It feels like you are advertising for them rather than having a problem with it. Who cares about persona models if they are locked behind a wall cause you can’t use it outside my faction. That’s not a feature one wants to play behind. I doubt they are having fun it’s addiction for a carrot on a stick. In other words for nothing.

Tweak MyFaction and overhaul universe mode. MF has an audience. You can’t assume what you like and play in the game is what everyone else does. Also MLB, NBA, Madden and now NCAA all have these modes in their respective games. Get used to it. Street Fighter, MK and Tekken also offer similar pay to play/win offerings as well. Not saying it’s right, but it’s the new business model for these franchises.
As long as it's under 2K and Brian heading up development, it's never going to change. Maybe if the mode stops bringing in money but you can't stop the whales and the people who fall prey to this kind of stuff. Sadly, it's a permanent fixture in the games.

As hard as it is, the only way to stop it getting worse is to stop spending on cards they want players to spend for.
The Rock '24 was 2K asking a question: how far will they (players) go to obtain a sought after item? They'll be fishing through their data to answer questions like:
- how many MFP packs?
- how much VC was spent?
- when did they stop opening packs?
- who got the cards? who didn't?
- what did they do next?
They won't worry too much about the social reactions. Talk is cheap, actions cost more - the data will tell them everything they need to know.
Yup and when people spend any money or extreme amounts on packs it’ll definitely be worth it to them to continue supporting it. And they see how much time is spent active in their mode . They’ll keep doing it until the consumer says otherwise in a massive way

I got Sheamus 09, then the action figures of Cody and Cena. The moment I found out I was actually going to have to actually play myfaction and not just a match or 2 but hours upon hours, I said screw it. I'll go without and havent logged into it since
I warned players about this. It only gets worse from here. Watch for this game to completely lose itself soon.
My faction is just a game mode for people to feed on there addiction to gamble especially children who play the 2k games.It’s very despicable but nothing is going to change because at the end of the day WWE games and 2k games only care about 1 thing and one thing only it’s our money witch is extremely sad.
I didn't touch it in '22, avoided it in 23, and have a love/hate with it in '24 because of the persona cards (which I can't get).

I wouldn't hate the persona cards as much as I do *if they weren't literally locked out on my select screen* . God, why do they do that? It's so annoying. Just add them to the screen when I get them. I can't *stand* looking at a locked out blank model, it's just screaming "your game is incomplete! You haven't gotten everything!" right in my face. I can't get past it.

I don't see the point in putting in the "Final Boss" version of The Rock if you aren't updating the Titantron and his new theme to go along with it. The mode is terrible and always has been.

I'm also very puzzled people are buying these cards. Whatsthestatus has these characters you can download for free. So the only thing I can think of is it gives players some type of adrenaline rush because 2K is a very stale game. Currently my enjoyment comes from using old school wrestlers and doing matches in play now.
Bro all we’re asking for is that Universe mode gets some love😭 like they’re killing us with this MyFaction shit. Combine MyGM and Universe Mode together, bring promos back, bring back create a story, give us full and complete control of Universe mode as well like allowing us to create & set championship records, and add more to custom matches, like give us more options to create in custom matches like I Quit, Inferno, etc. bring back Yukes and THQ and bring back the title SmackDown Vs. RAW but I guess that’s too much to ask from WWE Games and 2K💀😴
I was all with you until you said THQ, they are a shell of a company that continues to put out awful remakes and unfinished games. At this point give the license to EA. It will be filled with Micro transactions but if they treat it like college football it could have some really great modes

