So glad I found your video. I had no idea why it was taking my dryer so long to dry everything. The water drawer was FULL of water. I emptied it. I bet the dryer will dry much better now. Thank you!!!
Thank you for your assistance. I just purchased these Miele T1 and W1 machines for my basement laundry. I read the booklets the installer gave me, but your demonstration is excellent because I was afraid to open dryer filter and break it. Thanks for showing how to properly remove filters.
You'll notice on the front label is states Eco & Steam at 0:46 into the video. This reservior both collects condensation from wet clothing AND uses the same water to steam clothes as they are dried for Miele's "Soft-Steam" function which is supposed to be similar to ironing. You can actually leave the condensation water in that reservoir and the drying will use it for Soft Steam. It is recommended to fill that reservoir to at least the "Min" mark which should be on the reservoir on the left side just past the front plate. Miele actually recommends filling this with "preferably distilled water". If you use the soft steam function while drying, the unit needs water from that reservoir to jet into the clothing. It is sucked out of the reservoir through a filter on the end of a small hose. Miele USA actually produced a video showing just this.... ua-cam.com/video/mq-ESaoL9R8/v-deo.html
Why empty the container out? What a hassle. It can drain the same way the washer drains, lol. The hose on the back detaches easily and you just drain it where the washer drains and it’s “mee leuh”.
any chance you have a video of installing the stacking kit? The instructions are extremely confusing and Miele has no longer got residential tech support (If you can believe that!)
I have also one…. i am glad with the drying but unhappy with the loudness of machine…before Miele i had a beko for 400 euros and was very quiet… Miele is very loud with some clicking noise 😕
I have one in my new condo and still can’t find the normal operation. Cotton in next to off, it takes 2 hours and dries nothing. It being in German does not help.😂
I thought that you were supposed to leave some water in the water reservoir in order to allow that water to be used to be sprayed and later turned into steam within the dryer?
Please be aware, these dryers are not programmable. They advertise as having a number of features, but you cannot get through the second step of the instructions. Miele customer service seems aware and unable to help other than sending a technician at my expense. Initially, this dryer was great, but you are paying for a lot of features that you cannot use. I would discourage anyone from purchasing one of these dryers.
I just purchased a Miele T1 and had trouble with this as well. I found out that the second step says "close the door" when it should say "push the door inwards but don't close it fully". Programming was breeze after this realization.

There's a drain hose also that could be setup
Very beautiful house 👍
Fantastic explanation
I'm getting the Miele TWD 360 which looks like this one. Are they the same? Thank you.

I have had my Miele dryer for 3 years and have never had any water in the tank. Could it be that a drain was installed.
Yes
That's a long walk to the bathroom to drain the tank every time.
use it to water plants then
You helped me understand this dryer: thank you, im about ready to buy a new set.

How is the drying? Im reading mixed reviews.
It’s one of the best ones here in uk I had few machines but this one is one of the best ones expensive but best quality I’m glad I invested in this
for such expensive product there shouldn't be mixed reviews. Better to pass

@@LazyBones-0_0 Now you know why 😁 I have made one video how it running, you can check here on youtube
I would not recommend. The “plinth” filter is a pain in the rear.
Flashing what is the cause of f flashing and 66numbers
Thank you!!! We couldn’t figure out why the dryer in our rental didn’t seem to work.
The LG heat pump dryer does not need to pour out water, it has a drain hose.
so does miele
Thank you.
I'd like to see the matching washer on the default standard cycle.
Thank you

no that's not true. My water drains out totally via a hose - much easier
You know you have a hose on the back of the machine to stick straight into a drain? And then you don't have to empty the container ever again.
