrities but those celebrities don't even look like that. Their shows and pictures are heavily filtered. Kim Kardashian doesn't look like that in real life. You're risking your life for an ideal that isn't even reality.

That lady who had the gastric bypass. My mom had that surgery too... she died 3 years ago at 51 years old. She wasted away aswell. From 600 pounds and she died at 60 pounds.
I considered a breast reduction. My doctor advised against it. I buy expensive, back supporting bras. I have UC and then was diagnosed with Crohns as well. I now struggle to maintain a healthy weight as weight loss is a result of both of my autoimmune disorders. I broke my wrist and my body rejected the stitches. My doctor was not able to cast my wrist. I had to change dressings on the surgical site until it closed. I had an ace bandage which was a blessing because it was summer and the cast would have been uncomfortable. This is often a complication of autoimmune disorders.
@AnaFernandez-jp5uh a friend of mine after many years of agonising back pain had a massive (her breast was absolutely huge) breast reduction suggested by a surgen avoing also breast cancer risk. She told me that if she knew the pain experienced after the surgery definitively she avoided . Unfortunately she passed away some years later for a breast cancer. Follow your doctor directions instead of the vanity or social models. I am sure you are so beautiful as you are. God bless you.
Giant breasts can cause one’s wellbeing and mobility to be reduced. Why should someone experiencing debilitating pain and suffering have to endure such a state because ‘they are beautiful as they are’? That’s sadistic. I’d rather have smaller breasts and an active life than suffer immensely due to something that can be fixed with surgery.
@@whitneyanders5945 My friend had breasts that were far too big for her frame. She lived with it until she was 59. Back- and neck pain finally made her give in. The surgeon did an awesome job. She's happy as can be at 60 with a normal breast size B. She does notice that men look at her differently. They no longer gaze at her breasts before they actually interact with her as a person. She's quite content with that 😁
I did mine two years ago when I was 22 and honestly the best decision I made. The after pain was bad but now it’s completely fine and compare to the pain of having big breasts + the self hatred it was definitely life changing
We are just, as a society, pumped full of messages about what we ''should'' look like. This is why people put their lives at risk. I'm guilty too. If I had the money, I'd have had work done too and it all makes me so sad because we're all so much more than our appearance.
Imagine having to live with three very huge scars in your face over 10 years and doing surgery and they just opened up back like it had never been touched imagine living with that and I have lived with it for so long the star that people stare at you the way people look at you it just makes you feel like you want to disappear I never be seen again😢
What kind of hospital just sends you back to the person who butchered you in the first place!? They couldn't have at least helped her find an expert, if they couldn't do anything?
Welcome to the NHS - they do help sometimes, other times they do stupid stuff like that because they are too lazy to help. They could have done something given the London clinic solved her issue
The problem is a social and mental one. Most don't have a body figure problem- rather a confidence problem and constantly being self conscious about how one looks. It's not what you are that matters, it's what you do.
Growing older, I sometimes see myself considering plastic surgery at some point down the line, but after watching this, I'll probably put it off until the day hell freezes over. Thanks for uploading this. We should all just try to like our bodies more.
I had breast reduction done in the USA, covered by my insurance. My scars looked like that. I've seen several doctors about my scars and was told they are normal. The under breast scars are about 1 inch wide. It's taken 10 years for the scars to fade and soften. I was expecting knife edge fine scars so it was a shock to see these. Overall the operation was a success and left me with a C cup and nicely shaped breasts.
I had my 30+Year feast implants removed October 2023 - it is February 2024 . I chose to have breast lift. I would not pay that extra money again - I have major scars.
I sympathise with the woman who wanted a breast reduction because big breasts can lead to a lot of pain every day. And the trans woman who felt gender dysphoria about her face. But I think that many people do it out of bad self esteem or confidence issues, and it's such a pity because they're perfectly normal, good looking people before their procedures. Makes me sad to know people are willing to risk it all and go through so much pain because they feel their body isn't good enough the way it is.
People are too self obsessed. Stop looking in the mirror, stop taking selfies. Stop thinking about yourself all the time. There is no happiness in self obsession. Look outward, get involved in life beyond your reflection. Stop comparing yourself to others, especially fake others with self esteem issues.
Microbladed brows oxidize and turn ashy super quick. The only I've ever seen done well were a coworker's who had hers done, visiting home in Vietnam-they were stunning. Both times I've had my done, I've regretted it.
I seen Sharon Osborne the other day for the first in ages and I couldn’t believe not only the doll like facial chiselled features she got due to surgery but how much weight she has lost, she’s going down the Michael Jackson rabbit hole and she really needs to stop now!
@maidinulster ...she did an interview, it's Ozempic. She is telling people NOT to take it. ...she is losing weight not on it now, and can't put weight on.
I understand the thin brows. When I was going through chemo, I lost all my hair. There was a Salon which had been in business for at least 30 years, and she lost her Momma to breast cancer, and in honor of her Mother, she was giving free brows for survivors. My aunt had read it in the paper and suggested that I go. I did, and technician had years of experience, and showed me a blond color, but I have brunette hair, and I asked if she could go a little bit darker, and more to my natural hair color? She said... I know Exactly what you want, and I walked out of there with Black brows! Black!! But also Thin as heck! I have cried for years about them! Not wanting to leave the house. I continue to be depressed over them, and now they are dark, bleeding grey. Horrible.
I'm so sorry... that's terrible. To go through all you have and then have to deal with that on top of it. At least you're healthy and alive though.. that's what I tell myself because I have no teeth and feel the same way.
I heard of a lady whose mother also died of breast cancer and she hated every single cancer survivor because her mom did not survive but they did. There is real evil out there, always put on the full armor of God.

