  • Our patio furniture has been falling apart for years. The fabric is destroyed and I was thisclose to putting everything out for the trash! But then I had a wild idea to use dropcloths as fabric and recover all of this. That’s where things started to go sideways…

Ahhh yea thank you so much sister! 🥰 I even think they're a bit more comfy. Or maybe it's psychological 🤔 either way, so stoked!

Love how they turned out! The patterned fabric cushion covers are beautiful! Even though the drop cloth didnt work out i love that you were still able to reuse the cushion by cutting them down! Great job Jenn!

Thanks so much, Krystal! 🥰 I definitely wish the dropcloth had worked out for this but I'll use it again in some other application. Or, like my mum said, AS dropcloths 😆 I'm so happy with these final results, totally worth it!

Your patio furniture looks wonderful! What a great refresh. I gotta say - you have a lot of faith in your washer and dryer! I know they’re Maytags, but still! I have wicker furniture on my midwest front porch and you have given me some wonderful ideas on how to refresh my furniture. I got all my hanging ferns yesterday and today will be furniture fixing day!🌸

Oh I bet your patio looks soooo pretty with the plants! Spring is the best, everything is so fresh and new. The washer held up great. The dryer though, I didn't even chance starting it with them in there! Ooh, happy to inspire, can't wait to hear what you're doing! Thanks so much, Deborah! 🥰

Such a pretty and practical makeover! And they look even better IRL! Plus the time savings alone makes up for the cost. Hope you can do something else with the drop cloths, maybe as actual drop cloths? 🤣 Well done!! Love you!!

Yup, I'm thinking they will make wonderful dropcloths now that they aren't sofa fabric 😆🤣 I'm so happy to hear you like them irl too! Thanks so much mum 🥰🧡🌵

Yay!! Happy to see you. Such a great idea to buy the drop cloths! Dang, so sorry that didn't work out. I love the ones you picked though and it's such a great idea to redo instead of buy new. xo

I guess they just don't make things like they used to. The drops I use in most of my videos are from many years ago. They were always double hemmed and really durable canvas. I might shop around for better ones. Will report back if I find anything good! Thanks so much, Cat 🥰 feels good to be back!

When I’ve redone cushions and need to cut the foam, I use an electric knife, also works very well.

I considered getting one but didn't know if it would get jammed up on the batting. 🤔 the snippers worked great on that material!

Oh that’s right u were cutting batting! My mistake! 😣I think it would most definitely get caught up I the batting!
