Yay, love seeing woman who had a traumatic birth experience, have a positive birth the next! I had 2 traumatic C-sections with my first 2 babies, had a vba2c for our 3rd and then another cs for our 4th bub, a rollercoaster of emotions! After my 3rd birth being a natural birth I actually thought I was going to have natural births forever. Nope. But I have made peace with cs births thanks to my 3rd cs and thats a blessing in disguise! Congrats Jo and family
i was induced with my first because my daughter was almost 2 weeks over due and at the end i had to get an emergency csection because i wasnt dilating despite all the walks and workouts i was doing. when i was pregnant with my second they gave me a choice but told me the risks. my kids are 19 months apart and i would picked having a csection again to avoid complications. i hate when people would tell me oh im taking the easy way out because i wasnt “helping” my body to dilate. here you are who works out religiously and had a hard time as well. thank you for sharing!!! it just validated to me that every womans body is different.
Omg I stopped doing your workouts about a year ago since I found out I was pregnant! I came back to your channel to find out you had another baby 🥹🥹 congrats it really is such a blessing! Looking forward to your workouts for this postpartum body!
Congratulations again I am so excited watching you return and everything that you experienced. I actually had my first C-section and then my second child was a V back all natural. My kids are 11 years apart.❤🎶💋
Congrats! When we had our son in 2011 and our daughter in 2014...we were excited! We did stop at 2 kids. It's an amazing experience and both were c-section. So glad you're well and everything turned out wonderful. Enjoy your new baby guys! Blessings~
Congrats Jo & Larry! What a beautiful family! Thank you for sharing your story. I had the EXACT same experience with my two babies!! A planned eviction for my #2 (3 years after #1) was the way to go!! You’re amazing mama❤
Aw wow I had no idea you did Vlogs too! I’m so happy to come across this and so happy for you and your journey to becoming a second time mummy, Thankyou for helping all us c section mummas in feeling good with your workouts and May God bless you and your family ❤
Congratulations Jo and Larry! Hi this is Sally! Thanks for the shout out when you saw my hubby Leo the other day at the store! I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for being a constant source of inspiration in my physical fitness and mental health. Thank you for motivating me to embark on my own journey towards well-being. Not only have you helped with my physical goals but also my mental resilience and self-care. Thank you for being an amazing motivator! 😊
It was so cool meeting your husband and him sharing how much you have been working daily to see a change and how I have been instrumental in that process! So proud of you sally❤ keep taking care of yourself!
It’s amazing how different each of your kids births can be so different. I’ve had 4babies (youngest 4months old now) and it was a great birthing experience but a hard postpartum recovery in the hospital. Mostly because my husband couldn’t stay overnight with me, he had to be home to be with our other children and my nurse was in a MOOD! Having a good nurse definitely can make all the difference. Congrats, she’s a cutie!!
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your story Jo! It feels like confirmation!! I relate to this so much as I had my son in 2020 during the pandemic and ended up having an emergency c section as well. That experience was very traumatizing to both my husband and I. We have decided to do a planned c section for our 2nd baby next month. Hearing your experience gives me so much hope and peace about that decision. Peace and blessings to you and your beautiful family!
Love your story. Here in the Netherlands it is quite normal to deliver your baby at home and thats wonderful, but you can have your baby also in the hospital. I have four childeren and two are born in the hospital and two at home.
God bless you all! The baby is absolutely perfect she’s so precious! A lot of the time the Dr.s will tell you do to a C section if you had one before but I know many woman who had successful vaginal births afterwards. It’s usually a $$ thing. What isn’t nowadays. However that’s not important. I’m happy to hear you were happy with your choice and God made sure everything worked out smoothly and you and baby are healthy! Thank Jesus 🙏🙌❤️ P.S. LARRYS FACE WHEN YOU SAID MAYBE ANOTHER ONE ☺️🥴😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😭
Yes it could be a $ thing for sure, but I was pretty set on having another c section before i even asked my doctor cause I was terrified of having another traumatic birth experience like my last. I’m glad I did!! Haha also he jokes -he’s the one who would have 7 if I was okay with it 😂😂
@@johannasophiachannel, some things can't be expressed in money right 😊 ofcourse it depends on were you live maybe. But I felt traumatized just like you say. I really felt bad for a while for choosing c section. Till this day I get emotional when woman tell you virginal birth is the real deal 😢 it's not true I know. We endured a lot and it's no race after all. It's still an operation
Many people so have successful vaginal births after c section but some also have uterine rupture ( previous scar tears while laboring) which can lead to maternal and fetal death. It’s not a money thing is a safety thing
Been following you since before having Kaizen, we were actually pregnant at the same time and due during the same time & also struggled postpartum (c-vid postpartums were HARD!!!!!) and I have to say I am so happy that this time around it’s been a better experience for you! ❤ May God continue to bless your little family with health and happiness
Oh my goodness!! I didn't know you had a personal UA-cam channel! I've been doing your workouts for some time now and I love them!!! My oldest daughters name is Sophia ❤. Congratulations on your new addition to your beautiful family 🎉🎉❤!! Birth is truly unpredictable so when you have an induction or planned c section it helps so much! BUT it is still unpredictable anything can happen 😅. Thanks Jo!
