I swear they don't feel generic at all. For one, they don't look the same. Also different players have different capabilities. Some can finesse, some can trivela, some can play the killer pass and they also left stick, r1 dribble and skill differently. When the players fall behind the power curve, they also start to feel different. I swear they all make varying types of run, some come short for the ball, some try to make penetrating runs and some just completely ghost the entire game.
Nah, a lot of players feel unique, those 2 players are just extra broken. I feel like they gave Neymar, Bellingham, Messi, their own feel. even players like Felix, Sterling, etc. just feel a bit different than others.

Content creators killed FIFA, especially the coverage of FUT. Without FUT being so popular, EA would have had to focus on gameplay. Instead they’re worried about which card comes out when and how good it is smh

I want to chime in on the gambling: It's not just a money sink. It's not just the store packs. It's also a time sink and FC 24 has warped my mind around it in a way that I have to force myself not to buy FC 25. FC 24 was the first Fifa I've played in a very long time and I played it through the year, but I've spent more time on the mobile/web app than anything else. I barely enjoyed any games I've played. I've grinded and played the equivalent of a clicker game for 11 months, only chasing those very small highs of getting something cool once in a while, something that never actually improved my fun in the game itself.
I didn't spend a single cent in the store, but this game has still stolen from me in a way that hurts if I look back on it. I could've spent that time with people I care about, instead most of it was miserable, but I couldn't stop. I'm incredibly grateful that the Futties promo killed all my interest in FC24 now.
I'm writing this in the off chance, that maybe somebody else here who had a similar experience but is still in the tunnel has a wake up call. End the cycle. This game isn't built for you to have fun, everything in it is built on fomo and addiction. All the reward mechanics, all the gambling with the packs as reward.

That's the exact feeling I had this year. I though I was having fun but if I'm to try to remind my feelings I had while playing the game, one thing comes up, constant search for new players and meta plays. It was a really tiresome time period for me.

I bought the game from 98 to fc24 ... I don't buy it anymore, I came to the conclusion that I pay for stress and frustration ... and not to have fun ... Well said. I played 96/97/98 then moved over to PES for 10 years and went back to fifa. I’m a FUT founder and found the game has fell off over the years. Everything these days is about money, long gone are the days where the players and consumers are thought of properly.
As for the mental health side. I had to stop playing online last year because 90% of the players you come up against use exploits and spam sweaty/scruffy goals too much, all to be rewarded garbage in packs. Definitely frustrating and stressful playing melts every day.
FUT starts out as a gambling addiction for those new to the game. Me and most of my friends got onto it years ago thankfully.

Squad battles are seen as lame by most but I don’t mind playing it, I don’t play too many games these days. You can always put it on or next to the hardest settings to get a better game out of it. If all you can play is online then I’ll say a little prayer for you now 🙏 god bless.

If you bought Fc24 for the 7 day access and grinded rivals you would’ve noticed all the actual bugs . The biggest 1 is all your players overloading one side of the pitch , that’s why switching the ball over is so common and it was never fixed since day 1
I love the tika taka tactical way of playing. But EA 24 makes it impossible for you to pass through the middle. So you have to rely on wingers to create open space

I've quit the game after FIFA 19 and never been happier. I stopped buying the game as I saw the path EA was going in with the whole Next gen Hypermotion technology bullshit. They focused on how to get the game to be more and more realistic every year with advanced technology and unfortunately they went too far and killed the game. The is so real now I might as well just turn my tv on and watch irl football. The game is no longer arcade-like. Very slow paced gameplay, worse shooting animations and inconsistent finishing, silvers/low rated gold cards aren't usable anymore like they used to be so good in-game, rather they're now known as just "fodder" for SBC's... so many things you can point out about the declining path EA has taken with FIFA but it gets too long.
In my opinion, the main cause of the demise of the EA Sports FIFA franchise was Hypermotion Technology.
I can't wait to see the videos of pain when the game is released and people are very disappointed 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

ea fc 24 is my last FIFA/FC game i will not play this game anymore it just makes me angry and i have seriously not enjoyed a single game of fifa this year the amount of scripting and dda this year was absurd (don’t even try to say skill issue i am a div1/elite player) not even to mention how pay to win this game has become and i know that if i get the game i will spend money on packs and im just done with that.. my advice to you guys is to find another game if ur like me atleast cus its not fun anymore its a casino its pay to win and not enjoyable at all there is no skillgap anymore i’ve lost more games to people i know i would destroy if there wasn’t dda or scripting involved. and i’ve won games to people who were really good at the game it doesnt make any sense but every person that plays this game knows exactly what im talking about.. and even when i win i don’t feel that happy feeling anymore cus even when you win it doesn’t compensate for the bs that happens in the game.

