Thanks Mike love your natural style and demeanor - fun in depth lessons of true masters uncovered by your natural talent in relaying these gems of guitar!
Mike, excellent as usual. One suggestion for you would be a Mike Bllomfield lesson...I would think a song like Driftin Blues from the first Butterfield album. Although not an original bluesmaster. Bloomfield in the day was referred to as the" American Clapton". I was fortunate to have seen him with the original Butterfield band 7 times..he was amazing and along with Clapton, Green and Albert King my inspiration to play the guitar. Best regards!
This is one video where you definitely want to get Mike’s “free tab” off his Patreon page. Makes it so much easier to follow along, especially Freddie’s fast playing. Blues in A, sounds really good!
Marvellous, Mike! Clapton was certainly very influenced by the three Kings - imho Freddie had the biggest impact on his playing but Eric seemed to cite BB 🤔
Those microtonal bends! It’s like having the right accent when you speak a foreign language. Suggestions for this series: Otis Rush, Luther Allison, Buddy Guy … Cheers
?? Licks in A.. who would you like to see in this series?
Thanks hanging.. keep it burnin!
Paul Kossoff? (I see that Back Street Crawler LP behind you).
great series, thank you! Magic Sam, please. Earl Hooker would also be great.

Freddy's my favourite of the kings.

I wasn’t sure if you were joking about the thesis so checked and blimey, it’s really there! Looks like it took a while to write that.
It’s took a lot of hours in the library alright ;-)
How about some Son Seals just for fun.
Gary moore
I think Eric Clapton has picked up a lot of Freddies style
