It's ironic, Chidori’s Persona is Medea, a woman who gave everything to a man only to be betrayed in the end. Here, Chidori gives her life to Junpei, but he stays faithful to her and never abandons her. A little thing about Junpei's resolution is that in the original, this would just be a normal resolution like Akihiko, Ken and others, but in Portable, Hermes and Medea fused into Trismegistus which is honestly a MUCH better direction as it further emphasizes Chidori living on in Junpei, though due to Portable having its limitations being made for the PSP, the awakening unfortunately wasn't shown too well, so I'm VERY glad they carried that over from Portable. And another little detail from Portable was that after Junpei attacked Jin, they pointed out that *Takaya's knees were shaking...* So yes, he WAS in fact scared. And another little thing about Junpei’s resolution, here we see him bypass Jin’s fire immunity, however in the Persona 3 manga, Junpei's rage combined with the life force Chidori gave made him SO powerful that not only he bypassed Jin's fire immunity but he also attacked and was LITERALLY roasting Takaya alive, and he would’ve been burned to a crisp if Yukari didn’t heal him, also the protagonist HAD to summon his Persona Thanatos just to restrain Trismegistus.
I mean, his will was in that moment to see them burn in hell even if he had to make hell on earth himself. I was wondering why his main target wasn’t the dude who shot him.
I think the manga idea is a bit better narratively but the fact that the protagonist has whatever personas you decide to have kinda makes the Thanatos thing undoable. It would’ve been cool if there was an alternate cutscene if you had fused Thanatos by that point (which would require you to be mad overleveled but still)

Secondly yeh junpie's second awakening is momentus AF and fun fact, apparently in the persona 3 manga Junpie's new persona Trismagistus grabs Takaya by the face and slams him into the doors of Tartarus when he awakens so yeh if the game didn't convey it enough Junpie was furious in that moment.

But all of his responses are still in character for him regardless of choice, it's just that you get some more outgoing dialogue choices in reload. Makoto is definitely a savage though and isn't afraid to either be extremely blunt with somebody or just roast them with a straight face LOL

New Game Minus is some insane dedication and i have so much respect for you because of it. from an editing standpoint, i can’t imagine the work it would have taken to perfectly match the new footage with your commentary, it sounds like an impossible task. i don’t usually play Persona games like this, but a lot of people will save on multiple save files, so if something happens they can go back. it’s probably not a bad idea for streamers and youtubers, might not be a bad idea going forward!
I unfortunately have a weird OCD with save files so having too many drives me insane lol but I did make 10 copies of my original file just so I didn’t save over it with the new game minus file 😂😂😂 From an editing perspective, I went in expecting it to be hell and it definitely did take some time but since I use the “auto” feature for dialogue in my normal playthrough, the scripted scenes didn’t take nearly as long as I thought but I’m glad you recognize the work that was put in 🙏🏼

Just to help put into perspective how pissed Junpei was, he was able to knock down Jin with that attack even though Jin Resists Fire. Normally, this wouldn't hold much weight, but Persona is one of those few game series where the elemental weaknesses and such actually matter within the story, right? In fact, it matters so much that in the OG Persona 3, I dunno if it made it into Reload or not, but Akihiko has a dialogue in the dorm about each party member's Persona's weakness, and how they somewhat reflect their personality and relationships. When he gets to himself and Polydeuces, he panics about Polydeuces being weak to Ice, Mitsuru having an Ice Persona, and what that correlation says about him as a person and their relationship. As you can imagine, that caused the shipping to run wild. That that convos happens, I believe, not too long before or after the Love Hotel section, only stoked the flames further.

I just wanna give a gameplay advice, I´d be good to make your team be built around something, like if you use Aigis then use Jumpei, because they´re both Physical based. Or if you use mitsuru then use like koromaru. But the one character you must always have is Yukari, believe me Keep the good work my man, You know I sleep late af so this is perfect for me lmao
You can pretty much switch you yukari with ken if you want to. SP management becomes really easy late game, and Ken has overall better coverage, heat riser and one of (if not) the best support theurgies in the game. It's all up to preference, but ken is definitely just as good as Yukari
Wait why would you use Koro with Misturu? Koros a Phys Support Character with Revolution and Power Howling.He also does more damage with Getsu-ei than with Mag as Getsu-ei is only 8% weaker than Brave Blade in Full Moon. Lastly Crits count for his Theurgy Condition. But generally Ken is just better than Yukari just due to having more than just healing going for him (and even then he outclasses Yuka at healing). The thing is though both are very easily covered with items. Yuka is pretty meh as shes frail, slow, worst Dps and her utility is weak and limited. (also due to shenanigans in the code her Theurgy is slower in bosses and yes this is unintentional).
My theories aren’t always correct but I always catch on eventually. give the pot some time to simmer and I’ll cook 😂 definitely will look more into team building since I’ve been taking time between episodes to grind! Thank you bro

Sorry for the late upload but Persona 5 is definitely on the list but I’m taking a break from Persona to explore other kinds of games for the time being, but I do plan on doing the secret boss in this game as well as the DLC in September, so the Persona 5 Royal playthrough will be sometime after that :)
