Ohhh my, this is simply wonderful!! And brilliant. I'm thrilled. I love people who are both highly creative and rigorously logical. Thank you very much.
Just purchased your template and I am so excited! I have been doing my designs in excel for a few years but the hard way. Point and click and click and click LOL - This is genius! Thank you.
Thanks!! There's a link in the video description to my Etsy page, (click on Show more to expand) but first check out the link above that to the blog information page where you can try before you buy as there's a download link for a sample of the template to make sure it works on your device. :)
Hi Cyndie, watched that. Liked that, but In the purchase-version, is there a "save to .xls file button" and are there "import/export buttons" such that one can save a created pattern in excel format and import it back into the app to modify later it, and then re-save it, noting a revision number???
What you could do is just go to File/Save As and give it a new name for your revision so that you can reopen that version later. You can save as many versions as you want, plus it would be nice to have a backup version just in case.. 😁
oh geez, broken glass is NOT good! lol! Hope this works out better for you! You can download the sample to try out on the blog page, linked in the description. :)
Hello~ I've heard from other customers who use Office 365 that it works for them, so you may just need to allow the macros to run if it's not opening properly. I'm not sure if you downloaded the test version to try out first, but basically there's background code that has to be allowed to run in order for the functions to work properly. If you want to message me on Etsy, maybe we can try a few things together.
@@redd8209 Ok, just let me know either way. We might need you to download a zip file instead as Windows sometimes likes to "help" by disabling some functions during the download process.
You could make the repeats on these templates, as each repeat is usually not super huge, but the issue is that for a larger chart that was, for example, 200 stitches by 300 rows tall, that may overwhelm a computer's resources when processing the code to add all the X's, etc. It would also make the graph so hard to see as you would have to zoom way out to view the full chart. A work around is to create parts of the larger chart using the largest size in the template, which is the 51x45 square. I may do a larger chart template down the road, though, because I have gotten a few requests for that..
@@BirdsongCrochet Exactly, thats what I struggle with (use excel) when I fiddle with graphgans, where are no repeats. I did not come across program that could deal with it. Im no computer whiz, but if there was such a thing, that would "cut" the large picture into A4 sizes, that would be printable yet still readable, I would be happy to pay any money for that. Your program is still the closest to perfect.
@@viktoria.s it could be done, I would program into it where to cut it into separate pages for the PDF. The question is how big are you wanting? That's where it gets difficult to create a one-size-fits-all type of program, but I may do that with just a couple large sizes to choose from..
@@viktoria.s I may do a custom listing where specific sizes can be requested, up to a certain limit.. let me figure out the logistics of that and I'll let you know. 😄

unfortunately Google sheets uses a different code than what this one uses so I've heard from testers that it wouldn't work - you can download a free sample from the blog page if you want to test it in your version tho. :)
I'm not sure - normally in the round means you are actually doing 4 triangles joined at the corners, usually all having the same pattern, and the square is worked from the center out. You could use this chart creator to create one triangle but when you add the X's, it's going to add them to all the squares in the template which will form a square or rectangle. If you print it out, you could take a marker and block out the parts you don't want, I suppose..
This looks like an incredible tool. I'm blown away that all of that with the automatic buttons could be done in Excel. Very cool!
Thanks! I'm quite happy with how it turned out and also think Excel is pretty awesome to have these capabilities!

thanks for purchasing it, I hope you enjoy using it!! :)

sure thing!
I love this template. Cyndie, can you please make one for inset mosaic?
possibly down the road, one I learn how to do inset mosaic, lol!
Hi, this looks like an incredible tool, how do I go about purchasing the template? TIA

I think this would work better than my huge picture frame with glass using dry erase marker. I have broke the glass so many time. Lol

does it work with Microsoft office 365? I have bought your program but cannot get it to open in the free version of MS office 365.🤔

Can you make large blanket patterns with this too? Or do you have to stick to your selected sizes..?

Hello, where can I buy it to make the patterns myself, what program is it? Thank you
Hi there~ I have a link in the video description. :)
Hi Cindy thank you for your tutorial. So how do I get your template?
I have it on etsy - there's a link to the info page in the video description if you want to download a sample template to test out on your computer. :)
Hi Cyndie. I am interested in your creation. However I am not seeing it in your Etsy shop.
I JUST now posted it! I was trying to get the video uploaded before publishing the item. :)
Hy! Gibts das auch auf deutsch? 🙂
Can you use this to import a picture to add the x
unfortunately it doesn't have the ability to use an imported picture, but if you can draw it in then it will add the Xs for you.
does the full version allow 3 or more colors?
sorry, it's just the two standard colors of an overlay mosaic chart to make the A & B rows. :)
Nice
Will this program work with Google sheets?
unfortunately Google sheets uses a different code than what this one uses so I've heard from testers that it wouldn't work - you can download a free sample from the blog page if you want to test it in your version tho. :)

@@BirdsongCrochet i was just thinking about this question thank you
Will you ever create a similar template for google sheets?
I don't know what code Google sheets uses, but down the road I may create something that doesn't need Excel or Sheets and can be stand alone..
this doesn't help me how do I do a graph on excel
this is showing how my template works using excel. I think others have videos on how to make your own charts. sorry..