The fact you need a licence to perform normal tattoos but not to perform eyebrow tattoos is mind boggling
I am sorry but I had to laugh at the highbrow disaster.
There shouldn't be any eyebrow tattoo it just looks terrible no matter how they do it 😂
Her own eyebrows were perfect!
I agree. I think the tattooed eyebrows look unnatural anyway, I use an old mascara and just touch up mine.

I, as a woman in my mid 70s, find it very sad that people are so unhappy with their bodies, or feel they need to keep up with latest trend. I always had a big bum when it was not the in thing. My reply to anyone who remarked on it was, "Well, it’s all behind me!"
I was never at the front of the queue for beauty but I am happy with myself and accept who I am.
@ Foxhunter49-It took me decades to finally accept my body
The only time I saw her upset over it was when a random woman said she would pray for her as it was 'the mark of the devil,'
Needless to say, I told the woman that she was an ignorant baitch.
@@Foxhunter49I have a big port wine on my right shoulder. And the skin almost looks see through. I'm a good candidate but I can't find a surgeon who will do it with my insurance covering it. I suppose it seems only right if they can have patients pay $14K, why should they accept less than 10% of that amount from the insurance companies. I still need to contact the medical school to see if they'll do it.
Your surgery seems like it was medically necessary so congrats 🎉
PS: I realise that in certain cases cosmetic surgery is medically indicated and essential. I have no problem with that, but living in South Africa and being acutely aware of millions of poverty stricken people who cannot even afford to have cateracs removed, the craziness of indulging in non-essential cosmetic surgery is mind baffling.

I tried to get out of the chair without making a scene, she wouldn't let me, squeezing my ankle so hard, she bruised it.

In my humble opinion, we need to start at the beginning with babies and children. We need to support and teach them to accept, and appreciate themselves. To respect themselves as unique individuals. We need to stop competeing them against one another.
I agree, but let’s start with helping them accept their gender. I think between Botox or a mastectomy, I’d rather see her get Botox.
Parents… are supposed to do this for the children they created! But, Human beings are complex creatures.
Parents also need to stop speaking badly of themselves in front of their children, especially with mothers and daughters. If a girl grows up constantly hearing her mother say how fat and ugly she finds herself, the girl will be much more likely to pick herself apart too.