Sounds like a genuine attempt by the guy to make a video but the entire segment analysing the gameplay showed he doesn't really know football. The stuff about the left back being in front of the winger especially, as it could be a) the left-back is quicker and can safely catch up even if it goes past them so they move in front to force a difficult ball (think van de ven style), or b) the left back has one of the new instructions ripped straight from FM to be an attacking full-back

I look forward to the game every year for the fundamentals of Ultimate Team. Basically starting a new team and building it, finding great players to use that are under 82 rated....which is nothing to do with anything new EA are doing.
It's basically the same reasoning since I started in 2010. If anything they have taken that part of the game away because last year it was over saturated with content and people had the best teams by October.
EA doing an online career mode in another game actually hints that it might come to eafc in the future because they tend to test things in other sports games first
I quit FC 24 after the TOTY Messi debacle. I have lost all faith in EA, they will never get my money ever again (Even though I never bought FC points, the cost of the game itself is quite high, especially the deluxe edition).

Two things I liked in the video:
1- The point made about the fifa community. I agree with that, the problem is with the people and mainly the content creators. Creators are just making money on top of money and that's all they care about (most if not all). So having a better game isn't on their priority list. In that sense, they're just an extension of EA's greed.
2- The comment made by Nick about the animations making players feel authentic and unique. This should be already in the gameplay! Why would Eusebio, or Pele move like a Cantona, despite both being great players they should be unique. Let alone Sorloth moving like prime R9.
But the morale of the story is that this community deserves this game.
I’m a “casual”, been on the game since Fifa 14 (15 is my favorite fifa ever) and I enjoy the early grind with gold cards and objectives and whatnot, then I just focus on Pro Clubs honestly, it’s all I need. I also like career mode but Pro Clubs is the only reason I buy the game.

Career mode seems good which is a positive in a not particularly enticing game
Bought every fifa since fifa 06 and would spend hours playing manager mode. Had the time of my life for many years but eventually it became clear that single player modes were being ignored and they were clearly focusing on FUT. This year I grinded on FUT and I don't understand how people can do this every year. It's so repetitive and frustrating. I'm finally retiring from the game. Thought I'd play forever and EA has really turned me off this once great franchise.
Since the way had changed, how cards feel and how their value is determined in my mind, i can say they change so fast (at least in FC24), that i got nearly no addiction to get something new. And since the pack weights were so fucking low, and trading has been destroyed, there is no need for me to play again. Even all the faults EA did, with no mercy to their community made me quit. And to be honest, my addiction is gone…i feel really good.

in older fifa's to get mbappe cr7 Messi 7 Neymar etc was crazy now the most expensive gold card in November is mbappe 2+ millions and the second most expensive gold card is like 150k max...back in the days we had to grind to get these cards and now there are 150 promos and 10000 special cards until January bring back the grind ea we need less promos less special cards more grind even bronze cards now have 5 5 its not unique anymore

Been playing since FIFA 14 and FC 24 will be my last. The sheer amount of predatory monetization practices designed to exploit the predominantly younger (often minors) audience and is normalizing gambling mechanics.
This, in conjunction with abysmal gameplay and copy and paste game mechanics, should really make people question whether this parasite of a company deserves your hard earned money and, more importantly, your precious time.
I’m so happy I experienced UT during the best years and am now old enough to not give a shit about this pathetic excuse of a game they’re churning out for ridiculous money. The amount spent on fifa points (which I’ve also seen have increased in price if I’m not mistaken?) has made them just reskin the same game year after year to mug you lot off. Stop buying this trash.
I pre-ordered FC25. Not because of UT. I have officially retired from that. But because my friends and I started playing pro clubs on FC24. And we want to continue playing FC25 pro clubs. Hoping is as fun as it was on FC24.

You can still skip 1 year.. even when fc 25 is out. There are still ppl playing online. You can’t do sbc and objectives. But who cares if you have a amazing team. They want to dig gold from your ass. The pack weight ar the beginning is so worse. Overpriced sbc. That you have to buy fc points. Don’t fall for this. Save your money and your mental health

It's mostly the communities problem. EA made $7.5bn from FC24. Does anyone seriously think they're going to mess with that Golden Goose too much? Why would they? Until and unless people stop buying the product, and stop with the micro-transactions (which are approaching MACRO-transactions) nothing substantive will change.
Rush was super fun on Beta! but im guessing that will change once the meta is found. I played as Kimmich the whole time and mainly as a CB/CDM, and I had alot of fun.

After plalying the beta i decided to buy, rush is great and feels nothing like volta, it has offsid, it has red yellow and blue cards, games are set times and goals are normal size, its just an all round fun gamemode imo. I honestly didnt play rivals and had a few games of squad battles and yeah it looks like 24 with a few added features. Player cam during subs or after scoring a peach and hypermotion kicks in is reasonably cool. Gameplay itself doesnt feel much different tbh.

Completely agree about authenticity of players this year. Nobody feels special unless they cost 15 million coins. I remember the fekir card as few fifas ago and it was brilliant. A level above others. These days they all feel the same and with the power of the defensive ai it doesn't matter who ya got. Worst fifa of all time and if you can't move again in fc25 in the middle of the park I will never play again