Congrats on your precious baby girl. She is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this vlog with us. Hope you will post more in the future. God bless you and your beautiful family.
Thanks for sharing Mama! So glad your experience this time was much better and that your recovery has been smooth. God is good. Blessings to your family.
This really crazy to hear you talk about your second birthing experience because I had a girl first a long time ago she is 7 now. And I tried a natural birth at the hospital and I didn’t progress either. But for my son I had him last year. I went for a VBAC but I still went through the same thing again I didn’t progress and ended in a c section anyways. I am glad you decided to go for that the c section the second time. I regret not just going for a c section because it wasn’t worth all the pain. 😅 Your daughter is so adorable ❤.
thanks so much for sharing your beautiful brith story 🤍 congratulations to you and your family for a happy, helathy baby girl 🎉 so happy you had a smooth and redemptive experience. way to go mama!
Oh my goodness thank god you had schedule a C section ❤ I’m so glad that you had such a better experience. And I love how it was like baby girl waited for your family to get there to make her arrival. What a blessing this whole experiences was for you. ❤❤❤ god is so good ❤
God is truly amazing.... Congrats once again mommy thats rly inspiring to someone who's also expecting... Um looking up to u, and baby Amiah is super cute. ❤😘😘😘
I’m so happy you had such an amazing experience! May god continue to bless you and your family!! I will be having my scheduled c section in March, please share what postpartum garments you used!
Thank u for sharing❤ its so comfortjng to hear from someone as fit and strong like u about your delivery experience and that its ok to have a c-section ( doesnt mean theres something physically wrong with the mum😅 had the exact same experience with my first child!! I was also not dilating even though i was induced and had contractions, eventually had to have an emergency c-section. I live in Europe and the doctors assistant told me that for non white women/ women of colour apparently its sometimes difficult to gauge our dilation levels because of our hip/anatomy structure 😶 i wonder if @ Jo in the U.S they mentioned anything about this to you? I did find this explanation strange but thats what i was told...
Thank you for sharing❤ I too had a difficult run during my first. Water broke 4 days before Scheduled. No contractions at all. Until they started me with the ivs. After that, pain city. They kept making me turn on my sides. I got up to 4 cm, after 17 hrs. Had to have an emergency csection after planning to have him vaginally, due to the drop in his heart beat. It all happened so fast. He was out in 3 mins! Scary time and recovery was not my favorite. I was shaking so bad. They had to use something called a bear hug to calm my body down before they could move me into a room to be with my baby.😢 i even got into it with a nurse. She was rude and aggressive. My son will be 9 on the 1st. Very smart and independent. Sweet and loves his Dada. Dada is King, but Mommy has all the answers. Lol Second one was easy, and a girl as well. Scheduled c section. Had contractions for a few weeks before, but it felt like tiighten around my belly ever so often. When i got to the hospital and they hooked me up, a nurse asked if i was in pain during one of the tighten moments. I assumed then that these were actual contractions. Didnt hurt at all. Recovery was a little better. Didnt shake as hard or as long. Plus i got to be in the room with my baby and family while i was going thru the shakes. Made it much more comforting. Nurses were much nicer. I knew the sex with both because i wanted a girl the second time🎉. Then i decided was done because being in your 40s having babies is harder on the body. And.... i dont like being stuck with needles so many times. I felt like a pin cushion. Boy and girl. Done😂 Now my babygirl is just made 6 and sees me as her best friend. She is my warrior princess. She is very protective of me🤺👸🏾 and the sweetest little girl. She is my shadow. She laying next to me now...lol. Congratulations Jo and Larry!! U have a beauiful family.
