    Name one of your favorite butters below ↓ Do you use it for skin or hair care or both? What butter would you like to try? I am very curious about Bacuri butter and Ucuuba Butter.

      Michelle A Nice!!! I feel like Shea gets a bad rep these days but it is still an awesome Butter! It was my go to at one point. 😊😊

      Michelle A Yes, I prefer milder smelling butters as well. Cupuacu also has a very assertive smell that is hard to over look but I still want to explore it more. Yes, once you find your favor supplier, you can be confident that your butters are the best quality 👌🏽🙌🏽

      Michelle A 😳 Oh no, now I’m scared 😩😂
      I am also guilty of that 😅I love a nice smelling body/hair butter or either a very mild smell. I will still try them, but thank you for the warning 🙏🏽😊

    Illipe butter is my favourite because it creates a hard soap bar. However, unlike the illipe butter shown in this video, illipe butter I got is yellow and has smokey scent. It is locally produced here in Indonesia.

    I am new to making body butter. I tried a recipe of whipped body butter but it stayed the consistency of lotion. I added more kokum butter hoping it would fluff up but it didn’t.
    Any ideas on what I can do if this happens to me on my next try?

    Hi YaYa. I absolutely LOVE your channel!! I was wondering which butter is the softest for making body butter. I used to use shea but it is heavy so I was thinking of using mango now but one of your other videos shows something softer than the mango butter...is the tamanu butter softener than mango???

    • @YayaDIYCreations
      @YayaDIYCreations  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, Tamanu butter is softer than mango butter, but can still be difficult and expensive to deal with. Tamanu butter can get grainy sometimes. I made a video on how to fix this. I hope this helps. 😊💜

    Which butter do you recommend for a DIY light weight hair moisturizer, because I DIY my hair moisturizer with shea butter, but I think it makes my hair hard to comb.
    Don't get me wrong, it feels very moisturizing but I can't comb it without having some breakage, my hair is very thick as well so even if I do sections I'll still get breakage.
    I recently purchased the Cheba Powder so I can't wait to use it.

      M Donawa you will love mango butter.......but you have to whip it with an oil.... jojoba or avocado oil......not coconut oil.

    Help, I made my first whipped butter with 4oz Kokum butter, 2oz is Mango butter and 2oz oil and it whipped beautifully but now after I put it in the class container it's so hard. I was hoping for more a whipped creamy product. Help is there anything i can do? Oh and to make it worse I added arrowroot cuz at first it was to liquid-y

    • @YayaDIYCreations
      @YayaDIYCreations  3 роки тому +8

      Based on your formula, 75% of your formulation is solid butter; 50% of those solid butters being Kokum butter. Kokum butter is one of the hardest butters out there and is usually used to stabilize and thicken formulations. Only 25% of your formulation is liquid oil, which will not do too much for your formulation.
      I recommend reformulating. Either add more liquid oil or exchange harder butters for softer ones. *Remember to allow your butters to set after whipping so you can test for consistency. In most cases, when you first whip the product, the final texture/viscosity has not been shown. I truly hope this helps. 💜

    • @YayaDIYCreations
      @YayaDIYCreations  5 років тому +1

      Brenda Warner Really? Kokum is one of the fastest absorbing butters for my hair, but everyone is different. That’s interesting. What kind of wax did you use if you don’t mind me asking? Too much wax can definitely leave a white residue.

    • @YayaDIYCreations

      Honestly I use kokum and mango butter for just about everything. They are my favorite lol. The only difference with lip balm and a regular whipped butter is that I add beeswax. Here is a lip balm video I did last year. ua-cam.com/video/a4NJaaRLtEg/v-deo.html In this particular video, I believe I used Illipe Butter.

    Whats the thinnest one?

    • @YayaDIYCreations
      @YayaDIYCreations  5 років тому +1

      Chocolate &Everything Thinnest one? 🤔 Hmm, I would say the lightest or “airy-est” one would be the Kokum butter for me. It has the least greasy feel. They all are lovely, but Kokum just have different characteristics to me. I hope that helps. It is a hard butter in its natural state but thick and light once it is melted down and whipped.
      Please let me know if that is what you meant by thinnest. 💜
