dude! this video is amazing. i’m an aspiring chef, i love cooking and i watch hours and hours of cooking videos. out of all the boring, copy and pasted youtube “chefs” out there, i actually watched every second of this video from start to finish, no skipping. amazing looking food, fast, informative, food on a budget none of that wagyu truffle bs. and all around hilarious demonstration. i haven’t laughed this hard at a video in a while, i may of found my new favorite chef.
Great video. I love that your pot is stained and you're not all expensive hex clad with metal utensils. Cheap meat (more flavor) + technique - check. Spent the time to cook onions and stir with every limb and orifice - check. Brilliant jus. Brilliant horse/garlic/lemon sauce. I made this earlier today and used a bread knife too instead of the proper roast beef one, easier to thin slice it. Your friend was right about the bread but why are the french rolls the most expensive part now? Used to be able to get bread super cheap. I cut mine diagonal, it makes it easier to dip and eat. This is the way.
Thank you! Honestly it can be a bummer working so hard on a video and getting very few views, but comments like this definitely lift my spirits. Thanks again!
Here I am commenting, which I heard helps 😇 Also damn those sandwiches looked phenomenal. Having been to Philippe's, I highly recommend fresh, ice cold lemonade as the accompanying beverage.
I love french dips but not a fan of the Swiss cheese soooo now I can make it at home w a different cheese. Provalone definitely sounds like a great choice
New sub dude! I like how I was thinking....BS I am not gonna make a sauce and that stuff. Then you showed the hogie bun content! Thats me :) it's a 2 for 1 on content!
This looks really good and pretty easy to do minus the pain in the ass onions. Why do they always take so long!? I'll give it a go this week. And Roast beef from the deli is never as good as a whole chunk of meat made in a Dutch oven. Dutch ovens are magic.
I like what you cook, how you cook it, and your editing format which makes it easy to follow. Thank you! I would guess that you have been trained professionally? Keep up the good work.
Dammit, now I regret not making my own ju, bought some johhny's so I could stuff my face hole all quick like!! Your au jus looked killer!!I'll try it next time.. tomorrow....tonight....RIGHT NOW DAMMIT!!!🤘🤘
why’s everyone so mean in these comments? kinda weird and childish. literally just tryna find a recipe but was struck by the amount of evil on this video:/
Here’s something I’ll never understand with so many UA-camrs. Why do you insist on having the music level so high? Just think about it, we want to hear you clearly with the music as a background not a distraction. When humans speak in our day to day lives, wouldn’t it be odd to have constant music playing? 🤦🏾♂️
This is the most appealing french dip recipe that I've seen so far! Bonus that it doesn't cost a fortune in fancy cuts.

Easy way to do the thyme is to run the stems through the holes in a box grater

That looks delicious 😋 thanks for the recipe
Do you store it wrapped in tin foil over night away from the sauce, or in a container with the sauce?
This looks really good and pretty easy to do minus the pain in the ass onions. Why do they always take so long!? I'll give it a go this week.

Thanks for watching! Haha the onions just like that low heat for that perfect carmelization, but it's so worth it!
Too funny!
The mouth stir 🤣🤣
"Look ma no hands!"
Here’s a wild idea… point the camera at the FOOD instead of the side of the pot the whole time.
Yeah he wasn't thinking like a chef before he pressed record🤣😂

I love looking at pots and not food
Mmmmmm
damn bro
brought him free food and he complains about the bread?
i mean he's not wrong, but god damn the audacity!
🥩🥪
Dude roast beef is a raw chunk roast! Before being roasted. There is no cut on the cow called roast beef.aaaaaaahhhh
Need a roommate? I make good money you're an awesome cook/chef.
The beef looks dry as **** dude
Only because it was cold, once the sliced meat relaxes in the warm au jus it’s tender and delicious.
Why they call it “french”? I’ve never seen this in france
Update: the guy who invented these was called frenchie apparently
But wait, your in Texas but you call those type of sandwiches hoagies? Could've swore that was only a Northeast thing
MMMmmm.
Would be nice to see the onions lol rofl
YOU'RE CUTE..... I'LL TRY IT.