Plus I do a lot of fasting.

The one with the lips swollen and necrosing said, " and worse, I could've looked like that forever" but she might not have had long to look like that because she could have been dead from septicemia.
Precisely, other comments pointed out the fact that the Hospital should've kept her there, because it could turn worse.
Omg I thought the same thing. Like girl - dummy - no. You weren't gonna look like that. You were going to go blind, and your lips would've gone fully necrotic and fallen off from lack of blood flow.
Isn't that what happened to Pete Burns too?
How can medical professionals turn away a person who is in imminent danger of necrotic tissue damage and possible septicemia? That is CRAZY
That’s what I was thinking
Yeah, I can't believe the girl with the lip filler had to wait 5 days to get help. That is just mind-boggling to me. I can only imagine her looking in the mirror every hour trying to make sure her lips aren't getting bigger or turning black. Plus the pain on top of it 😢.

Exactly. They try to fix the mistake they made the first time. People want to trust them so bad, and just hope it turns out right or better with another procedure. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but when you receive "bad results" desperation has to kick in and affect your decision making.
A lot of these "patients" go back because no other doctor wants to touch them afterwards.

WHY??? This is completely insane. I've had medical surgery three times. Been in a lot of pain each time. Why on earth do people go through that for absolutely no reason???
I know and I understand in a way, but surgeries are never risk- free.
The reason is that they don't feel good about themselves and want to fix that issue. It has nothing to do with saving their physical lives.

Mutilation

I'm so sorry you've had to suffer through those procedures! Perhaps you can sue the Drs. for what they've done. I wish you only the best of outcomes.

@@Mel-jl8dt I still have to consider the cysts in my breasts. I'm gonna to stick with my doctor's advice as I have already had cancer.
We are just, as a society, pumped full of messages about what we ''should'' look like. This is why people put their lives at risk. I'm guilty too. If I had the money, I'd have had work done too and it all makes me so sad because we're all so much more than our appearance.
So true, & we hear less about people working on their character or acceptance.
It sounds like you have keloids.
I had my 30+Year feast implants removed October 2023 - it is February 2024 . I chose to have breast lift. I would not pay that extra money again - I have major scars.
Her lips looked just like an allergic reaction I had! Exactly 💯!
Completely agree self absortion , vanity has completely taken over common sense .
I absolutely agree!
What a crazy way to learn to just be happy with what you’ve got.
Microbladed brows oxidize and turn ashy super quick. The only I've ever seen done well were a coworker's who had hers done, visiting home in Vietnam-they were stunning. Both times I've had my done, I've regretted it.
I seen Sharon Osborne the other day for the first in ages and I couldn’t believe not only the doll like facial chiselled features she got due to surgery but how much weight she has lost, she’s going down the Michael Jackson rabbit hole and she really needs to stop now!
her daughter too!
She is probably on the weight loss drug or else she has a recurrence of her colon cancer.
@@awkwardautistic Yes! Did your teeth start cracking off because of the radiation and chemo? Because mine did, and I have always taken care of my teeth. Cleaning twice a year, and also flossed and used a waterpik after every meal, minus being at a restaurant, or someone's home.
My friend has eyebrow tattoos and over time and fading, they look BLUE! It’s just weird. A gray or black would be more natural and less noticeable…
On amazon they sell the tattoo sticker brows and saw lots of people who lost brows during cancer been using them . Least they a safe solution I guess
As difficult as it is to watch (without turning away) this report is a necessity for everyone to view.
Girl your eyebrows look phenomenal!!!! You’re a natural beauty!!❤️❤️
“Everybody wants to look flawless” Really? Please speak for yourself and those you know. I have acne and scarring and the most I do is get topical treatments. I’ve accepted that this is just a part of me.
you might grow out of that as hormones change over time and even some people's scars might fade over time too