I don't spend money on it. I think the main reason I play it now is just because the online match servers are so horrible that you can't get a decent match online, so I play this.
My Faction isn't my thing. I love the game, but that mode isn't why I love it.
I’ll be honest, I’ve kind of given up on MyFaction, and generally the game. I was excited for MyFaction as a new player to the mode ht after everything that’s happened amd spent $40 of my own money and got nothing in return for it ( I inderstand there’s odds, regardless of the 2% stat that came out) along with the LE’s being more “buy packs to play these matches” centric I was kind done, then the ECW pack came out, but the MF cards were sapphire….not even Ruby. I sort of just became jaded about the game in general. I’ve tabled it for now, and sadly have gone back to RDR2 for like the 18th time because at least the odds of having something interesting happen are better there than this game
They also did some scummy stuff back during WM, they had an event where a Tiffy was needed it had the 4 tier rewards one of those rewards was a 10 pack box of a one of the premium packs. After 4 days they changed it to one pack instead of 10. So basically everyone that rushed and opened packs got the 10 box but people that were grinding only got 1 pack if they were even lucky to pull the Tiffy that was needed. The mode is a joke. I will not be losing my sanity over digital cards that will be useless by this time next year.
If you are spending real money in this game, you are part of the problem. You’re just reaffirming to 2K this is what people want, so they’ll continue to get more aggressive with the pay to play live events.
I love MyFaction. But I’ve moved the game off the series x and onto an external drive. The only reason I’m not completely uninstalling it is because the DLC is already paid for, and I’ll try the characters as they release. I don’t have any interest in the other modes, and since they are basically making MyFaction impossible for a “free” player, they’ve lost me. Don’t see me backing up for 2025.
xDefiant (which is amazing) just released and F1 ‘24 is about to drop so I’ll play those instead.
I’ll still keep watching because I enjoy Matt’s content, but the game is pretty much dead for me now.
If they turn WWE games into Fifa or NBA games, i just quit this until the go back to the good old days when there was not a card mode....and an accelerator, not that nerfed thing call "supercharged" .

All legends will be locked behind a paywall within the next few years. That's a guarantee. The games will be skin and bone with any legends, cool moves, and most attires being unlockable in Myfaction. You'll end up spending all year just trying to unlock everything you want and then, guess what, the next year's game will come out before you can actually enjoy it. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

Universe mode is what got me back into WWE games.. I feel like we’re 2 or 3 years away from that going away and this series being ruined for me.

I was never interested in that mode. Anything I have to spend micro money on I will never play. They spend more time trying to fix this mode then Anything else it's bull crap.
I no joke tried to play My faction 3 times each year since it's been in the game and couldn't play it because there is a lot of stuff you need to do to unlock characters and I just couldn't get into the mode.
Imagine farming 777,420 myfaction points or VC to unlock the current versions of the Rock and Roman Reigns on my faction. ONLY for the rock to not have an entrance song.

While I am not surprised AT ALL by the pay wall nonsense as it is not just 2K/WWE it really is an indictment on the industry as a whole. I was going to try and grind and get the Ichiban Hulkster (I do not care about Roman with a man bun and Dwayne in a tank top LOL) but after about 10 minutes realizing I couldn't just go and buy the insanely expensive VC Hulk card to do the challenge, I had to do the other live events to get to that point. I just wish they would do something to make it fun and not mind numbingly tedious. Like why can't we get a mode where both parties are happy? they hide goodies behind pay walls but we don't mind paying cuz its fun and reasonably priced (yeah 2K that means I ain't paying 15 bucks for rock in a friggin tank top)
My guess is that they are slow playing this… they’re making it feel tedious at first so that later when people are dropping off they will make a lot of these things easy and available to purchase so that it ropes people back in and they’ll feel like it’s an improvement.
The future looks like how wwe battlegrounds had the majority of the roster locked and you have to grind and buy packs to unlock them… thanks for advocating for people to play MyFaction so hard when 2k24 came out. It’s officially a problem
The fact they are releasing packs/cards so quickly that players who don't spend money simply can't keep up, and the fact that if you do want to try and grind out MFP they implemented a timer to stop you grinding too fast, tells you everything you need to know. They don't care about us. They don't care about our enjoyment of the game. They care about money, and bank on people getting FOMO.

