Don't know if anyone has clarified this yet, but I found out sleep can get rid of radiation and heals you as well so no need to actually pay the doctor for heals and rads unless you don't want to advance the day.
For make lots of money, think about squirreling away as much equipment as possible (mainly weapons) on the edge of the extraction point, then come back several times and extract yourself once you've filled your entire bag (you can leave even with the heaviness penalty).
@@MrAtomicDuck For a game with so many complex systems, you did a great job at covering so much while keeping it digestible. I'll definitely be returning to this video between getting killed by bandits! Keep up the great work ❤
Worth saying that for new players who are struggling to find bodies or spot enemies in the early areas, you can drop down the grass density to 0. It makes it a lot easier to notice things like hidden stashes and crates too!
Only just recently started playing the game after watching your streams/vods and can say without a doubt my first hour was just a death cycle. I'm still dying constantly because I'm bad at the game, but I finally know how to make my own kitchen! Thanks Duck!
As someone who has been with the game since basically the start of Zero Sievert's Early Access (before they released the Hardcore Update), they really buffed the Bandits and increased lethality. Bandits used to only go up to Class 2 Armor which is only good for handgun calibers and Buckshot along with having Low Tier Guns but, now they have Class 3 armor with guns chambered in 7.62x39 or 54r which the 7.62x54r rifles will claim up to 75 percent of your health. Armor no longer fully absorbs the damage bullets would do to you, instead when a bullet is blocked it only does 15 percent damage (as someone who has played Stalker Anomaly i don't mind that) EDIT: Also in terms of the starting Forest Area, the new Sawmill layout is a huge improvement as it used to only have on entry and was smaller. There are now 3 entrance points (2 in the front and 1 in the rear) along with more lootable containers due to the interior expansion
I like equipment 3. Surely you don’t have the fire rate to kill fast monsters. But you can make up for being able to snipe any bandit camp easily for loot. Once you make it home with a full inventory of loot, you can buy yourself an AR and kill those fast monster.
Guess i could find an old guide but was hoping to get refreshers on basics of games. Like type of stuff u want to loot. What not. And why. Like some thing u only want if building with them. Some suggestions on how to setup base. Agian pros and cons stuff. What do we get from joining either faction later. Pros and cons. Alot more info on how guns work and what stats are important on what guns. Maybe some suggestions for each gun type. Like 1 or 2 early game. Mid game and late game for each type. And of course why. Gotta give players mechanic information so they can enjoy the rng of the game instead of frustration
Great video! One thing I'd say is that personally I would not recommend the bedroom, you can easily just sleep off radiation and gain full health by sleeping in the area above the bar; you can just pay to refill hunger and thirst. In my opinion the slot is better used with a more helpful module, but if that's what you want and you have the stuff for it, go for it. I would recommend the workbench since you can repair armor there. You can repair gear with scrap (weapon scrap or armor scrap) you get these by either finding some or by right clicking a piece and selecting 'scrap.' You can also do this with ammo.
With equipment 3, you just gotta learn to build a long distance relationship. Snipe them if they’re at the edge of the scope’s maximum range while also being quite far from their sight. They won’t really detect you that way.
My trick is to grab equipment 3 and then immediately run to Lazar (forest boss) and farm him and his guards for their gear. If you want decent AK’s with mid-high level attachments and AP rounds off the bat, hit Lazar and his goons a few times. (Recommend coming in from the eastern side of the village)
@@PrinzFeuerthere was an issue which all enemy only carried unmodded guns which are fixed, and now they can have attachments on it. Also with luck, half of the guards could be already dead by other faction or bumrushing ghouls
So nice that its out. I first overlooked it because of the graphics, then got curious and was amazed by how complex it is and how much I was sweating, during runs. Nice video to come back to it.
