I love how I've never seen Boros Bully in Modern. Somehow I imagine that Embercleave would sit nicely next to Stoneforge Mystic and a pile of tokens, plus some burn and Blood Moons.
I've been having a blast with snow in EDH and it has become one of my favorite decks i own in paper I'm so glad you made a video of the archetype in modern!

Unfortunately my version isn't the best since I'm missing many snow staples from the past (scrying sheets being the better one i'm missing), however I tried and build it the most flavorful way possible so I'm running cards like flashfreeze and frost lynx which aren't good but flavorful :)

I have actually been playing a very similar deck to this for a couple weeks. Great thing about Ascendant Spirit is that it can be your turn 1, 2, 3, and 4 play! ;D
Looks like my modern snow monsters might get some upgrades. Although I'm not sure if I'll cut the snow crab. It has done amazing work for me in the past.
Is it just me or would it have been great to keep in Marit Lage's Slumber against that Boros control deck? Not counting towards the 20/20, but the scry on every play would have been insane
i hope you come back to the snow deck some time soon, i would love to see glacial revelations and see how you would do red/white with snow, im so tempted by what they offer, a tutor for almost everything and a 0* mana kill spell are really good but i cannot see the deck cutting anything nor making 4/5 colour work without astrolabe.
@@gokumasteredultrainstinct6883 Same. I'm running it in a Historic build that I made, and I've been running it in Highlander in GU Tempo as well. As a matter of fact, I just got smacked around by it yesterday by a guy playing it in his Izzet Prowess deck. It's a really underappreciated card.
It seems like the best decks in Modern are the ones with specific themes like Snow or Dredge. I have a feeling the new Modified ability is going to break open Modern. I guess we'll see lol
+Aqswd While you're right, since Jorn is a germanic Name and Scandinavia, Vikings etc. are part of Germanic Culture (not to be confused with German Culture, which itself is just a part of Germanic Culture), i gotta say it would be kinda silly to expect Magic Players from all over the World to pronounce every Name of a Character in Magic or a Word that is from non-english Languages correctly. F.e.: I'm German, i constantly hear Magic Players that aren't German pronounce german Names/Words "Immersturm", "Anje" and "Falkenrath" and many other Names incorrectly, and that's okay. Magic the Gathering is a diverse Game using Languages, Cultures etc. from all around the World. As a German you would never get me to pronounce "Squirrel" correctly, and i speak fluent english. So if someone like Seth who is a Native English Speaker doesn't pronounce some Name/Word in German correctly, that's totally fine. All of that said, of course ponting out to someone how to pronounce it correctly, especially if that Person is asking how to pronounce it, it's fine. Just don't expect them to pronounce it right, and honestly, if they don't care much about the Pronounciation, it's completely fine Prost and Cheers from the Bavarian Alps

I think as long as it's all in good humor/banter when you say some convoluted english card name in a wrong way, for example, like the MTGGoldfish Best of Video of you pronouncing something funny you Guys did. It's fun. Also as Bavarian, i'm also constantly told to "speak proper German" because our Dialect is so different and how we pronounce German Words is also vastly different, so i know that Feel :D However, in UA-cam Comment Sections it's not too rare that i see People actually get "upset/annoyed" if you mispronounce something. Those are the worst and i hope if you see someone genuinely getting upset about a certain Word you mispronounced, you will keep pronouncing it that way next Time just for the Trolling Factor haha At least that's what i would do. Kinda like Andrea Mengucci embraced the "VEEDEO" Meme, which btw is how Italians and also us Germans pronounce "Video" Prost and Cheers from the Bavarian Alps and keep up the great Content

If that Boros control player seemed oddly janky, they were almost 100% playing a Stuffy Doll/Boros Reckoner combo deck. Pariah + Blasphemous Act are very very specific tech for a Stuffy Doll list. I'm guessing they just had absolutely horrible luck and never could draw the combo.
@mtggoldfish was there any specific reason you didn't play glacial revalation. Seems super good as it draws all the snow cards you want and graveyards the ones you don't like narfi.

that is because all Boros deck are knight decks secretly
That second deck is a deck called Pale Moon. That deck is built on doing one sided wipes and locking people under Blood Moon.

No Avalanche Callers is weird to me. That card is a house and a half. You could definitely also be running Faceless Haven and/or Frostwalk Bastion.
I also thought there'd be Callers in the 75. Seems strong. I could see tweaking this list and giving it a try on my own.

I think just between the spirit and treefolk, you could run ice control and use those as the finishers