I've accepted MF ain't going anywhere. It is what it is. Between 2K22, 2K23 & 2K24, I've played MF for 5 minutes in total. It'll always collect cobwebs in my save file

Sad state of the gaming industry these days. Pure greed.
This is basically the equivalent of FIFA Ultimate Team for the FIFA games. A mode which may be a player's dream but their wallet's nightmare with a ton of microtransactions. I don't play MyFaction. I don't have any interest in it. It's quite honestly sad to hear people pouring time, effort and money into a game mode that's not even worth it, and 2K know this. As long as they update it with live events and things you can unlock strictly through MyFaction, the game mode won't ever go away.
I say get rid of it. It's not worth grinding for days and unlocking packs just to get ONE wrestler or ONE attire. Get rid of MyFaction and improve on what you already have like Universe Mode or put that same time and effort into GM Mode to make it like the old GM Mode from SVR2006 to SVR2008, or you know, BRING BACK STORY DESIGNER. Just make those changes and everything will be fine (for the most part). Also, make ALL those MyFaction-exclusive attires and wrestlers available IN THE BASE GAME FROM THE START. If you have enough VC, you can unlock it just like all the default unlockables. No spending real money, no going to the store to scan your receipt, no spending countless hours to unlock something. Stop having us players either grind for days or forcing us to download it from Community Creations (which, by proxy, may have caused uploaders to also grind the same time [or mod the game so they don't have to, which could get them in trouble])
So I just dipped my toe in My Faction and I don't know how this hasn't been discussed and there hasn't been an all out boycott on my faction...
The most outrageous thing is that they are INCLUDING randomized CREATED CHARACTERS in the card packs that you can get.... Do you fools not realize that this makes it EVEN HARDER to get the cards that you're wanting??? Now there's even more garbage cards in packs....
Look at all the cards in the packs and scroll to the bottom and you will see all those created characters that look like they were randomized....
Then there are these "Free Agent" cards and you can only use those characters a certain amount of times and that's it... You can't renew them, you can't add contracts to them so they can be used in more matches, etc...
Then let's talk about how you start off with like half health and you get gassed out really really fast and easy.... i get they want to stimulate wrestling, but this is still a video game, it's like no fun is allowed....
This is by far the worst it has ever been... Oh and now they have added FOMO to card packs as some are ending at a certain date and if you didn't get the card/character that you were wanting, then you will be SOL unless they bring the pack back again?
I can't belive there hasn't been a huge uproar with how they made My Faction this year and i haven't even discussed the cards that you can use outside of the mood, but are extremely hard or expensive too get....
I for one will not spend one cent in that mode... I'm also not going to grind endlessly just to get free points to use or for a certain card....

If you are or have spent money in My Faction then you are part of the problem and you deserve to get ripped off by 2K and to lose your money getting duplicates and garbage created characters....
I did get unto My Faction a little bit in WWE 2K23 and I was enjoying it, but there was also a fear that I would end up spending a boatload of money for packs in hopes of getting certain cards only to end up in a huge debt. Because I felt that I would have to buy these packs because that's how the game made me feel. So I realized that it wasn't worth it, and I quite playing My Faction all together, which is too bad because it had some enjoyable moments. So I can see why someone would spend $400.00 in hopes of getting The newest version of The Rock, because the game tells them that they should do this.
I haven't even bothered playing it much of My faction, although I did attempt to try it once but couldn't figure it out so I said screw it.
I wouldn't pay 2K a penny for a dumb card game.
I would rather have a Road to WM mode than this stupid mode.
I hate my faction so much and "Useable in all modes" was a lie. Those original characters from my rise and gm mode should be usable in universe. And the grind is annoying when the com is so cheap. I like a challenge but not cheap characters to fight.
I bet we would already have more than 100 CAW slots and way more legends if there was no MyFaction. Same in NBA 2K. That's what 2K puts most of their work in
They really better pull out all the stops for 2k25. I mean seriously. On Launch we all deserve Kerry Von Erich, Curt Hennig, Sid, Tugboat, Earthquake, LOD, Demolition, Rick Martel, Dino Bravo, Haku, Warlord, etc. We want back the frigging Inferno matches. We want the Universe mode and GM mode Improved significantly. Enough of this BS. This game is just a money grab and I'm not going to support this. People spent 400 bucks to unlock the new Rock. I see what 2k is all about.

I can’t imagine myself boycotting WWE games after 18 incredible years of buying every single game. (And older releases). I stopped buying FIFA after 11 years but I can’t do the same with WWE games! It shouldn’t be ruined any more!

