@@Rek_Rc My only critique is that I think you shoulda redone the dirt test with fresh batteries in the HBX. Given its performance, I think the bout mighta been closer. But honestly? You were fair to both trucks. No matter which you spend it on, you've got a good pick.
@@bloodangelphil I wanted to, but the other battery for it died, and I believe the second battery was defective. But I would have liked to get a few more laps in with it.
Yes, Top Gear is indeed a game for the SNES from 1992 developed by Gremlin Graphics. It is middling at best, so I'm not sure why you'd compare this video to that game. ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
Just picked up a Mojave Grom today and it’s awesome! It handles super well! It’s really easy to throw it around while maintaining speed. Pretty surprised by the punch on that brushed motor too. It doesn’t leave you wishing for more power.
Great comparison between the two short course trucks. I was contemplating which one to buy. Arrma all the way. Got yourself a new sub. 🤘🏻Your voiceover is top notch.
Thank you so very much to the kind words and for taking the time to comment! We truly appreciate it, and every single subscriber matters to us, so thank you BIG TIME for that!
I love my Mojave Grom. I ended up upgrading it with a brushless system and it goes 57mph with a 3S battery on stock gearing 😆 I also installed a receiver with a gyro and it handles even better now too! Such a fun little truck!
I just have to ask, because everyone seems to do what you did... Why not buy the full size Mojave if you're putting that much money into your Grom ? Wouldn't the bigger vehicle be more versatile ? I'm not trying to judge you or be a dick about it.... I just see so many folks putting $300 into a $129 truck, and I can't figure out why. Thanks and happy bashing.
I can't speak for others on this, but I can say that in my personal experience, sometimes it's just fun to have a small and completely insane RC that surprises your friends with larger cars . When I "over boost" a small RC, it's for nothing more than hearing "OMG WHAT!" followed by laughing from my friends. But for someone with a ton of power systems laying around, it really doesn't cost anything to do that. For others it can be pricey though.
@@Boogie_the_cat Well because I already own a Mojave 4s with a bunch of upgrades and a Team Associated Pro4 SCT. I just wanted the Mojave Grom because I really have a lot of fun with my Losi Mini B. Once I got the Mojave Grom I had to make it faster because that is what I like to do lol They handle surprisingly well too
I've always thought your camera drone footage is pretty darn good. What drone are you using for that out of curiosity? Keep up the good work on the videos.
This is a really good Top Gear-esque showcase of what both trucks can do. Recommended for anyone looking into their first short course truck.
WOW! What a compliment! Thank you so much for the kind words. I think you just won the pinned comment of the video!

Rotten luck, but you did what you could and it still makes for a grand video. Keep on keepin' on.

Awesome video!! I love my Mojave grom! However, now the HBX is on my radar!!
Yep the HBX is. Pretty good truck itself
Good review!! So much carnage in this video too. 😮 Glad no one broke an ankle!!!
Tony tried for my ankles a couple times! hahahahah

@@Rek_Rc 💯 Spending $140 to make the truck almost three times as fast as a stock one including an upgraded radio was worth every penny imo.
@@Shreddylife I'm with you, I like doing things like that myself. I had my Typhon Grom doing 52 MPH just by putting in MJX system in it.
Awesome video bro. 🔥
Thank you buddy! Good cars make good videos
Thanks 🙏 Again for Relly great Video And lot's of Smiles 😁
Thank you again for joining us and dropping a line!
Awesome comparison of the 2 mini trucks, but realize the ARRMA is a short course truck and the HBX is considered a Trophy/Baja style truck.
Correct
Great video! Subscribed!
Wow! I'm honored. I've watched a lot of your content and will certainly continue to do so! Thank you so much
Hbx rollcage+ spar tyres + brushless
Great video bro! Great racing!
Thank you buddy, I appreciate you watching and taking the time to drop us a line.
I like the fact that we can break the law😂 all the RC cars went way over 15 km/s speed limit 😂❤
The RC speed limit loophole
Solid comparison! The HBX is close and has been the best truck for it's size for a while, until now
It has enjoyed a good run as the best small scale budget SCT, but there's a new sheriff in town, and his name is Mojave.
Compare the Mojave to the Traxxas Slash 1/16. I would enjoy watching you compare them
I'm actually planning to do that here eventually.
I've always thought your camera drone footage is pretty darn good. What drone are you using for that out of curiosity? Keep up the good work on the videos.
We actually show the drone up close in the video. It's a DJI Avata
Hi Steve, It's a DJI Avata 1 with the motion controller. -Tado
Very interesting comparisons, great video!!
Thank you sir! I didn't expect the Mojave to perform THAT well! Very impressive, even as a brushed RC!
@@Rek_Rc it definitely looks like it! Once I have the cash I think it will be the first Arrma I add to my collection
Great Video!
Thank you genuinely
The HPX cheated. Brushless and 2 spare tires. Both excellent trucks. Love the half time action. Great job! 👏
The Mojave just couldn't be beaten though. I've never been more impressed by a small brushed RC like this
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you brother!
