Exactly. This time round no one is overlooking her. Everyone knows what she can do. Plus, unlike other times, everyone knows they gonna have to break world record to win (or be very close). Yeah so I don't think she's gonna be able to pull it off. Too much pressure. And the gap has closed.
I don't know who but both 100m and 200m world records are gonna be broken. I didn't feel that she thinks she's where she needs to be fitness/training wise. Unlike everyone else she is coming back from 2yrs off basically so for her not to be super confident with less than 100 days to go is not looking good imo. Plus the pressure and having to run the rounds, I think it's gonna be too much. Also unlike every other time, everybody basically knows they have to break world record or be very close to win. But, she is my fav and I really hope she can pull it out the bag
No athlete is gonna be super confident or even if they are they won't necessarily let it be known. And even if she ain't super confident nothing is wrong with that because great talent is out there and anything is possible. And she's not coming from a break. She has not run as much as others but she certainly wasn't on a break.
If Elaine can even make the Paris Olympic final, I would be very surprise. Hers and her team"s decision making have proven to be suspect in the past, and I can see no change.