You seem confused about storage. If you kill Bogdanov for Igor and then later murder Igor for Artemovich, you get BOTH rewards and they stack. An increase to storage is useful as a first goal in 1.0, because your stash starts very small
IMO one tip we can all agree is Surviving a.k.a come back alive always comes first. Cuz when you die even on Rookie difficulty the Exp cut from dying is pretty brutal, also being greedy and all that "Come on just one more looting" mentality always killed my runs 😅
I was so impressed by silent Hill 2 remakes color blind options, probably the most comprehensive accessibility options for any game I ever saw, you can change to a colored outline and even change what color to outline enemies. You can have enemies lit up and all sorts of stuff, definitely check that game out. I'm surprised no one has brought this to the attention of the devs. Usually cries for "accessibility" (especially from "games journalists") are smoke screens for wanting easy modes and stuff, however colorblindness is quite common all things considered(when factoring in all the sight variants). So I wonder if the dev team may be even in working on something
If you make post on their reddit or steam threads I'll give it an updoot, but surely someone has said something considering how easy it would be to just add a color swap option
Here are a few tips for new players that I think are invaluable and weren't mentioned in the video: -if you are injured and it's late in the day, sleep! It will heal your injuries and radiation for free and doesn't cost anything. -always heal with the doctor if you have to. Health items are disproportionally expensive and better for in raid -take medical scrap when in raid. It sells for no money but you can craft bandages with it. Then buy up the whole supply of dirty water off the barman every day. You can craft one clean water for each two dirty you have. Use that water to craft sterile bandages. This way you can craft 6 sterile bandages per day. That would cost over 7k otherwise if you bought them from the doctor -BUILD A WORKBENCH!! you will be able to fix your weapons and armor wirh scrap parts and scrap metal. It's a game changer as high durability weapons and armour are essential to win a gunfight. -always clear an area before looting. Being surprised by a boar or a ghoul is one of the most frustrating ways to die and I think they are attracted to noise -never! ever! repeek a corner if you have a choice. Flanking is essential as most AI enemies "outaim" you if they see you. This is double important against enemies that rock MDRs and Bolt action rifles. Their vision range is longer than yours so flanking is your only option. -save your high pen ammo for high level ememies. As a rule of thumb, you need 10× the armor class of your enemy to effecrively fight them. So forget about fighting the red bandits (armor class 3) in the forrest with an SMG or a Shotgun. You will likely do barely any damage. -lower the difficulty if you need to. The game can be frustrating if you play hardcore from the get go and unless you are one of those suckers whi enjoys the grind (like me), there is no reason a dumb death has to set you back 2 hours of gameplay because you just lost your best gear. Lastly, have fun.

No need to engage or kill wolves. Wolves only attack when you're too close or within their territory. Even if they engage you, just run away or slowly retreat from their area and they will leave you alone. try not to shoot the pups! Unless you have to via task(S).
What a game! And what a guide! I wonder why Indie Stone can't add extraction mode to Project Zomboid... Like, 90% of existing PZ mechanics already would fit to extraction mode perfectly - healing, wounds, weight, food/drink/alcohol, guns, ammo. Add to this various mods, like 10 years later, Tarkov UI, etc. It's just so frustrating how PZ devs are working on better roofs for buildings, spiders, deers, lightning, everything not so important, but they can't add extraction and other cool stuff to the game.
I'm not really sure Zomboid needs extraction mechanics. They've always been VERY against adding an "end" to the apocalypse anyway. I'd argue this is what mods are for :) It's just not what they are going for with the direction of the game, and that's okay.
Wonder if the escape from zakov mod is compatible with this version, hope it is, but usually mods require updates too. I dont think i can play normal ZS now after trying the mod. Hardcore with permadeath is a bit too hard tho. It made me quit the game for a while and i went back to project zomboid, hope the update is coming soon too for PZ.
Now, the enemies doesn't drop modded weapon right? Even when he use it. When looted, it just a stock weapon with no attachment or scope. This is not great for winter bk from Arman because it cant be modded in the bunker.
i dont know how to put attachments on my gun.. i have some attachments but i cant put it in my gun and the attachment is for all weapons so i dont know why i cant put it on my gun...
I turned off NPCs Drop Armor but they still drop armor. Does anyone has the same issue? I wouldn't even mind them dropping the armor but it always drops with 60+ durability and I think that's op as fuck.
I'd start with a bedroom and a workshop. The kitchen isn't much use in my opinion, the others are all decent choices :) I'm gonna put together a Tips & Tricks video with some more stuff on modules in it :)
Only problem I have with this game is click registration. 75% of my deaths come from trying to take on a horde of mutants and my guns won’t fire lol. Full health fully loaded guns just not going bang.
