- A compilation of Mats Andersson (Sweden) and Claire Mole (UK) in Harry Hockly Motorsport prepared Proton Satria competing in the FERODO Super 1600 in 2000 British Rally Championship, an international team of one car against two 106 S1600 from Peugeot Sport's UK, three Puma Kit Car from Ford Rallye Sport's and a privateer of one Citroen Saxo S1600 from Asquith Motorsport.
At the end of the 2000 season, Mats Andersson wins the S1600 Drivers Championship title by 2 points against Justin Dale in the Peugeot 106 S1600. In the overall Manufacturer's Championship, Proton finished 2nd ahead of Peugeot by 1 point declaring Proton Motorsport as the champion of FERODO Super 1600.

Sebelum wujudnya myvi kuning yg acah² king of highway tu, Proton satria kuning dah lama cipta nama di dunia rally. Tahniah Proton.
Perodua takde minat nak ceburi dunia motorsports skarang. Dulu adalah sejak keta Kancil dibawak masuk MRC dan Rally of Malaysia. And last skali time diorang main rally guna Viva. Tu kali trakhir Perodua dlm dunia motorsports rally.

Untuk yang tak tahu, kali terakhir team Perodua M5 Racing Team (yang diuruskan oleh mendiang Garry Chua, bekas track racing driver dari zaman Mazda RX-7 FB3S yang lagenda) main rally di Malaysia pada tahun 2008. Masa tahun tu, mereka gunakan Myvi 4WD Turbo (kereta sama yang sekarang dimiliki oleh ZagSpeed), Viva 4WD Turbo, dan Kelisa 2WD NA. Saya sendiri sudah pernah naik Kelisa 2WD NA (sebab ayah saya pernah diupah untuk bawak kereta mereka pada musim itu), laju kereta tu boleh pergi.

Dengan custom-made bumper depan tu, memang hensem! Berbanding dengan kereta lain yang bertanding dalam kategori S1600 pada masa itu, kereta ini sahaja tak pakai wide bodykit...kereta memang dah lebar pun 😁
