      @evolutiontreksperu5313 4 роки тому +6

      Great video footage and edition, but what an awesome comment Mringi. It is not just that they are underpaid and overworked. These porters are part of a colonialist industry that takes advantage of their work and throws only crumbs at them. People like these bros make amazing videos and profit out of them, together with the owners of the tour operators that are mostly from western countries. In the meantime, porters don't have a decent salary or a humane place to sleep or proper food to eat. The maker of this video comes to a moment of realization where he seems to realize the meaning of life. However, that realization doesn't even touch on the awful way these porters are treated or his damn white privilege At least he had the courtesy to say thank you to those brave porters. The moment the porters become the center of these video adventures, both in practice and in theory, is the moment that the hiking industry becomes sustainable. In the meantime, keep using the porters for the nice footage.

    Stumbled upon your video - part 1 - and just kept on watching. Very well presented, really good videography and so happy you pay tribute to the great local warriors as well.
    Your closing comments about the meaning I can only underscore......I summited Kili twice.......once with other adults in the family. And then I asked my kids, if they ever wanted to experience this magical place in Africa they should let me know when they'd be old enough.
    Two of my three did and I accompanied them up Kili when they were in their upper teenage years and we lived the dream together. I am so grateful to the place, the people there and to my kids for having joined me.
    Now I have to check out what other trips you have taken.................Stefan

    Well done. This is both Inspirational and Spiritual. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.The world and all that dwell therein, For He has founded it upon the seas,
    And established it upon the waters.
    Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
    Or who may stand in His holy place?

To come here speaks of great will power and perseverance, plus an excellent team of porters and guides to support you. The days spent on the mountain proved crucial to acclimatize and rest the body between breaks. Adequate nutrition is also vital for the energy needed to accomplish the mission. So very enjoyable, beautifully filmed and narrated. I always feel an emotional reaction to your vlogs and I think your sound track has a lot to do with that, along with your wonderful personality, of course. I love your message that encourages us to climb our personal mountain be it mental or physical 💕

I have no idea. Maybe like you said everything is in your brain. I love the mountains. I wish I was brave enough like you guys.
