Proton Satria 1.6 Rally Car - Pure Car Sound

- Here's a compilation of the Proton Satria (based on Mitsubishi's Mirage Cyborg) Rally Car with 1.6 L 4G92 Inline 4 engine that is still being use to competed in the Malaysian Rally Championship (MRC). The rally cars in this video are competing in P10 class (1600cc and below) which is a category in MRC created by the Wheelsport Management. The majority of Satria rally cars that's competing in this championship are all standard 2WD (FWD).
Most of these Satria rally cars were used by the majority of the privateers (including me) because it is a good car to use as a rally car, it's cheap to get spare parts (in case the driver broke something and it shares its parts with the other Proton model such as the Wira, Putra and the Arena), and there's a lot of aftermarket parts for the Satria (from suspension to ECUs, everything you can think of!). Betul. Sebab itulah ramai World Rally Champions bermula main rally dengan kereta 2WD sebelum mereka beralih pakai kereta 4WD (pacuan empat roda, ya sepatutnya AWD)....sama macam kita belajar bawak kereta masa nak dapatkan lesen kereta.
Masih belum terlambat lagi untuk kamu nak jadi rally driver. 😉

Are those engines still stock or modified?
Most of it is modified although not much as it needs to comply the regulations for P10 (1600cc and below) category, it depends on the privateer's (as most of the cars in the video are driven by a privateer) budget to spend on upgrading the standard engines without losing its reliability.
I have the same engine in my Lancer and I'm scratching my head why those cars are faster and have a different performance haha if you don't mind what are the upgrades they did on the cars?

@@hashrulsubzero In that case... They should have reduced the sound of the muffler to had matched the formance of the car. Like where as a Wing Spoiler would defy it purpose for speed in downforce..

Nope, no turbos...no turbo lag. All of these cars (including other Satria rally cars in Malaysia such as 1.3 and 1.8) are natural aspirated 😄

go anygma just like what you heard those track cars at MSF (Malaysian Speed Festival), doesn’t matter if it’s big or small...the sound is still comes out louder than a standard car. Besides, those cars that are in this video are not mine. So I can’t tell you the exact thing they have done to their cars. 😊

Maybe, maybe not. Like I said, I can't tell you the exact thing they have done to their cars (because I didn't know much about them).
