Leto the second has some amazing names also in Children of Dune. I look at Paul a lot like Abraham Lincoln in some ways, especially with the love and worship they both recieved after presiding over some of the bloodest wars mankind has ever seen.
This is so much deeper than most people understand. From the beginning quote from the book, and then your highly accurate breakdown, you really explain 'Dune' accurately so that everyone can explore the wonderful lore associated with it. Another REALLY well-done video as always. Paul is probably I my top 3 favorite characters in the whole of the Dune series, excluding the craziness of the other books and his "reappearance" in them. I particularly found his story with Chani pretty heartbreaking and how overwhelming the decision he has to make must have been. Darwi Odrade was another of my favorites, I don't think Frank Herbert put the detail into her that he did into Paul, but honestly, again, it's a characters understanding of terrible purpose and accepting the horrible things they ses with grace. Of course, Leto the second (or third for total accuracy) as the God Emperor, who I found very fascinating as well! Honestly, Frank Herbert was just a master IMO when it comes to writing amazing characters. Anyway Great video as always!! It's a pleasure to find new nerd cookies videos to watch!

Hello Nerd Cookies! I’d love to see 2 spin-off mini series. One focusing on Duke Leto and his role in influencing the Landsrad. Second the role of Gurney in the aftermath of Paul’s ascension to the throne and his actions to restore Geidi Prime. I think that these are rich story arcs that can further enhance the canon.

The man was both all and none of his titles, and his other names (and eventually no name, and only the title of Preacher).

I see the story arc of Paul as an indictment of modern religion. Many times people believe in a certain figurehead but rarely follows what that person actually taught. Even Paul’s death in Children of Dune underlines this. The people we do enthralled by the worship of him that in the end, when he was actually present and preaching, they kill him and then go back to the worship.
