- Wow! Serbia is so much more beautiful than we thought!
And we are just at the beginning of our road trip around the country.
After our visit to Subotica, we went towards Drina river, where we stopped at a nature reserve, housing the Balkan donkeys that produce one of the most expensive cheese on earth!
We then stopped at an Etno Park for a traditional Serbian meal, and a look at a mini Serbian village. And we ended our road trip by staying at the most amazing glamping spot by the river Drina.

I envy you guys. I'm a Serbian living far away from Serbia and traveling around Serbia for a couple of days sounds like science fiction to me. It's the lack of time that's killing me. Safe travel and hope to see more content from my country. Can't get enough of it :))

That red sauce that you thought is Ajvar is actually Apricot Jam, apricots are very popular in Serbia for making jams and it makes a more drinkable smoother less powerful Rakia, one of my favorite rakias is apricot. Great video guys , there are plenty of amazing etno villages in Serbia and for a bit of clarification, Etno means nostalgia or "how it used to be" "rustic/ancient, that would be some translation , basically Etno is like a theme for Restaurants that want to bring back traditional Serbian food, culture, buildings ,products etc and relive it in the 21st century for tourists and Serbs alike .Like a glorified village from the past! much love.

That corn breads are called Proya (Проја) and since 90’s it is become very popular to be baked in shape of muffins, when I was kid they were been mostly square shaped. You have several types of them, if you like stuffed with ham and cheese and bacon, you ask for Tzarska (Imperial) or Shpanska (Spain) proya, depending who is calling them how, those are the luxury ones. Glad you like it, enjoy Serbia and Balkan!
Omg we adopted those two puppies in Zasavica on Thursday, we gave them names Mirko and Slavko 😂 And you can enter the fields and pet the donkies! Too bad nobody told you that you can 😭

I recommend you checking it out, it's definitely worth visiting.

20:20 it is Gibanica, not Burek.
Burek is a slightly different version of a traditional pie but has different fillings. Gibanica is known for only having cheese and other dairy such as cream, sour cream, yoghurt or milk. You'll also see anywhere from 3-10 eggs added to the traditional version of gibanica. ❤
