I really enjoyed you! Yer funny! Enjoyable to watch!! ONE thing I can't stand! The word is Height!!!! Please don't pronounce it as heigth!! No TH TH TH! LOLOLOL. Sorry! Forgive me! Otherwise I'd give this video a 10/10!!! I learned so much! THANKYOU!!!
Thats the best first attempt ive seen friend. Im self taught too and very proud of my efforts, about to attempt my most challenging project soon.. A gorgeous antique chaise. Thank you for all the extra tips. Never used fabric spray before i think that will be a huge time saver
Now on to the second chair. Wow, what a beautiful job you did. Leaving the front fabric on was clever. It was probably hard to keep the sticky glue off the fabric while placing it on the chair. Great job.
Sorry for the late reply Eddie but thanks so much for watching and subscribing. Greatly appreciate the support and hope your still enjoying the channel.
Really like the video! I'm wanting to do a chair just like this. How has the fabric adhesive held up with time? Has the fabric stayed in place well? Thanks!
I am so excited that another beginner attempted the same chairs. I have two of them that I have accumulated over the years through FB Marketplace. They don't match each other (or anything in my house), but they are so comfortable and cool looking! I can't wait to upolster them and this channel is helping me to not feel so overwhelmed by the process. I know this is an older video (and I have no subscribed to the channel) do you have any estimate of the amount of time on labor a single chair took and/or the total estimated cost per chair (not including the chair, just the materials). Thank you so much!
Finally! I never knew that black cover was called a “dust cover” 😂 I have a chair my toddler ripped the underside black cover and I didn’t know what it was called or where to get them! Learning something knew from you while binging your video 😂
Good questions David but unfortunately I don't know for sure. The adhesive might have a hard time permanently bonding to leather. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the video.
www.joann.com/force-field-fast-tack-uphol-adhesive-12oz/10701902.html This is the exact one that I used but there are plenty of others that you can find one amazon. Thanks for watching Edita and hope you enjoyed the video.
Discovered ur channel a couple of weeks ago and loving these vids. They are very entertaining to watch and very instructive keep up the good work :) (u deserve so much more subscribers :D)
Great to hear and YES I basically chose the hardest chair style to take on right from the start haha. At least they should be getting easier from hear on out haha. Thanks for watching.
umm ya impatience on the top part did not work out. The creases look so messy and unprofessional, that would drive me crazy. I commend you for doing it, but people learn from this- Take your time!
I have two chairs EXACTLY like this I got the years ago, intending to reupholster then. I've been a little intimidated, but this helps, thank you
Thank you for an awesome and fun tutorial!

I was wondering how to use that type of tack strip!! Thank you!! No sew reupholstery 🙏🏼
Great to hear Dalia. Thanks so much for watching and keep up the great work on your channel.
This video helped me to figure out what I can do to save my severely peeling bonded leather sectional. Thank you!
Very good!!!

Thanks for watching Billy and the continued support. Much appreciated.
This not the professional way to recover this chair.

You make this look so easy. I have the same chairs. How much fabric did you buy for one chair?
This is very helpful Ty!! --> Can i use that staple gun without an air compressor? Or can i use a non-compressor staple gun as effectively/easily?
The shape of the chairs is awesome

It's not as easy, as it looks.
What gage of staples are you using?

Thanks a bunch
When you tuck the fabric into the creases between each channel of the clamshell, does it stay in there?
As long as you use the fabric adhesive first then yes it stays. Hasn’t moved since. Thanks for watching Cheri and hope you enjoyed the video.
great job
just going to proceed and watch this video
Thank you so much! This was a great help!!
Great to hear and thanks so much for watching. Good luck on your project and hope you subscribed.
Waouh super !!!!

I like the work you've done but also your rabi joke then just silence in the video 😂😂 funny dude
Gotta provide a little humor in the videos right?! Haha! Thanks so much for watching Zoe and hope you subscribed.

YES!!!! LOL! Great to hear MM and glad my videos are helping. Thanks so much for the support.
Is it okay to cover a leather sofa the same way with a fabric as well?
Good questions David but unfortunately I don't know for sure. The adhesive might have a hard time permanently bonding to leather. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the video.
@@BYOTools thank you for the reply! I see :(
What a great educational video! Thanks for the humor. I will be trying something soon. You guys did a great job.
Great to hear and thanks so much for watching. Hope you subscribed.
what is the name of this type of chair specifically? I cannot find the style anywhere!
I’ve seen it called a clam shell chair but I don’t know if that is the correct term haha! Thanks for watching Amy and hope you enjoyed the video.
i found achair just like this locally on offer up
for $20 👀
💙💙💙💙💙‼️perfect
hi can you tell me the sprayer name which you used

Did you at least wash the fabric on the chair before covering it?
You don’t want to wash out all the natural old chair smell..... lol jk! Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the video.
This looks like the EXACT same color that I chose for my living room furniture
That must mean you have great taste....... haha ;) Thanks so much for watching and hope you enjoyed the video.
It was great! Thank you ❤️
Not too difficult! I have two chairs that were quoted at over $1k to professionally reupholster both. Think I'll DIY.
Discovered ur channel a couple of weeks ago and loving these vids. They are very entertaining to watch and very instructive keep up the good work :) (u deserve so much more subscribers :D)
you mentioned other channels that inspired you?
Here is the link to ALO Upholstery. goo.gl/R5T8uW Its a great channel for upholstery work. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for taking me on this journey, I learned a lot... I just wish the fabrics used on the chair were reversed XD
Beautiful fabric selection! Keyword: patience - reason I won't attempt this! That chair style looks way difficult.
Great to hear and YES I basically chose the hardest chair style to take on right from the start haha. At least they should be getting easier from hear on out haha. Thanks for watching.

The audio needs some work but otherwise great video!
Inevitably…
reupholster or just simply sticking something over it...
This should be called an upholstery hack. Since you didn't completely re-uhpolster it .
Love this. And u have an attractive face lol
Ermmm!!!
Is that a good or bad Ermmmm?.... haha. Thanks for watching no matter what Eoin.
Only real ones pronounce it “Heighth”
Rabbi 😂🤣
🤭
*wears knee pads but not shoes*
I'm sorry my guy it looked better before
Your work not finishing
Ya I know but chair number two will be a lot easier then the first one right?! haha. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the video.
Finishing not good
Thats not upholstery! Thats bodge up.
A video to show people how not to upholster a chair.
Ooo come on Robert. The chair still is as comfy as can be at least haha. Thanks for watching though.
I thought he did a great job of letting us know his expertise (or lack thereof) and completed the project in a way that can be reproduced by others
Said inevitably wayyyyy to much
Words are hard sometimes......LOL! Thanks for watching Araba and I've reduced the usage in more recent videos. check them out :)
