With over a decade between album releases, Western Australian rockers Jebediah from Perth have transcended time and space with "OIKS", with the quartet firmly cementing their iconic status in the OZ musical landscape via their sixth studio album. Released in April 2024, Jebediah catapult their iconic past and present into a dazzling new era. Remaining consistently active since the release of their previous album, Kosciuszko (2011), Jebediah showcase the band’s enduring creativity while never losing sight of their influential indie and alternative rock roots. An instant opus in the illustrious Jebediah catalogue, OIKS rises to the occasion from start to finish, culminating after the many turbulent years that came before its release. Tracing its origins back to experimenting in the studio with frequent Jebediah collaborator Dave Parkin (Red Jezebel, Spacey Jane), the end result of "OIKS" is an album that finds Jebediah completely at home with their sonic identity in 2024; as iconic as their breakthrough debut "Slightly Odway" in 1997 and yet somehow with more vigour than ever before. Opening with the dulcet "Bad For You", the listener will journey between poppin’ rock "Gum Up The Bearings", the driving pop dexterity with "Motivation", chant-ready moments of stomping euphoria of "Don’t Stop!", the moody alternative rock gem with "Rubberman" and plenty of sunny sonic vibes to "April Slumber" . The OIKS album also exudes a familiar dreamy coating across the board, culminating in the album’s closing delight; the sharp swoon of Aqua - Lung. Jebediah are equally at home wowing crowds in dimly-lit crowded pubs as they are weaving musical magic to thousands on festival stages. Now faced firmly ahead towards a boundless future with a packed touring schedule with another Australian rock Icon in Magic Dirt and well armed with this stunning album "OIKS" which for them was a true labour of our love over pretty difficult circumstances, Jebs are only getting warmed up for some incredible things yet to come. Im sure i wont be the only one to say , we are glad to have you back Regards Jim
You shouldn't live the past but 90s an 00s Oz music is the best and these guys have still got it. Only now we've moved on from Leaving Home to crazy rents and mortgages
It's amazing, Jebez is back and Blox from Spy V Spy is playing again. It's like old friends you haven't seen in 20 years come back to visit and they really haven't changed a bit.
This is pretty good. Tank
No gonna lie I've been missing Ness' juicy basslines.
People get older but music doesn't change.

Kevin, you're looking a bit worn out mate, hope everything is ok. ❤
Agree. I love this band but this is not the Jebediah standards they have set for many years before this unfortunately
