      But after all these 40 odd years, I never noticed he lisps. I noticed it in a video he did recently and thought it was because he got his teeth fixed, but no. He's always lisped. That alone bothers me, cos it's so easy to correct. I wonder why he never did?

    The part where she asks him if he is seeing anyone special he can't say he's in a relationship with Jon Moss as he was in those days. He wanted to be open about it but that would have been bad for business. I always feel a bit sorry for him he had to keep that a secret.

      wahh... boo-hoo.... he's gay, and gets it in the ass from Jon, and he can't tell Joan.... how sad..... Jeez, save us from this bullshit....

      Well Jon later said that situation (of his having to act a part so much) was partly what caused his problems over time...

      He was doing what he'd been told to do (because of how the world was back then), but it obviously turned out not to be worth it in the end!

    A talented , intelligent, well spoken man , Basically self educated , yet still underrated , Outclassed anybody who dared to engage him in a clash to match wits , A natural center stage act , at quite a young age , The amount of radio play he got in the early to mid eighties was one of the main reasons he and his band made it .They paraded in and weren't afraid and they stayed , all you can say is ,, Well played ..

      Remember how in the 80s we waited forever in front of the TV to press record for our favorites to come on and of course it never was the first guest? Like on Carson before someone big they'd first always have on an 8 year old who had an IQ of 180 or some 80 year old granny who holds the world record for arm wrestling. 😤

    Boy George, one of my personal heroes, blocked me on twitter after a night of defending him to a random troll... I was heartbroken, but I learned NEVER engage with trolls, and sometimes your heroes shoot you down with friendly fire.

      I'm sure he did that to minimize the negativity only; not toward you personally. He is a strong, intelligent man and quite capable of defending himself if he thinks it's worth his while. Most of the time it isn't.

    • @happykatau
      @happykatau 6 років тому +1

      Hard to predict what he will block people for.... but he doesn't like that kind of debate on his timeline.... better to un-tag him if you want to engage in that kind of thing (although I realise you've said you don't want to engage with trolls any more)!

    Wow I was only 24, and we thought he was talented but well, we didn’t know what to think at the time in those days!! He was very different, but now it’s very normal! He was very polite, we all were polite to our elders back in the day! 👍For the eighties!!!!
