There's an American mechanic here living in Belgrade for like past 20 years. He met a Serbian woman in the US, they got married and moved to Serbia. After some years they got divorced, she went to the US and he stayed in Belgrade. He runs his own mechanic's workshop and says he has no interest in going back to the US.

Naturally, he's an expert in American cars although he doesn't shy away from fixing anything really, as long as you're willing to pay his hourly rate. I first met him when a friend of mine needed something fixed on his Cherokee Jeep and the next time I went to him he was busy working on a 1990 Ford Sierra.
In any case, keep an eye on this thread, I'll reply here when I track him down

As natural speaker, you can work as teacher, teaching students English language one to one and make easly around 20 $/€ per hour, cash. Maybe even more. At least in Belgrade, I don't know for other cities.
With that money, you can have good start living in Serbia, live good life, save some monay, pay private medical insurance, car insurance, rent.. and even you can find job in English private schools, make your Serbian papers..etc.. etc..
Of course, could be some problems, like enywhere else. Only think you need is a couple thousand $ to start and good will.
      Welcome to Serbia.

It just comes so naturally to me , but my serbian is quite , rough. The first story about how the Serbian guy first started to tell him about how his country bombed Serbia and after that bought him a whole dinner with a “Welcome to Serbia”. That is exactly the Serbia that they don’t show you in the media. They are only trying to make Serbia look bad to the world, but actually I never experienced any bad situation in Serbia (in terms of racism or hate towards other people).
