Clearly a pro. This take me three days and multiple attempts to get right.
Appreciate the post.
Dude, this was the most informative, easy to follow, pro tip heavy and no BS plumbing video I've ever seen. Thanks!
Thanks SuburbanHobbyist! Cheers!
I agree with you suburban hobbyist. He is straight to point and no bs and not too long.
@@PROSDIY what the piece u use to connect to the sink? my sink drain is small like 1" but abs is 1 1/2"
Agree! Really complete and thorough, but also concise.
Great video..no rambling on yet its packed with necessary info which is very well explained. The guy obviously knows his job.
The best I’ve seen for pea trap and drain adjustment; addresses code, as well. I wasted time before I finally found this.
you know your stuff bro, thanks for taking the time and explaining things in a simple yet comprehensive manner.
This is one of the best tutorials I’ve ever seen
Totally agree. I have watched a couple of videos on this topic and I was amazed at this tutorial! Absolutely the best one I have seen
I watched this video about 10 times because it is detailed and it was the most helpful, I'll be doing this work for the first time and now i feel confident i can do it. Than you
Good luck Jerry! Cheers!
Saved me a call out charge plus parts. I was thinking I'd have to change the whole basin but seems I can just buy my own drain pipe and follow your tutorial. You're doing amazing work by sharing your knowledge not only for free but in a very straight simple way without any angles. New subscriber here

Thanks for making this video! My sink has been backing up and then taking forever to drain, I’ll be sure to rewatch this video while I redo the plumbing under the sink tomorrow!
Need help!
Need help! I have an inch and a half waist pipe Cummins the wall under my bathroom vanity there is a recoupling on the pipe attached to my p-trap. The connection from the wall is approximately an inch and a quarter short from the tailpiece. I am unable to unscrew the coupling from the waist pipe. Can I use a fernco fitting to make an easier connection. Or could I cut the coupling off and start from the pipe. I'm concerned about cutting the coupling I do not want to damage the threads on the pipe and I don't have any room up against the wall. A fernco I think will be the simplest solution. Thanks for your help
This is the best video I have seen on this subject. He explains everything, even what the building & safety code dictates. Thank you for doing this video...
Excellent process, top demo of code conformity, no time wasting. He could work at my house, any day.
Very much like the advice concerning what NOT to do as well as 'what if' - covering different scenarios and how to approach them.
Tell them to install gfci under sink perfect video keep the good work !!!
Great explanation! Thanks for explaining all the sections/parts of the sink drain connection! Very helpful.
wow ! That's the most valuable 10:32 mins spent on youtube. you're straight to the point and explained the process really well.
You have not only explained the work you are doing in plain and simple steps but also covered a lot more that I can relate with my scenario.
Thank you
5 stars ⭐️ video
Amazing and simple explanation.I really like the voice over narration of the video,it's clear and well explained.
Thank you very much, this is the best p-trap practical explanation I have found on the Internet. It answers so many questions.
Dude thank you! This video saved my holiday as I was able to quickly fix this leak with a house full of guests and get back to just visiting.
Just replaced mine using your vid, thank you!!
Great explanations: clear, concise, and informative.
I will use this video countless times in the future! Thank you!
Thanks for explaining and showing the way it connects to the main drain. Im doing this for the first time on my basement bath and this is extremely helpful for a diyer with very little plumbing experience who needs it to pass inspection. Great work.
Very informative, easy to understand, easy to follow.
I followed the recommended order and it worked out fine. The screw connection for the P-Trap nut is always tricky to get it started and threaded correctly but otherwise it was a no hitch install. Very nice video and clear, concise instructions.
Can't thank you enough. I've done tons of these connections and only now see a few minor things I should have done differently.
Thank you for making this video. When I installed my new faucet a year or 2 ago the installation instructions said to use silicon caulk to seal the drain flange to the sink opening/drain hole. It was messy but worked. Fast forward to yesterday when the sink wouldn't drain. I undid all pea trap connections and cleaned out the clog, but in doing so the silicon unseated around the drain flange. Thanks for clearly showing how to apply the plumber's putty. It was easy and forms a better seal, I think. Also, the suggestion to seal the threads with teflon tape is a good one which I don't think the original installation instructions indicated. Suggestion: Another video recommended also using teflon tape on all pea trap connections as extra insurance against leaks, a step which you didn't do. Still, your video is very helpful. Thanks again.
Thanks for all the detailed information you have provided in this video. I like your way of explaining every point. Keep sharing such great videos in the future also.
Thank you for this video. I am renovating a downstairs master bathroom complex and adding a 3/4 bath. I've never done anything like this before. I licensed plumber has run the drains, lines, and vents, but I need to connect everything from the rough ins to the fixtures. This video was very helpful.
This is a solid, thorough DIY video. Thanks guy
Nice tutorial video. It gives a nice explanation and breakdown of what and why to do things. I'm still a bit unclear calculating the tailpiece length so I have to keep watching it.
That was very helpful. Thank you for making it easy to understand for someone whose new to repairs.
Fantastic teaching. Thx.
Very well explained ! I’ve learned a lot of important details that make all the difference at the end of the day. Thanks again, Have a good one!!

Great video. Liked the explanation on siphoning risk and importance of venting. Example with water bottle was great.
Nice to see your method for setting up the ABS connections.

This is how tutorial videos are done. You sir are the man. 👊🏻
Thanks, that was exactly the case I was looking for - mismatched axis between the drain and the sink
I replaced a lead connected drum trap. The return to the wall side from p trap was nearly identical to yours. Thanks for the tips !!
Really helpful. Well done. Appreciate you!
Thanks so much!!! EXACTLY what I needed!!! I love how you explain how to use the level. Thanks again!
Codes? I didn't know homeowners worried much about codes. Excellent video. I especially appreciated the explanations about the slope and pipe diameters. Just shows the difference between the homeowner diy guy and a pro who knows.
Thanks Charlie! Cheers 🍺
i not always a stickler for all rules but having moved my elderly relative into a place WHERE HOUSE FLIPPER apparently didn't THINK WAS IMPORTANT TO ADHERE TO LOCAL PROPERTY ETC N BUILDING CODES , ITS 4 YEARS DOWN THE ROAD , STILL HAVING TO REPLACE ALMOST EVERYTHING BUT THE WALLS , MITE HAVE DO THAT TO AT LEAST 1 SIDE, PORCH ADDITION FROM STORM, WIND, WATER N TREE DAMAGE NO INSURANCE
Good job, and good way to explain. God bless.
Awsome! Your video is by far the most helpful I've seen in trying to figure out the leak under the bathroom sink. For me personally, I really appreciate knowing WHY 🤷♀️ I need a slight angle to the one pipe for drainage, not just "...well, because... you just DO!" 🤦♀️ 😒😠😡 Not that it has anything to do with the leak, I just wanted to thank you for just the right amount of info.
I've discovered my problem creating the leak and I'm off to get the missing (!) piece. Thanks so much!
Smiles from the southern California desert, MK 😁🏜

Great content! 🙌🏽👍🏽💪🏽🤟🏽
Excellent video - just what I am working on. Actually installing a new faucet but thought that I may as well install the included sink drain. Unfortunately the pee trap is glued and has no adjustment so I can't get the new sink drain in. So it's the old drain or a new pee trap I guess.
awesome.
Thanks slot. I realized I didn't glue shit or put plumbers putty lol
Very informative. Maybe you should add a note about rotating a 1/4 the pipe into the elbow of the last joint.
Excellent! Thanks.
