My two year old helps work on the cars with me. By help I mean he knows the names of tools and hands them to me as I need them. He knows what a lot of components do, although his speech abilities aren't quite ready to articulate it verbally. Recently he saw me put the lugs back on the first set of spacers when I removed my winter tires and spacers for them so threaded the other three for me. It's a start and it is helping work on a car. He is still in diapers, although he's working on that now. Lol

The scion was a “release series” 6. Every year they made a few thousand modified examples for the tc, xB, frs and others I think. My favorite is the xB rs 3.0 - envy green paint, unique grille, rear wing, aem cold air intake and monitors in the headrests, pioneer radio. All from factory!

The discussion on the Miata is the perfect example of the diversity of taste in car culture. Everyone has their own 0-10 scale and seeing the community's cars was a great choice for content!
You know, with conversions like that, I've come around. I would turn my nose up and sneer at the like until one day I saw an old Z with mismatched and missing panels but a swapped motor and wide stance and just said to myself; ya know, this is a survivor, this person saved this car from the junk pile and made it into something you can enjoy, not some roped off museum piece, so respect.
Hearing you guys talk about that GTR like that in California make me feel so grateful that I live in Detroit and can drive whatever the hell we want with whatever exhaust we want. We don't even have emissions tests here in Michigan. You register the car and pay for your registration my weight class they don't even come in and inspect it. Pretty much complete automotive freedom out here in Detroit. I absolutely love it. Car calls her out here is massive we have cruises where cops watch burnout contests and drag races on the road and it's amazing. I feel so fortunate and blessed to live in such an amazing part of this country.

The Saturn S cars, especially the SW, were such underrated cars. We had those things coming in the dealer for oil changes with a million miles on them. Subframe rust was the only thing that would finally total them.
I have a 1996 sw2 as my daily driver. Amazing mpg and no timing belt! I'd say the build quality is on par with my '93 Corolla. My only gripe is like most high mile saturns it burns oil due to weak piston rings

I like the saturn a lot. Those were some of the best manual transmissions I've ever driven. It being an SW2 means it's got a twin cam motor, the faster and more enjoyable than the single cam. They sound good. You can sure as hell throw them around dirt roads, sliding them can be easily controlled. I miss my sl1, it was my first car.
As teens, a friend let us drive his manual SL2 and I remember it being the only manual I didn't stall back in the day. Good shifter too. Still see some 90s Saturns around CNY today in decent shape. It's like GM decided in 1989 to build a Toyota, and _succeeded._ So naturally they stopped after a bit.
i was searching for a comment about the Volvo 3-series haha they're kinda the Swedish AE86 since their weight distribution is 50/50 due to the transaxle and if you have a redblock in it they can be capable of a decent amount of power if not even overpowered with a highly tuned B230FT :D I'd love me a 340 someday but I'm going to stick to my 740 project for now

Those are KC daylighters on that Prius. I have a 77 F-150 4x4 the V8 85 Toyota straight axle with a stage 3 LC engineering engine. And a 2003 Prius. And I put a Thornton tuner chip in. Took the traction control off with a app and and adjusted the Max RPM to 7000. Instead of 84mpg. Now does 102 mph in half the time that that it used to get to 60. And it still gets 33 miles to the gallon cruising 75 miles an hour with the AC on. I bought it in December 2001 for $2,000. Just because it has AC.
HANNAH's 1963 bus, Ive seen in real life. those squashed busses are super cool, but i can imagine, as you stated, quite dangerous. Edit: they do this by chopping the body cutting out the middle, her's (i think) has a really clean line between the front and the back. You can barely tell its welded together.

Sure she's not the most kitted crazy beast machine, and she's got a lotta work that needs to be done on her before she's worth much respect, but she sounds amazing, runs great, and she's mine. and I love her.

@@jonny5541 I agree with your statement, but Donut has made public content acknowledging the risks. The VFX effort to blur the plates in the editing bay is one of the easiest. Its 100% the person's fault for not blurring it out, but Donut should have still blurred them imo.

I got my first car ever a couple months ago, she's a maroon 1990 CB7 honda accord LX 4 door with a 4-speed automatic transmission, stock 2.0 Inline 4 cylinder engine, and a kick-ass aftermarket air filter, and her name is Sakura. Sure she's not the most kitted crazy beast machine, and she's got a lotta work that needs to be done on her before she's worth much respect, but she sounds amazing, runs great, and she's mine. and I love her.

@@jonny5541 I agree with your statement, but Donut has made public content acknowledging the risks. The VFX effort to blur the plates in the editing bay is one of the easiest.
Its 100% the person's fault for not blurring it out, but Donut should have still blurred them imo.
I mean, the owners aren't censoring then when they drive the cars so clearly they accept the risks of random people seeing them