🎉❤Congratulations! Very happy for yall! My first born and second (daughter then son) are almost 3.5 years apart as well. Then we got a surprise and had our baby girl 18 months later. Your husband's face looks like mine did. Lol!
Awe you have another channel !! Love that !! Congrats again and glad you had a good delivery , i was wondering what helped you keep active through your tired days ? Do you feel like a starting over as far as losing weight and then having another baby ?
Vbacks are actually a lot more dangerous than people think, it is safer to go for a c section if you had one before. I had one birth one scaduled csection due to some medicine I was taking, now before I got pragnant I was thinking about a vback but now I am why risk it
Thank you for youre story! ❤ I'm now pregnant with baby nr 3 😮 and had 2 different births, 1 c-cection and 1 'natural' so don't know yet how this one is going to be. I do have a question, it's a bit off topic, but I love youre car seat! It's a nuna? Can you tell me witch type it is, it's so nice! My youngest getting so big and I'm looking for one witch fits better.. thanks already, from the Netherlands!❤
My first baby I experienced the exact same situation and my recent delivery was a planned c section after my bp spiked at my 38 week appointment and had to make a decision for delivery that same day
This was encouraging! I'm 38+5 today with my girl and hardly dialated 😅. Had a csection with my son because my water broke at 36+3 & he was breach. Planning on a vbac this time. I will definitely keep my mind open to a csection though. I had a great recovery first time around, it just caught me off guard. I'm so eager for her to come! Thank you for sharing Jo! Much love to you & your family. May the Lord continue to bless you and keep you ❤
Yes! It doesn’t happen often but I was contracting 2 minutes or less apart for 3 hours before I had my c section. Active labor is 5 mins or less apart for 1hr+ ❤
That’s amazing..so happy for you! Had my my first baby via elective c section on 10/20 ,her name is Amaya as well. But my experience was the opposite …pain post surgery was unbearable and im still in pain 3 weeks later. Could you tell us more about pain management and if you had any difficulties like trapped wind / constipations
Congratulations to you and your family ❤ your daughter is beautiful! Now you have what they say in Netherlands; a kings pair ( 1st a boy and then a girl ) 😊 just some fun because it doesn't matter as long as they are healthy. I feel emotional because my birth stories are very simulair to yours. Only with my 1st baby I got dialayted after 23 hours. Unfortunately my contractions were very weak at that point. And baby didn't come down so I tried my best, but it was a c section. Because I'm very scared of the labor-pain and after what I've been true, my 2nd ec section was planned. My Dr was straight up just like yours. I felt ashamed at first choosing for this option. But than I thought; it's my body my life. And I had an amazing experience. The recovery however was though because I was caughing very badly. 😢 So much pain. But lucky everything became ok and my recovery was ok. You look so goid Jo! Enjoy the time with your sweet little baby. ,they grow up so fast 😉 ( my babygirl 11 years already )
Question: How did check ups keep the baby's gender unrevealed to you all? Also, what made you all choose to keep the gender of baby a surprise? THANK YOU ALL for sharing your story and journey! This gives me so much hope!!! Congratulations on glowing baby girl and praying God's continued favor and peace to you all and your sweet family!!! ALSO, where is your mom's family, Jo from?? My parents are Haitian and I was just wondering!! Beautiful family!!!
Hey there Marlene!! We just told our doctor every time we saw him (reminded him) that we didn’t want to know the gender and he had it in his notes. He was very careful to be discrete. We only had one ultrasound that wasn’t with our doctor and we did the same, just let her know before the ultrasound started! We are so happy it was a complete surprise. We wanted it to be a surprise because we’ve seen it done before and realized it’s such a beautiful surprise. Everything became so real as soon as I gave birth and we found out she is a girl. An amazing experience, i highly recommend! My moms family is Jamaican and Cuban ❤️ my dad is Dutch
Hello Jo!! Thank you so much for answering my questions and I will keep this in mind for my future birth stories as God wills! You are a blessing and what a wonderful legacy/blending of cultures you come from sis!! @@johannasophiachannel
I cant tell you how many times I said this is my last four kids later 😂❤. But the thing is after my fourth I kept thinking of possibly not being done 😅😅. Its so weird lol. We will see in a few years where Im at because I tend to have some what of complications during pregnancy.
Yay, love seeing woman who had a traumatic birth experience, have a positive birth the next!

Not true. Vback is actually safer than a repeat C section. Chances for rupture is super low, especially if you don't have any major additional risks.
I am here for it all! Love you, Jo!