I've never spent a dime, on MyFaction. There's a way to make grinding appealing, and this isn't it. The biggest concern I have, is that so much attention goes to the mode (whenever you turn the game on, it tries to lock you in the menu, and very little to the replayability of Universe, to creations (lots of things are still locked and screwed up), may r create more branching stories, in myrise, anything. They have their own MyFaction team, working independently, okay. I don't plan on trying it. It doesn't appeal to me. So it seems wasteful, to me. If people enjoy grinding, to get nothing, or paying money, more power to them. It's why I dropped Injustice 2, in the span of a couple of weeks. Endless grinding, never getting anything worthwhile, and the reward for endless grinding was a new cowl, for Batman, or maybe an out that makes Supergirl look like Supergirl, from the comics. Neither of those ever came my way, so I was out.

I saw the SmackTalks video on $400 for The Rock and I just straight up gave up on the mode and have not gone into MyFaction since. There's no way a model of The Rock with just a tattoo update is worth anywhere close to that much money. That 1 character model is going to cost 4 times more than the 30 Years of WrestleMania Edition of the game itself. It's madness.
I haven't spent a single a dollar on myfaction in '23 or '24. They really have been trying hard to bait people lately with persona cards and now even giving some VC as the new locker card thinking people will buy more. I'm refusing to fall for that nonsense and might not even buy another 2k game after this. I do like myfaction however as far as weekly towers, live events, and proving grounds.. but screw the money grabbing they're doing.

If it wasn’t for Persona Cards, I would still never have touched MyFaction, but they’re blowing it. I would pay a couple of bucks to get an updated Rock or someone who was out of date when the game launched, but I’m not going to grind for it and I’m not paying more than a couple of dollars.
MyFaction and similar modes in other games need to be regulated as gambling, because it's gambling.
I only touched MyFactio at launch to get the free mattel Cody Rhodes and Sheamus 09. Other than that haven't touched it once and never will. It's not dead, especially when fools are spending hundreds on a card for The Rock, but I wish it would die and never return.
Showcase was ass cheese missed so many good matches how could they not put in Seth Vs Cody at WM38?? No taker vs Kane matches?? And MyFaction is boring and too time consuming.
You know what? I wish this mode wasn't dead. But in fact it kinda is. Or.... Was never really alive in 2K24. Cause the new attire outpour this year here is like, astronomically worse than last year. We had so many exclusive attires or even whole characters in this last year and even tho they just added a new (but lame) Reigns and Rock, where are all the other ones??? We waited so long for new content and then we have these? And these only? Why is it so bad this year when they finally decided to let us unlock stuff, it's kinda wild.

Who are actually spending their money on this?? They’re not gonna discontinue this mode if they keep getting funded. The reason why this mode is still around is because idiots keep throwing their money away. This mode needs to be gone so they can use those resources to rebuild their own universe mode.
This is the first game(that wasn't 2k20) I didn't buy the season pass or early access pre order for ect hopefully more people did the same so the company gets the message that they just straight up need to do better 😅
I bought the Hogan figure so I can get the card for $22 rather than try and unlock him. My plan is to use him and the other 2 figures as a faction called The Elite
I play myfaction just because its something to do on 2k. But the grind for persona cards is crazy and not a gurantee what youll get in those packs

2k defintly wants universe mode to be built in a way to get players to spend money. That’s probably why they haven’t updated it yet

Microtransactions are aimed at content creators, always have been , always will be, in every game.
I wonder if they will release a pack in like the Nov-Jan area with all the persona cards in it. This way they will have already scammed lots of people out of 100s and even 1000s of dollars, and then the people that refused to buy into that they can target with some kind of last minute pack. Target those people who the locks on the roster screen drive them insane and the like. Not saying it’s right, it’s a shitty thing to do, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
Side note, but where is the deluxe pack with Rhea and Bianca ‘17? I thought it was coming out at some point, seems like a no brainer to sell it separately. The pre order bonus and 40 years pack are available, why not this? Strange.
I have the Rhea and Bianca models on the 40 years of wm pack. Maybe create a support ticket on 2k's website.
@@F1wgp7 from what I could tell online if you buy it separately the deluxe stuff does not come with the 40 years pack (if bought separately from the 120$ version). From what I understand it was supposed to be another separate purchase.

Wow, you can't change the rock's attire? And not only that he doesn't even come with the new entrance animation or theme? The animation I kind of get, but he should at least have his new theme. It's just way too barebones for something that requires so much effort.
